  1. Just thought I would add an old photo of the last time my two friends and I had our ZX's together
  2. @bluezx by Z32 VLSD you do mean the R200 short diff thats is similar to the S13 (240sx) and R32 - R34 correct?
  3. Two things that I can think of checking first is the battery (try a battery out of a friends car that works) and second the starter, Is the starter in good condition? Has the car started for you before? Has it had issue starting before? Is the ground/ positive lead to the starter in good condition? Are the battery terminals clean? I have had to replace a starter once because the alternator was not working, which lead to the car being started a lot with very little current and over use of the starter to the point it could not even be jumped. So if you get it running pull off your negitive lead and check you alternator is working Hope some of that helped Leon.
  4. could install the one you want into the glove box or under the dash.
  5. ^^^harsh call I think, after hating it for a while I really like my 2+2 and wouldn't swap it for a shorty at all (unless its a free + rust free shorty and then Im there )
  6. want fender flares? why not try this... http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?34457-Operation-240k
  7. well I only just started and I have a few fronts to choose from so see how it goes for now I'm really just trying to see if the 2 look ok together then I'll start modifying it
  8. here is a "in progress" picture of what me and a mate were thinking of doing to an S13 for some fun tell me what you think
  9. In short no. But technically speaking yes it "can" be replaced with carbon fiber. Although I would advise against it. If its a carbon fiber look your going for perhaps it would be better if you did either a metal patch repair or replacment of the cowl then do a single layer bond or vynle wrap it. I am also try to decied between repair and replace for a friend (hot tip only do free labor for people you REALLY like) and it is reasonably complex peice to remove and requires the glass to be out.
  10. ^^^ yes here is the build, http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102994-z-fever-anatomy-of-a-custom-intake-manifold-vq35/
  11. I'd say NSW is more likely, that is a pretty sweet looking car to bad you would never get it registered in QLD
  12. Looks sweet is there a reason you went for stainless over alloy? I can't wait to see the dyno results and see it finished
  13. There is a guy in Aus that has a RB26DETT in an series 1 S130 (had an R180 and U joints) and I still see the car around the place, although I personally would be hesitant to use all of the power without some skinny tires on the back...
  14. To my knowlege the R30 came with an L20ET L24E and FJ20DET (thats just what I have seen in the ones I have seen scrapped) the R31 had the RB30E and RB20ET
  15. hey bud, I know you guys don't get a whole lot of R30 skyline gear but a fiend of mine has used R30 LCA's and caster rods on his C110 and said other than spacing out the caster rod he said it all fits. Next time around his house playing cars I'll check it out :> I am also considering using R30 gear on my car next year
  16. its a yes and no sort of thing. I cannot remember of the top of my head at bed time all the combos but the box fits so will a CA box although both boxes are not at the wrong angle looking front to back the L leans like \ and the RB and CA like / I have also heard of people getting a RB20 and an L series and swapping the bell housing but I did not look into that much so I can't help much...
  17. done and i don't own and infinity or a iphone (im not silly galaxy S2 FTW)
  18. ^^ sweet Mr D I'lL check it out but chances are I'll fab it myself at work or get the machine boys to turn it up for me I'm definitely going to need to work out what will best combination of positioning and appearance for my application. Someone mentioned hiding 4/6 injectors in the air filter box pointing at the SU's mouth, that may be another option.
  19. ok I think Tony has sold me on EFI. I think I'll still attempt to hide the injectors in some SU's (don't want to waste those hand polished manifolds...) however I may go another route (ITB or standard EFI) but I think this will consume me to much if I go down the SU path. THANKS Tony and every one who posted, if there is any more input feel free to share but I'm pretty set on EFI now
  20. SU indicating needles? Do you mean just dyno the car on a rolling road and maybe an O^2 sensor with marks on the SU needles and watch them or is there a special needle that you are talking about?
  21. well I hope I find this fellow because each time I think about it I think about cheating and hiding some injectors in the false SU's, actually I keep hopping the next Brit contractor we get is an SU nut :> (I love learning from the old contractors they teach you so many tricks)
