  1. I'm running windows 8 and it works fine. I've removed real programmable ecu's and gone back to the stock nistuned ecu with much better driveability. Several of these were diy built "standalone" ecu's. The ecu's had rpm or sensor issues that couldn't be resolved in a timely manner so we went with something that worked.
  2. Glad you're ok Hanns.
  3. I believe there are several 500+hp cars running this setup. The z32 has been over 850whp for over a decade. Great inexpensive easy to install option. Factory tuned maps to start with, all sensors are compatible and easily upgradeable. Gotta have a good harnes just like any ecu.
  4. 280zedx's car must be a freak setup then. He drove it on the street for several years before stripping it down to a race car. I have no idea why his works but it does and he's never had any issue like that. His megasquirt on the other hand has been and interesting war that never seems to end. But that's another story. I'm confident that you'll figure it all out.
  5. Odd that it work on 280zedx's car without issue. I've seen pics of others that worked as well. Did you have a blowoff valve between the charger and throttle body?
  6. I would say it is possible to run with the throttle body in the stock location after the supercharger. 280zedx's car is setup that way and he's had no issues.
  7. If you're going to bring the car to a shop for tuning go with what they recommend or at least ask their opinion on what you're thinking about using.
  8. Usually that indicates the rom is corrupt. Best to post this in the nistune forum.
  9. The boy wants to go-karting while the women go shopping. Any places you would recommend? We're staying in the scottsdale area. Thanks for all the replies gentlemen.
  10. Taking the family away from -30deg weather to do some exploring in Phoenix. So far have a day planned for the Grand Canyon and some poking around in Sedona for a day. Anyone have some recommendations on places to stay and or see while we're down there? We'll be going the last week in March.
  11. I'm saying try it between the Intercooler and the throttle body. Blow thru setup.
  12. J30 or maxima works with nistune. I would look into either the rb26 ecu or the z32 ecu as they have more tables identified. Same harness for both with a pin or two to change for firing order. Actually the max with ve engine works as well.
  13. If you can, put maf in front of throttle body. Is this a mail order tune? Tough to get that right the first try.
  14. You can turn off the feedback from the o2 in nistune in a number of ways.
  15. That should cover everything. I have never run an o2 other than a wideband on mine. We don't have emissions testing here.
  16. I use the throttle stop screw. I've used that since the 90's.
  17. Used RB harness would work the best. Probably wouldn't need to change much if anything. The stock vg cas goes against the cyl head. The side to the cyl head now goes down onto the dist shaft. You are correct about the firing order. And I still use the vg ptu to fire the coils.
  18. I grafted the z32 plug onto the stock L28ET harness. I had to add some wiring for the coils and I'm using the stock z32 maf with 680cc injectors. The coils are msd blaster ss.
  19. I run a z32 ecu on my L28ET. Works very well. You have to fit the z32 cas to the distributor shaft buy drilling a hole in the L28 mounting plate and setup the cas inside the turbo distributor. The rb ecu would be very similar.
  20. As title states. PM me if you've got one.
  21. I'd ride her.........I mean give her a ride.
  22. zcar? Can you pm me please? Your mail box is full.
  23. I spent some time with the owner of whitehead performance at the MSA show a few years back. Great guy. PM slownrusty as his engine is built with goodies from Whitehead.
