  1. Sounds like a winner, definitely unique. While you're at it you might as well upgrade to the northstar throttle body too. Would be nice to find a newer block too, for the forged rods (02+?). Couldn't hurt. Might be fun to megasquirt a series III... hmm
  2. My main hard drive just died. Rockin the laptop till I get a replacement. I'll post mine later when the desktop is back up and running. Gotta love the anime, heh. I think we have had a thread like this... somewhere on here...
  3. Lookin good. Next thing I'd do would be: Turn signals to fill in your air dam. New Seats Real Paint New Pedal covers to get rid of the cut brake New Steering wheel to nix the cover Rest looks great!
  4. That's not an easy question to answer without more about what you're looking for from your NA build. This has been covered. do some searching. The E88 is good for a high compression build, the N42 is a nice head for a gentle street build. Generally... but search. And no, the N47 is an N42 with exhaust liners, among other things.
  5. Sounds like you need to search around and learn the basic nuances of these cars. There are a lot of maintenance items you can go over. As far as timing, you need to rent/buy a timing light. IIRC base timing is 8-10* BTDC, though I've heard people talking about tuning it way higher for performance gains. Someone else can kick in for advice on that.
  6. Heh, my roomate has spend about a week and a half of evenings working on his v6 heads. It indeed goes VERY slowly with a dremel. He still has the intake manifold and supercharger housing to do... heh.
  7. You can get the carbon fiber front bumpers from MSA
  8. I played with the linkages a little more, adjusting lengths and such. It's gotten a little bit better, closer and closer to perfect, but it's still got a bit of a jerk. I think some cutting and welding, or full cable drive swap is in order. I've started my Black Dragon power lock installation. So far I've gotten one actuator fully installed. I started to install the box and wiring, but realized I need to pull my doors off to drill holes for the wires to pass through. That means I need to source some sort of rubber boot to seal those holes. Decided to call it a day on that project. In the process of starting wiring, i decided to pull out the pointless a/c evaporator. After I pulled it out I noticed that two of my relays were unplugged. Now my horn works, yay! I was crossing my fingers that the other was the fuel pump, but no beans. Man that is a mess of wires! Last but not least, I have more head clearance now! For the past week my seat has been rocking back when I get in, and I noticed a bolt had come out of the front bracket. Well I get it apart, and the PO had put little wooden spacers in there for some reason. Taking those out, I've reclaimed a little headroom, and now I can see the tach and speedo through the smaller wheel, w00t!
  9. Paid $105 +$30 core at o'reilly, had it in two days.
  10. As soon as we get the timing chain stuff figured out, we'll be doing a home brew port job. We'll probably post a thread about it.
  11. You misspelled "adorable" Adorable child labor, yes.
  12. Dunno how much you could lower the engine (like seriously, I don't know haha), but it seems like the oil pan to front crossmember clearance is pretty close... Would be a good excuse to make solid mounts though if it works out. So you're going off of stock runner sizes, instead of increasing them for better flow? Just curious. Perhaps at the top section some of that oval flattened style tubing could be utilized. Another (likely bad) idea would be to cut semicircle notches out of the valve cover, and weld the tubing into them, uniting the valve cover and intake but giving more clearance. Probably would add heat soak though.
  13. Interesting design. Have you measured for hood clearance and such? What size runners are those? They seem a little small, but it might just be the perspective, or huge plenum. Might follow along if this ends up going well.
  14. It would, but if you're custom mounting the motor anyway, you could probably figure something out. Also, the Aussie holden superchargers work around this problem nicely.
  15. They're pretty fun motors to play with, I DD a Regal GS. I'd definitely choose the Series III over the Series II. I'm pretty sure the 8s cars have been turbo swapped. There are some pretty potent performers running very small pullies on built motors though.
  16. Probably b/c it's 3 years old. Don't think anyone has done the 3800 swap yet that i've seen, but there are several people rocking the M90 superchargers on the L28.
  17. Beautiful job man... that's awe inspiring.
  18. Nice! And no more torquing the crap out of the bracket bolt so it won't slip. Set it and forget it!
  19. Haha, omg that's horrible
  20. Isn't yours the later turbo though? The early ones have a straight output, not 90* IIRC.
  21. Well, that wasn't here, it was on a newish member's thread that got moderated... one thing lead to another...
