  1. not hard at all now. I have been able to find all the parts I need.
  2. I would go with the rb because I'm a turbo guy. Just shim those mckenney mounts and your good to go.
  3. I just picked up brand new miller syncrowave 200 ac/dc tig welder. I'll be able to weld aluminum soon. I still need to get filler rods and tungstens which I just ordered. a
  4. Sounds good to me. Just let me know
  5. Looking good Man. I can't wait to see it in the car.
  6. q45 is a short nose r200 with a lsd and a 3.54 gear ratio. Your going to need a driveshaft anyways so you could use it but you will also need the adapters from www.modern-motorsports.com. to attach the cv shafts to your stub axles. I remember that we used a r200 out of a 300zx turbo and the output shafts out of a 280z's r200 and then you can use the stock 280z haftshafts. It's really how much you want to spend. You can make this project into a money pit fast. What do you plan do do with the car? Are you going to race it? or just have fun
  7. the 300zx rearend comes with a lsd you have to get this out of a 87 88 300zx turbo (I think) it comes with the 3.7 gear gatio and then you need to get the adapters from www.modern-motorsports.com. to bolt th cv shafts to your stub axles. but that can get $$$$$$$$$$. You can get a r200 with a lsd for alot less. The r200 from a 280z is easier and cheaper. The cv hafts will hold up to more power than the 280z haftshafts but I have NEVER broken one on mine. Years ago I had a turbo toms set up on my z and was putting down alot of power and never had a problem with the stock haftshafts. I have a r200 with a nissan motorsports lsd and a 3.9 gear ratio and I don't plan on changing it in the future. both the 300zx and the 280z diff is a long nose r200
  8. The r200 is not hard at all. Just get a r200 diff, haftshafts, and mustache bar and bushings. Or you could do the 300zx diff with the cv axles but that isn't hard. Remember it's just nuts and bolts. the wiring isn't hard at all. There is a sticky on this rb forum with step by step instructions. How much do they want to do the wiring conversion?
  9. Its really your call. I did my suspension years ago but now I want to get coil overs. I went with toyota front calipar upgrade and that was not much $$. I would do what would take the longest 1st. But thats me What were you thinking of doing?
  10. that's great. 300.00 I wish I could get those deals.
  11. I went with NIStune and I love it. I was going to go full standalone but the price was really high. I spent 495.00 for the nistune stuff shipped to my door and I'm more than happy with it.
  12. 300.00 that's awesome. Is there any rust? My Z has been a on going project for the 16 years. I'll never be done with it. I just keep adding stuff to mine.
  13. 2095.00 shipped is a good deal. I would do a compression test as soon as you get it to see if you have a good motor.
  14. Install the sump first and then install the engine. That would be the easiest way.
  15. You need some motor mounts, trans mount Intercooler Intercooler piping other than that looks like you got it. If you need a oil pan made let me know. I have been building them.
  16. the zstore.com and http://www.blackdragonauto.com/ I have done business with both. AAAAAAAAA+++++++
  17. It depends on the swap you do. The rb25 trans is stronger than the rb20 trans. I have read that the rb25 trans is stronger than the rb26 but I don't know. You would have to put down alot of power to tear up a rb25 trans. So I wouldn't worry about it until you tear it up. I would not use a r180 diff I would swap it out for a r200 diff. You can get a r200 from any 75-83 280z. I have a rb20 trans in mine and I have 3.9 gear ratio diff and I like it. I don't drive alot of highway anyways. I hope that answers your questions
  18. not all rb20's are rear wheel drive. I have seen a awd rb20 you can find more info here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/home.html
  19. 400.00 is pretty steep considering that you can get a custom one for 475.00-575.00
  20. You can do that. I have but it doesn't look as good as a full custom pan. Plus no baffles unless you add them. Plus you will warp the hell out of the pan flange if you don't watch the heat when your welding it all up.
  21. The rb25 pan is the front sump pan. You can get them new off ebay for 115.00 but You need a rear sump pan for the s30 swap
  22. I charge 475.00 for the rwd block and 575.00 for the awd block for my custom pan. I thought that was a good price. Thats the custom pan, pickup and sealant to seal it all up. I wish I could charge less but it takes alot time to make these. I also considering making motor/trans mounts. So I could offer the complete swap kit to make life alot easier and less $$$$
  23. Thanks Streeteg:mrgreen:
