I've seen them on ebay... After breaking two bolts in one weekend I'm considering it too. It's over $100 though, so I'm not sure yet.

Just a guess here but... A tune up of the carbs would probably help your high idle. The sputtering once turned off is probably an improperly done alternator swap back feeding the ignition circuit. I don't have the link handy, but do a search for alternator upgrade and look for something about a diode IIRC.

Agreed, if you're ponying up for a turbo exhaust mani, you're probably not using the stock turbo, generally. A WG port should be included, with an optional block plate. No reason why not to IMHO.

Thanks for the update! For that kind of a price go ahead and start making a list. I don't doubt you already have 20+ people that'll want it for that, including me. I just hope that low price is due to the group buy, and not a lack of quality. Time will tell!

Maybe not... But it might be a new idea to the people that don't know the unabridged history of Datsun, aren't mechanics, or haven't been into Z cars / lived on the Z forums for 5 years. I certainly haven't seen a sticky talking about it at all, so I think bringing something like this back up is a fine idea until there is a sticky or reference mentioning such a thing. How would a new person know about this otherwise... certainly not by searching... if they didn't know it existed to search for to begin with.

I'm sure it took quite a bit of phototweaking. Splice together like a panorama, then crop out the bits of the cars to make them overlap like that. VERY cool effect.

I've never seen a T3/T4 flange, but I'd be game. It would be awesome for upgradeability. The wastegate flange isn't a big deal to have either, since you can always cap it off if you run internal, and allow the option later. Options are gooood.

I went simple and just got some Lucas 80w-90 gear oil for my "A" type 5 spd. Hopefully that's ok after reading all this, lol...

Yeah those bolts are reeeeal fun to get loose after 30 years. Just got finished doing that one this weekend.

I think I'll give them a call when i get around to ordering just to make sure. It seems like they'd call it more than just a color if it was an actual manufacturing difference, especially one of that significance. Thanks for the heads up savage!
