  1. *shrugs* I preferred using our shopvac with a 5 foot long tube with a funnel at the end.. lol. Sucks all of them right up! then plug up the hose tube.

    If I were to take any Diesel, i'd be out of a VW/Audi.. and YES, the 1.9TDI can get 300+ WHP.. well over that amount in torque. No, you do NOT have to stomp the pedal in the floor to move, those cars pull Hard, trust me on that one. 1.9TDI swap is going in my jetta, i'll definetly be alot faster than my ZX. Go look on some Audi/VW forums.. Benz forums too. http://www.Vwvortex.com Theres a good start.
  4. I would definetly be interested in the bumper cover, airdam, and fenders. Just figure out the price when its done, i'm game.

    None taken Gollum! I consider my project interesting only because I just bought a car.. knowing really not that much about them.. and deciding to rebuild it! It's been a learning process, thats for sure. I would guess i'm doing pretty well so far.. started out in my dads driveway.. with no real tools, no garage, no automotive assistance besides you guys. ( Tons of help! ) Thats all changed now though.. ( A few bucks and months later, lol ) Was trying to prove a point at the same time, you can really do anything you want if you really set your mind to it. There is just too many people that don't have the patience and quit. ( Assuming they don't run into family issues or financial problems, so don't take that the wrong way! ) I Will finish this ZX, and i'm gonna do it the right way. I'm done rambling, cheers! Steve-

    Okay, I bailed on myself today with the undercarriage parts.. haha. I ended up finishing painting my jetta.. woo.. looks like a ratrod now.

    Lol, I don't want to go through that again either. My buddy bailed on me with his truck, so I might just get all my undercarriage parts and subframes sandblasted today. Atleast I can have those all painted and done, so when my cars finished I can just bolt them on.

    Haha, thanks for the kind words woldson.. I'm trying to keep things organized and documented decently, I just hope i can do the MS successfully on video.. hopefully it'll help alot of our guys out. Also, this tuesday the Z will be off to be sandblasted. I just need to find someone with a trailer I can borrow, or I can rent one Besides that, just been working on my Jetta.. its a fun little car.. i'm just so tempted to throw some rustoleum on the Z and drive it around.. lol Steve-

  10. I know it has been forever since I last posted.. been busy and stuff.. Anywhoot! This tuesday i'm going in to get the Z sandblasted and painted.. Luckily a friend of mine found a guy to do it for me for a nice price. The car is going to be black.. ( its getting panel painted.. since I haven't finished my fiberglass parts yet ) so I don't want to have mix-matched paint.. I'll have a red tint thrown in later when all my parts are done. Anyways... all my goals remain the same. I should have a bunch of pictures up soon, maybe some videos.. then.. Megasquirt! Cheers!

    I could see that swap being an awesome drag car, thats about it... If those diesel trucks can hit low 11's or high 10's in the quarter, i'm sure the Z could with the same engine. xD
  12. In my experiences with bosch, they weren't worth the money I paid for what I got.. I ran platinums in my 1990 delta 88, made the car run worse.. I went back to AC Delco and had less problems, more reliability, and more spark. They work Amazing in my Jetta, but every other car I put them in I was a little disappointed with. I was running them in my Z once I took them out of my olds, and took them off again and put some NGK's in my ZX and have been happy ever since.. Basically.. I don't like them for their price and they don't last very long, again, this is just from my experiences with them... The End.
  13. I didn't mean about the installation or whatnot of the titan, just of engines that have been installed and some of the awesome fabrication guys have done, which would be a sort of inspiration towards the titan install. Should have been more specific.

  16. I don't see why it is Not possible, nothing is without modification! Shiiiit.. they put a twin turbo LS1 in a classic mini! I want to put a powerstroke or cummins in my Z, bwaha

  19. You could get the intake.. but its not really gonna do anything unless your turbo'd or have another type of forced induction. I would say try and remove some weight... doesn't cost anything unless you get fiberglass stuff. =P

  21. Thanks for the info geezer, i'm going to take your advice. I realized how expensive and nasty it would be after reading into it more and looking at prices. Apparently there is a guy who sandblasts professionally like 3 minutes from my garage.. Gotta go see him tomorrow and figure out a price and time. I appreciate all your responses, otherwise I would of probably went out and got an expensive setup and not done the job properly and been pissed, haha. Thanks!

  23. Lol, I noticed that too... I was like... "He pulled the radiator with the engine? =]" I tried to use the little drain plug but it was already broken.. =[
