Markets and Consumers, Intro to Information Systems, Composition II, Philosophy, and Survey of Calculus. Playing catchup this semester after my major change sophomore year. I've been in class since August 27th or so.

The faulty pressure plate is probably to blame. It shouldn't happen with a properly functioning setup. I'd say once you get your new PP just replace the cover pretend it didn't happen.

Pumping the gas pedal does nothing for EFI cars.... that method was used on carbureted cars to prime the carb (similar to choking SUs). If you read the EFI bible i'd give you a 80% chance of getting your car running. GL

I did that process on my OLD msa headers I got with my car. They were completely rusty, but that process converted it all to a flat black, and I've since painted over and had no problems with rust coming through.

If it's supposed to be a modern version of the Z, you should use a VQ IMO.

All on the trans itself. There are posts about it around here, or you could d/l a service manual. It's pretty easy though, drain plug on the bottom, fill plug on the side, fill till level with the fill plug. Done.

Got the new LED dash lights installed. They're not insanely brighter, but they are definitely brighter than stock, and with the green caps removed they are nice and pure white. Love em. I bought 7 BA9s-W LED's from SuperBrightLEDs.com, which have specs of 180* viewing angle and 11200mcd. They plug right into the stock base, but the green caps MUST be removed. The LEDs are much longer than the stock light bulbs. An interesting side effect is that once all incandescent bulbs were removed I was no longer able to dim the dash lights. They stay the same brightness through the rheostat range, so it's only on or off. If just one incandescent bulb is left in though, they'll dim like normal.

Lol they're not only criticized by older generations... I am that generation, and I criticize it. Hot rods were... well hot! Rice is... not, anyway you look at it.

Rice is a "you know it when you see it" concept. The term is a bit overused and stereotyped to ALL hondas these days. I know some people with some clean looking, and well performing hondas. One could argue that by definition rice would be universally considered as pointless visual mods, illogical performance mods (huge exhaust with no motor work, loud exhaust with no reason or motor to back it up), attitude, etc. Rice is definitely not limited to imports anymore, though that's where the phrase started (derogatory reference to asians).

Digging up and old thread... I bought 7 BA9s-W's from SuperBrightLeds.com to see how they'd fair. The specs say they have a 180* viewing angle and 11200mcd, and I intend to keep them behind the green tint cap thingies, so hopefully they'll work out alright. I'm just looking for something brighter than stock, and the less amp draw will be nice, so nothing fancy.

I think the fling ones are the coolest... and I didn't even do any that way the first time!
