I will keep my eyes open but Im pretty dang broke right now... Im not planning to just swap engines asap, I want to rebuild this one, then turbo it, then drop it in the Z. It will be an incredable learning experience and because my Z has a reliable engine in it now I wont be in a rush to finish this one... as my budget allows I guess
this is just what I was hoping would happen, you guys have all given me good ideas, and I think a combo of all of them is in order. thank you, I was worried I would have to buy my own hoist for minute. I cant wait to bring this engine home!
you mis understood, Id put it in there with a hoist (the seller has one), as always Im trying to spend as little as possable on this, would it be easy enough to take apart the head/block and unload it with a couple of friends? how much do blocks and heads weigh anyways?
yeah that sounds like a great idea, and hes a friend with a Z so borrowing the hoist wont be a problem... the price of 30$ sounds a little on the low side though
well the guy Im getting the engine from has a hoist so it will be easy to load, and my Z is my only car and I have to get the engine home somehow. would I be better off taking apart the block and head at his house and bringing it home in pieces?
well thats what I need to do. I will soon be picking up a f54 with a p79, I dont have an engine hoist, have any of you guys had a situation like this? any ideas on how to get this thing around? oh and will it fit in the back of my Z? (obvoisly I will take out my speaker box for this)
man that looks good, all of it except one thing... because everything is so clean and all your old/dirty/non polished thermostat housing sticks out like a sore thumb... but man that thing is going to be fun... very nice
issue solved guys, he disconected and the cleaned the AFM, inside and out, pluged it back in and the car runs as good as ever, whod of thunk it... anyways thanks to everybody that offered advice I, and my friend, appreciate it
