  1. The answer is always 42 How much longer do you bet till this ends up in the tool shed?
  2. Now that's how you know a wheel fits snug. Even the lowriders would be jealous.
  3. Haters! Although I'll say it's the first time I've ever seen a cf/csm hybrid. but your secret is safe with us
  4. 1. Remove linkage rods 2. Install cable
  5. Do yours also mount on the shock towers? They seem to work only in the orientation for which they are designed. I wanted 3-point so I got zx belts for my 240 and they wouldn't unlock in the vertical position.
  6. How much will you sell the glass dash for?
  7. Yeah I got it. Although I read the two right seats on sundays thing like five times and am still boggled. So basically the engineers at nissan are cheap skates, who'd have guessed
  8. Yup. I was turning the driveshaft around and while it didn't seem to wiggle or look bad I finally realized the zerk fitting had come out, probably what that clatter was. So when I took it off two of the cups were cracked. Only a $20 fix
  9. I was driving to work today on a totally flat road and out of nowhere heard a strange clatter like a small part shook loose and shortly after the whole car started to shake like crazy. It seems like it's a rear end thing but I'm not sure -- it just gets more violent the faster I go and is really low pitched. No other sound is heard like a bearing whine or anything. No apparent loss of power or hard clutch either. The engine itself doesn't do anything out of the ordinary if I rev it under no load, but when I crawl under the car I can't find anything loose, missing, or out of the ordinary at all! I still have no idea what the clatter was. At first I thought it was a ballast coming off of a rim because I noticed one was missing, but I went to get the wheels balanced (ended up buying all new tires) and there was no change. Any ideas?
  10. I gotta say it's embarrassing that I never noticed before, but are the rear control arms symmetrical or did someone replace one of mine with the wrong side? The left a-arm has the rounded side facing the ground and the right side has the flat plate side facing the ground, wtf? Seems like the left would be correct, but I'm not sure what to make of it. When I was installing the r200 I noticed the right cv was hard to get in like there wasn't enough room, but still didn't notice and neither did anyone else ha!
  11. I don't get it. What's paper again? Something to do with PDF's that you can hold, like on your Kindle?
  12. "okay my car just started doing something weird that it never used to do"

  13. I got over 300hp and I don't know the first thing about driving. I would love a link to that monster! Yeah just because it's old doesn't mean it lacks potential, and 3 liter engines aren't too small to get real power without complete remanufacture anymore.
  14. Yeah I even had trouble finding a z in decent shape. I went to see a bunch but most weren't even worth the effort, which was disconcerting. So when I saw mine I thought it was worth the extra money, although in retrospect I bet I could have gotten one just like it for half the price if I held out more, especially after talking to people on here who score killer deals--patience is the key.
  15. I bought louvers that were fabricated the same way as those but with rounded off sides and only one spine, assuming aftermarket. I just drilled a few holes in my hatch... Did the zx actually have louvers as a factory option anyway? Seems like any louvers would have to be custom installed as they would all mismatch.
  16. Naw I don't think that's ever the case. I'm actually on my way to home depot to pick up a couple of sandbags right now
  17. I agree that it wouldn't be very difficult to remote mount a faceplate like that. In fact you could probably find a molex type extension that fits the stereo and plate directly so you wouldn't have to do any crazy wiring. That said, the mounting locations in both those pics are absolutely idiotic. Most people seem to get by with what they have while retaining functionality. Remote mounting is more for aesthetics than anything.
  18. I think Dale Gribble is the only person I have permission to see right now.

  19. Ditto, thought I was finally off this internet forum
  20. You make it sound so enticing! I would consider it but at the moment I can't afford to have my car out of service, perhaps in the future. My original plan was to get a second dash and make a mold off of it for a composite one, but like I may have said I was planning on doing it in such a way that it mounts like stock. It seemed a little foreboding so I put it on hold, apparently these guys thought the same thing and just axed that part of the plan altogether.
