  1. Radio Shaq doesn't have automotive dingers. Only regular buzzers and a couple beepers. One that dounds like a doorbell. I'm talking about the dingers they put in your new car.
  2. Anybody know how those dingers you get in your new car work? Where would you get those. If it's cheap, I might try one. It might be a cool thing to replace that old buzzer in your Z...
  3. Or you could just draw a big circle in a parking lot, park the car in the center, and move your camera (on a tripod) around the line.
  4. I thought you would need more than 6 to get a reaaly good view.
  5. I'm not talking about any panoramic view stuf. I think you might be too. I didn't think it would be easy, like the panorama stuff is. According to what i remember, you didn't need wide-angle photos, because you're looking into the center, instead of out.
  6. I think Macromedia has software that you can use to show 360 degree photos of things. Anybody heared of this? I looked into it once and d/l'd the software, but I kinda figured that you would need special equipment to take the photos, or at least, you'd need to buy the software to make the photos. I think it woiuld be just the thing to show off your car. Kinda like a hologram.
  7. I would suggest using a laser printer or something with very fine output. Or if you can, print on 11x17 inch paper.
  8. I'm asking to see if it's been done because i haven't had time to try the GTO front clip on there. I know the cockpit sheetmetal (corner?) is there, but I don't know how much of a gap is between the metal and the fender. You get a fiberglass inner fender to install, but I think you could substitue a metal strip in the shape of the fender panel to support the fender. That would let even more air pass. One could also beat the sheetmetal on the corners of the cockpit to open it up and 'streamline' the corner, assuming there's nothing on the inside that would get hurt while you hammer, or can't be moved slightly. thx.
  9. Wasn't there a sidebar with links to basic how-tos and info like Brake swap, etc? I remember seeing one months ago, and I thought it was on Hybridz, but it could've been on 240z.org . Pretty sure it was here, and I turned it off from my Control Panel. Is there a use CP on this system? thx.
  10. Was anybody able to open up the slots on the front fenders and make things so that air can actually pass through there? This would help with engine cooling and help reduce lift at speed. thx.
  11. Since ther is so much air going under the carm causing lift, it means to methat there is a LOT of air going over the headers. That air should keep the intake relatively cool when the car is moving, and heat buildup would only be a problem when ithe cars isn't moving or in stop-and-go traffic. One more reason why you should put the GTO front clip on and open up the air exits!
  12. I need a fuel rail too, but polishing would be too ggod for my engine. I would just run some fine sandpaper over it. thx.
  13. I've been searching for an alternative for the Honduh Civic pushbutton hatch locks for the Ferrari-style door pulls, but nothing good so far. A local body shop guy told me LOTS of cars from 68-75 had pushbutton door pulls, but those also had separate locks. No help there. So I'm back to working with the MG boot locks. Those would be nice, but they don't go too far through the door. Any ideas? What year was those Hondo locks? I couldn't find the original thread on here- about a year ago? thx.
  14. I got a good scan of my wiring diagram, and I uploaded it to my web site. It's for my 1978 280Z, which some of you Bozos have. Go to my Z page: http://www.angelfire.com/pe2/modeltom/ferrari.html
  15. What about a custom cap? Do you think you could take the stock Z cap and have some sculptor-guy grind the Z off then add stuff to put/carve a new logo on it? Like a horse? Naked lady? Maybe you could even replace the top part of the cap totally? It's probably a one-pice deal.
  16. What kind of cars use the cable-operated 4 speed shifter? Is it one cable, or two? I'm still interested in adapting one for the auto trans. thx.
  17. You should also check your rotors to make sure they are of the same thickness. My brake guy told me it pulled one way for him & found the opposite side rotor was thinner., i.e. the thicker one brakes first/harder. Also, you might wanna check the M.C. to make sure the O-ring seals are good. I have to push mine twice to get a firm pedal.
  18. Good on yer, Mate! We can't get enough exposure. Besides, if the GTO stuff gets popular and cheaper, I'll be able to finish MINE! LOL Actually, the door pulls are what's holding me up.
  19. I have a GOOD copy from the Mitchell's book. I scanned it and it now it will email easy. It prints out nice if you can print it to scale at 11 inches wide because the fine print and fine lines were not too clear, even at 150 dpi. Also, I couldn't join all 4 pageson the computer, but this is something you can do yourself easily.
  20. I sawa a program on Discovery channel called "Rides" where they did 1/2 of it on the new Cobra. Ugly car. What they did was OK, but it doesn't look like a cobra. It didn't even have a round radiator hole on the front. To me, it looked like a shoebox with rounded corners. They supposedly made a big deal with the taillights, but they ended up being 2 dinky round holes with bulbs inside-originals were slightly bug-eyed. With the similarities they focused on with the Mustang, the GT (not GT-40!), They should totally redo the body to be more rounded, like the opriginal. The lights shouldn't be flush or inset, and the interior should be simpler. My 2 cents.
  21. There was another topic where somenody got some lights from a Big truck (semi) that looked like Enzo made them. I think they were 4 inch round ones.
  22. What is there in the way of security for the spinners & wheels? All somebody would need to steal a wheel, besides a jack, is a hammer, or a small log, or anything to whack at the spinner's ears- even the jack handle. It's the second biggest expenditure, besides the car (except new engine.) thx.
  23. I was doing some searching and ended up at McMaster. There I saw a lock called a Camlock. So I'm thinking now what you need is somerthing called a PUSHBUTTON CAMLOCK. You will need to make your own finger pull, tho.
  24. I might be wrong, but Those things on the underside at the rear edge look more like a beauty piece to me. The (slot) is so narrow, that I don't think it would effect passing air much. In fact, I think the muffler would have more of an effect because it hangs down that much. The good news is that I haven't seen one on a Hondu yet!
  25. I think I can answer bluex's question-- The 'rattling' you might hear is from the three rivits that hold the finger thing to the hub. The might be loose or just a little worn, so it's a metal-to-metal; sound you hrear. I notice it from driving down a bumpy dirt road. I tried putting a smear of GOOP into the notches of the hub to tighten that up andit seems to help a little, but those rivits still rattle. Maybe you could force some silicone or something into the gap to tigjhten it up.
