Even though the noise is coming from the transmission, it's always good to make sure everything it nice and tight with your brakes. Check the grease spindle nut. It's right under the the gold cap that pops off on your front wheels. If it's too tight or loose, you will have shaking. Torque it to 20 ft lbs and back off 60 degrees. You'll also want to make sure all your bushings are in reasonable condition. Lets face it, most of our suspensions are 30 years old!!

Hey all, I finally decided to just go the project route so I'm looking at 1970-1975 Z's. I'm looking to spend around 1200 at the moment. When funds are increased my range will open up but for now, 1200 is it. -Looking for clean shells or running cars. Either works. Please no modified V8 or sr20 setup Z's. I'll be swapping in a L28t so I need the motor mounts to be unmolested. -Rust MUST BE MINIMAL! I am by no means an expert at body work so the less, the better. Solid floors, rockers, frame rails etc. The common surface rust isn't so much an issue. -Must be semi-close to Orange, Ca 92868. I am willing to pay for shipping but I don't want to be driving more than 350 miles to come out and look. I am willing to go out to Phoenix and Vegas if they are really really clean. Thanks guys!

I had an '88 turbo too! Great great cars! The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the struts for the stupid TEMS are flippin' expensive! Never had a problem with it except for minor things. Have fun with it!

I'm actually experiencing the same exact problem. You might want to check your front grease spindles. Sometimes they aren't torqued correctly and this will cause the vibrations. At least this is what I believe my case to be, tinkering around in the next few days will tell. Gl with your Z.

x64v, how do those Mercedes drive? They LOOK pretty slow and very "tank-like" to me lol. I used to have a J30 and that thing was pretty sluggish
