  1. That sounds like an S trim, my V trim didn't match the measurements exactly either. That should work very nicely on a street L28, nice find.
  2. The '77 dizzy can trigger MS, you have to lock it down and include the VR circuit on the MS board.
  3. That link I posted earlier is dead, try this. http://www.turbocharged.com/catalog/comp_wheels.html You need the inducer(little) diameter and exducer(bigger) diameter to identify the compressor wheel. It looks like you've narrowed it down to the S trim, H trim, V trim, and T5/6. All of which should be acceptable for use on an L28.
  4. If it has the correct size turbine housing then that could work, but it probably has a huge hotside. The T04b-25 that I have has a 1.32a/r housing with a p-trim wheel, WAY too big for an l28.
  5. I can't speak for any of the vendors here personally as I haven't bought from them, but I'm sure they would be a good place to start. There's a chance that's what the S on the end of the part number means, but I highly doubt it. Here is a link that has dimensions of many common compressor wheels.
  6. You should be able to replace the housing and wheel without much issue. Assuming it doesn't have some freak compressor size it should work fairly well on an L28 with a t3 hot side. Here are some of the more common t04b flow maps.
  7. Your best bet it to take the compressor off and measure the inducer and exducer.
  8. I wish NY allowed even just some of the cool stuff. No threaded barrels, collapsible stocks, SBRs, or suppressors. I was going to pick up an ar15 lower, then I hit a deer in my firebird.
  9. I picked up a solid 1-1.5 mph at the drag strip with a low 12 car by unplugging the alternator. It was a carb'd chevy with an msd 6al.
  10. Very nice! I'd be really interested to know what it runs/traps at the drag strip.
  11. Everything looks really nice. I'd also like to get a hold of the part file for the mount.
  12. I really like blue72's transmission dragon. A guy down the road from me has a chevy headed mailbox, it's got the oil pan, headers and some sort of makeshift intake all mocked up around the mailbox. No you don't, everyone you know will suddenly have something they need welded. It's a pain.
  13. I got that in my original formula. I messed up by doing it out in terms of volume, I have to do the math by weight. I would do it, but I just pulled the fuel pump from my Z and have a headache from the smell of rotten gasoline that has sat in the tank/lines for about 10 years. Back slightly more on topic, I'm absolutely AMAZED that this abomination of a DSM made 380whp!
  14. Good call, I forgot about that. I still feel that you won't get 20lbs of co2 out of a gallon of gas, however, I don't feel like doing the math right now. Maybe later.
  15. According to some quick searches on google, one gallon of gas weighs about 6.5 lbs and one gallon of air weighs about .01 lbs. Assuming 14.7 air parts air to one part fuel, I get 6.5+(.01*14.7)=6.647lbs for ALL combustion byproducts. Nowhere near the 20lbs just for CO2 that the link said. If my math is incorrect please let me know. I just skimmed through it and this caught my eye, so I investigated. I didn't really read it.
  16. I'd start be looking at the FSM, then connecting the wires to some universal relays. I've got an EFI relay from a '77 that I'd let go for a couple bucks if it'd help.
  17. Would you be willing to post the sensor mount you designed?
  18. That's a fairly good trap for bandimere. I've run a 12.3 at 109, but that was with a solid axle camaro with a stalled automatic and sticky DRs. It's ALL in the first 60'.
  19. My dad has a set of Kuhmo Ecsta SPT on his n/a z31, 255/40(?)r17 on 17x9's. They are very forgiving on the breaking point, I took 6th of 33 in the novice class today at an autocross with them, it was my 2nd event ever. I'll probably get a set when I get to that point on my Z.
  20. You might want to recalculate the req fuel too, it looks a little high. It shouldn't matter a whole lot if the VE map is scaled by the correct amount though.
  21. My spending is next to zip, so no. It might actually go up a bit. I've got *<1k in an almost running turbo Z, including the price of the car. I'm going to try to get the motor in and start tuning by next weekend.
  22. You use the optical circuit only if you use an EDIS module(or other hall/optical sensor), you have the VR sensor going directly to the MS so the VR circuit is what you should use. I'd be liberal with the heatsink compound.
  23. You have it set to 8cyl and 8 injectors, it could probably use some more idle timing as well. Try this, I just changed the cylinders and injectors to 6 and the PWM settings to the ones in big phils thread. zcar1.zip
  24. How do you plan on keeping the plate that the vacuum advance was connected to from moving? I was just going to leave the vac pot attached so that it would keep it still. I plan on switching to EDIS soon, so this would be temporary.
