  1. Isn't yours the later turbo though? The early ones have a straight output, not 90* IIRC.
  2. Well, that wasn't here, it was on a newish member's thread that got moderated... one thing lead to another...
  3. I don't think your photo hosting place supports hot linking. I suggest photobucket, it's free.
  4. I think it looks kinda cool on a zx. It looks sponged Wheels look pretty good too.
  5. It made me laugh when that guy started bashing braap b/c it said he was a "Banned Administrator". He thought it was serious
  6. That's alot of decent looking bodywork to make something look like crap, lol.
  7. They look good that way, matches your tint nicely. Now get a body kit
  8. Can we see some pictures of your car.... I want to see these rims.
  9. Stuff like rear disk brake adapters, dizzy block off plates... all I can think of right now.
  10. Those are going to look SOOOOOO much better than slash tips. Very nice!
  11. I started out trying to accomplish this mod with a spare linkage assembly I had laying around, but it didn't work out. The assembly was for a 240z, so was too long to fit on my 260z arm. Also, I think I moved the arm too much from the stock location, it just didn't seem to work right at that extreme of an angle. So, while I had it apart noticed that the pedal wasn't using full travel to begin with, so I dremeled the end off one arm to make it shorter and now have full travel. On top of that I cleaned and lubed up all the ball joints (which were VERY sticky). It's not perfect, there's still a little jerk at the onset of throttle, but it's MUCH better. It's actually drivable without focusing all my energy into the pedal. I think it'll be alot more enjoyable to drive now.
  12. That's pretty much what I thought, good deal. Thanks again for heading this up.
  13. His boost and bov sounds are pretty impressive, haha I lol'd at the VTEC flash
  14. It's a good start, but it looks too big and heavy... a nasty trend with concepts lately.
  15. First of all.... 6spd auto? Don't think so. Second, yes a plate would have to be made if that was the only problem. It's pretty likely that the input AND output shafts are different sizes and or spline counts.
  16. Just out of curiosity, why isn't he shipping it directly to SSAC? Do you need to inspect/catalog/fix it first?
  17. That's kinda what I thought you had said once before.... That's why I was confused
  18. First i've heard of that... is this a one off casting, or planning on selling per-order at some point?
  19. Thanks to a neighbor and his welder, the crossmember is now welded up, the tranny is mounted in the car, and I took it for a drive tonight. It's better than I could have dreamed. Shifting is so smooth, 5th is geared nice and low, the new throwout bearing is silk... Only problem is that my speedo doesn't work again. I'll figure that out later though, I have a pretty good idea what the problem is.
  20. It can be done, but I think it's more fun to leave it up to the whim of the admins
  21. Got my driveshaft back today, and tonight we mounted the tranny back in the car. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and didn't have the driveshaft shortened enough. It ended up 1/2" too long. Luckily I was able to dremel the collar off and now it clears and is all bolted up. Tomorrow I'll get the crossmember welded up and take it for a drive!
  22. It worked, thank god. Hopefully there are no ill-effects of removing that collar. So, for further reference: If you have the longer 750mm driveshaft, SHORTEN IT 50mm or 2 inches If you have the shorter 700mm driveshaft, IT WILL FIT
  23. Didn't work. I lack about 1/2". I think I'm just going to cut the collar off, hopefully that'll give me enough room and not cause any problems.
  24. I dunno, maybe not the quantity of the "popular" cars, but just look at how many new young members we get frequently. Interest is growing in our S30s. They'd turn a profit for sure, maybe slowly, but surely.
