  1. i have some wide 5 lug nissan wheels im not sure what they are from how cheap are you lookin to get?
  2. it would probably swap out the exhaust turbine with a 1.08 instead of the 1.23 to spool quicker but i think itll do about 1000 hp
  3. i got the bridgeport, a lathe and a surface grinder, two table saws a belt grinder a router and hundreds of drill bits lathe bits and end mills for 1000 bucks and theywere only up the street. so i used my engine hoist and my truck and i didnt have to hire a rigger. look on ebay you can find used bridgeports for under 2 refurbished sometimes. i wish i could find a girl that was into what i do! your a lucky guy. i already layed the rad forward but i could go more i spose heh. where did you get that kit? ive never seen a turbo setup that plumbed into the manifold. it might fit over yonder but i think i might run something smaller if i decide to go turbo. this one i just borrowed from a friend heh. heh if i mounted it in the passenger seat who would be up for a turbo manifold mounted grill hahahah i could spool and grill food at the same time and i wouldnt need a heater core anymore, if i ran turbo id definitely find room for an intercooler. i believe it was only 175 on ebay shipping included
  4. the other day i was working on my bridgeport and i noticed something new in my engine bay http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peej410/album?.dir=3006 apparently despite all my modifications i still dont have enough room hahahahha Its a Garrett/AiResearch TV8102, with the 1.23 A/R turbine scroll. Here are some (approximate)specs on the turbo: Intake Major: 108mm Intake Minor: 78.5mm Exhaust Major: 111mm Exhaust Minor: 97mm Intake Exducer: 2.75" ID, 3.5" OD, Hose style Intake Inducer: 4.5" ID, 5" OD, Hose style Exhaust inlet: 2 5/16" x 3 1/2" Exhaust outlet: 5" V-band theres a small chance i might buy it, i borrowed it from my buddy ben heh he got it for his mach 1 hehe one of us will end up using it. heheheh
  5. thanks guys, my frame rails are 2x3 1/8th wall and the motor mounts have an extra piece of 1/8th on them thatll be fully welded, after much contemplating i decided this setup would be strong enough. however if i do notice any twisting ill probably convert this to a cradle setup. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100329 grumpy suggested a pan in this thread to me and i think im going to heed his advice
  6. haha how old are you ?, message me on aim if youd like to chat
  7. more space and a polypropelene bladder that conforms in impacts instead of tearing like metal
  8. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peej410/album?.dir=b912 as you can see... its LOW hehe which means i need to get a diff pan (thanks grumpy) the only thing i dont like so far is the transmission crossmember bracket that bolts to the urethane transmission mount. let me know what you experts (and non experts) think of this design..
  9. ive thought about doing the same thing, i think you want to go to a fuel cell if your doing this though
  10. wider tires always will do that, which is why i was skeptical, look for worn bushings. in my Z i eliminated the rack bushings completely by making custom clamps out of steel to hold the rack firmly in place. even with urethane pieces it still moved left to right an 1/8th inch which is just too much for me. but if youve got too much camber id suggest checking all your bushings first to make sure they are in good order, theeeeeen consider modifications
  11. heh that is a good idea! but it would hit my knees i think hahahaha
  12. have you had your car checked to see if the camber is off? i find it hard to believe that just adding wheels would change the car enough to make it track funny
  13. yay mike keep it going !!!! ever since i got back from my trip down south my ambitions have been dead. i guess working 8am - 2am on the race car for two weeks will do it though. good luck buddy
  14. sounds equally awesome and expensive heh
  15. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peej410/album?.dir=/9346 heh it was my little brothers idea, i had two crappy 3/8s sockets that i drilled out and got two matco ratchets at a swapmeet cheap
  16. i think you are correct in everything you said. however the diff would be coming out of a front wheel drive transmission...
  17. hey i was talking to my little brother who has a 85 z31 and he said he read somewhere that the vlsd diff from an infiniti i30 will fit into an r200 housing... is this true? i have a blown tranny that im swapping out of my maxima and i was wondering how true this was...
  18. hey what clutch is that? it looks like a race only unit !
  19. http://www.delcity.net/delcity/servlet/navi?action=buyofmonth you might want to grab one of these too and wire it as close to the battery as possible, it comes in handy whenever your doing electrical work and itll pop very fast and never leave you hanging with a blown fuse
  20. http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?form_cat_id=757&action=category those are the only custom sway bars i know of. they are awesome we used one on the porsche 914 race car my boss runs
  21. hrm i dont know if you noticed but my frame rails are no longer factory, they are 2x3 1/8th wall ...
  22. what do you think of the motor mount dillemma?
  23. only 100 hours ? ive got 100 hours in the cage and dash i made easy !!! http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peej410/detail?.dir=d6f2&.dnm=f119.jpg&.src=ph more like 125 hahaha and thats no where near as many tubes, id say 300 hours or more for full tube depending how much preassembly is done...
  24. wow now the hinged thingies make alot more sense heh, thanks grumpy, and mike! while ive got your attentions, what do you guys think of a 3 quart accusump for prelubing my bearings and such and an oberg type oil filter. not sure if your familiar with them but they are a sandwich with 60 micron screen in them, i got both the accusump and the oberg for 20 each at a swapmeet last year...
