  1. well, looks like a decent Fairlady project. I was very happy to pay $1000 for mine a few years back and it was in much worse condition.
  2. on my project I'm not sure what type of turbo Z the T5 was from but I had slipped both the coupe and 2+2 driveshafts into it. I'm glad I didn't run into this issue.
  3. oh! I noticed that the page 15 image isn't loading all the way. Only shows 4 VINS at the top of the page. So yes, there are some more vin numbers that should be showing on that page. I'll get that fixed soon.
  4. My 2006 has 4600 miles now... your wife needs to drive a little more!
  5. I have those pages at home. I forgot to upload them this last weekend. I'll put them up soon.
  6. I can re-scan them and crop out the white area so the numbers are larger EDIt: I just noticed pages 10, 11 are missing! oops!
  7. check out seattle.craigslist.com or publicstorage.com and look for yourself. really sad.... but the good thing is, I'm on the waiting list for a 2-car garage at my complex. Can't wait till that happens. Not many apartments have that option. Cost of living is up but so are the wages. Same with California. You see the expensive housing costs, but then you may not know that kids are making $20/hour down there at entry level jobs. in my case... 1-bed apt, 1-car garage, + 1 covered parking spot = about $1000/month
  8. are you sure they're 15's?? If the outside of the lip measures 15" accross then they're actually 14's. A lot of those JDM wheels came in 13-14" diameters. If they are 15's then put them on your car!
  9. well at least you know for sure now.
  10. I kept this in mind and found an apartment with garages. They say don't work on cars, all cars have to be running and registered. It also says no storage of household items in the garage. I asked them about the storage and they said they dont' care. "Its all just standard contract stuff...." so in my case it sounds like they don't enforce this as long as you keep it clean and dont bother anyone else. My neighbor has a nice bench set up and an old Sprite in his garage so I'm in good company. However, keeping current tabs on an old car is easy. No emissions to bother with, you just pay for the stickers each year. I also have street parking by the complex but that's risky for a rare car. I don't want to resort to that for anything that's valuable. I looked into Craigslist garages in Washington but they typically ran $150-200 a month for 1-car garages! way too expensive. I wish I could get a place for $50/month! In fact, the $75/month garage at my place is the cheapest I have ever found. It doesn't even make sense to go offsite. Public starage is $250/month around here for 1-car garage. $90/month for one outdoor parking spot!
  11. dished pistons were used up to 1980. Flat tops would be in the F54 non turbo blocks in 1981-83 only if it is a stock setup. The cost varies greatly. I don't see many people doing a non turbo L28 to turbo upgrade (as in modifying the existing engine) but doing a complete motor swap is easy. In my case I had a 280ZX NA and bought a 280ZX turbo parts car for $500. It did take a while to find one and I'm in Washington where they are plentiful. Out in GA you're screwed. I swapped the engine in, had about $100 in misc costs, and made about $400 in parts sales from the rest of the car. Its old technology though and only 180hp to start with. The RB already has a much better ECU and head. If your goal is 200-250 whp then just do the L28et motor swap if you can find one close to you at all. You may just never find one though and be forced to order an RB25det. Dont' bother with an RB20DET, IMO In my case I was not going to be able to afford a shop, nor would I consider it so the L28et motor swap made more sense. I don't have a welder for any kind of fab work or $5000+ for the RB engine at that time.
  12. tell them to buy the pricks' 8mpg Hummers setting in traffic! Get the SUV drivers off the road.
  13. woah, youre driving on the wrong side of the road! nice video
  14. My fax from Nissan Motorsports says 1012 but that's only the word of one guy who worked at nissan in the late 90's. Either way, they did sell 1001 to the public because they had to sell a minimum of 1000. didn't want to miscount by one.
  15. alright guys, I finally took the time to scan them. They are uploading right now. They'll probably be ready by the time you read this. They seem to be random vins. Maybe someone has a text recognition program and can take them from JPG format to text and put that online. Then people can just do a search for their VIN. http://www.bleachgarage.com/images/zxr
  16. Not likely. Your 280ZX is completely different. I test fitted 16x9 front, 16x10 rear on my 280ZX and they did not rub or hit on the inside at all. (+0) They were flush with the outside lip of the fenders. Would almost clear if lowered (camber). The 280ZX has extremely deep fenders. I ran 18x8 -7 with no clearance problems. Had room to spare in the rear... I'd suggest 7.5 width front though. My 8 inch wide was cutting it close up front. But in the back of the 280ZX even 9.5 will clear fine on +4 wheels.
  17. ok, I made another one with a little less bounce to it. Sized it down for possible signature use.
  18. The 280ZX is wider. The 240Z bumper curves around the sides so no, they really won't fit widthwise. Besides that, of course you can customize the bumper mounts any way you choose. The MSA II kit looks good in my opinion on the 280ZX. It smooths out the bumpers front and rear. There aren't a lot of options for the 280ZX
  19. I found the ZXR VIN papers but haven't had time to scan them yet.
  20. I have seen RHD S130 cars for sale before. All of them were 2+2 models.
  21. I have simular CRX seats but they are not leather. I was able to modify the stock ZX brackets so the Honda seats bolted to them. This retains all factory mounting on the car itself and the original seatbelt setup.
  22. Use the stock throttle. I had the MSA on my car for a few years. I was tired of the sticky and sensative repsonse. I went back to stock and gained power. I could feel the added torque instantly.
