  1. I see where I left out some details... They follow the same route under the car. The exit side in the rear is different as I mentioned. If you bought a 'bolt-in' kit from MSA I'm not sure where it bolts up to. Obviously the turbo exhaust exit at the engine will be different than the non-turbo. The owner will need to figure that one out. Some of MSA's kits are cat-back and you may need a new or different catalytic converter. On the other hand, the 1982-83 non-turbo exhaust exits out the rear left just like the turbo muffler does. So maybe it is a non-turbo exhaust but just for 1982-83 only.
  2. yes it will fit. The exhaust will exit out of the rear left side and will not have that extended pipe that goes over to the right like your 81 NA has stock. You may have to trim the rear lower apron just a little to clear the tail pipes. No big deal
  3. It was his mom's car. Good chance that its an auto. Auto, non-turbo, 2+2! The highly sought after 280ZX
  4. lowers the power going to the injectors. Over time, without them the injectors would burn out prematurely. I think its the OHMs that is changed.
  5. 1983-84 Maxima. They had an overdrive on/off button on the center console. The driveshaft from the Maxima or Z probably won't fit though.
  6. or maybe its a scam to sell as many as possible before the complaints roll in. You send money, get nothing.
  7. wood can be used to make engine mounts...
  8. old news. I've never seen a 350Z Transformer. There was a 300ZX towards the end of the series. (Z31) The toys in the 1980's were all silver but the box still said Bluestreak and had pictures of a blue Z on it. The toy's re-release is where I first saw it labeled as Silverstreak around 2004. Nowhere in the old cartoons was he silver or referred to as Silverstreak.
  9. You make the Z31 swap sound much more complicated than it actually is. Also, you get far better gains than the AFM tuning. That AFM is still garbage technology and the only bennefit would be seen at high rpm and wide open throttle. The Z31 MAS gives you better mixture at all rpm and throttle ranges.
  10. Nice set of Z's.

  11. Don't put the emblems back on. It looks great as it is
  12. I noticed you are using the TTT wheel adapters, would you be willing to sell them.email me at rotarysss@sbcglobal.netconrad

  13. small black spoiler looks much better. From 60 to 100mph you would blow past that 350Z if you had about 300 wheel hp. Depending on what year the 350Z was, it would only have 240-255whp (SAE corrected) stock and they weight more than your car. With the factory size turbo and the electronics you're running at 15psi you're probably right around the same hp level as a 350Z. I would have thought you could pass the other Z.
  14. The show at Performance Nissan in Everett is Aug 9, same day as the Bluelake meet in Portland.
  15. If its the original rear, it should be an R200 3.9 with CV axles.
  16. for large packages forget USPS. check UPS and FedEx but FedEx ground is always cheaper. They have fewer offices to cut their own costs. I just sent four wheels to California. UPS wanted $85 to send. FedEx ground was $46
  17. the u-join connection on the steering column is the same on all the 280ZX cars. Where it plugs in to the gearbox is where you start gathering parts. The whole crossmember under the steering rack and including the rack and tie rod ends is what you need. Your steering column will slide into this unit and then bolt into your car under the engine. There is a 1979 with manual steering locally in a wrecker... but its not right hand drive
  18. Post Office? They'll want $300. FedEx Ground will likely be $55 or so. I like the color of your 280ZX.
  19. Wrecking yard. $3 for a used one. Done deal.
  20. Many 1979 280ZX's had a manual steering rack. They unbolt with the crossmember (you need the manual crossmember that the rack bolts to) EZ
  21. A 280ZX turbo is slow, but its sure faster than a stock 260Z.
  22. Its a good look. Similar to my car but not exactly the same paint. I took off the rear center panel between the tail lights before anything else.
