  1. So are you using glue between the two layers? I have the MSA kit too but will be using Fat Mat or something similar and am curious what other people are using.
  2. Looking good man!! Get some more vids up. We all need to be more like Big Phil haha
  3. I love the boxer sound myself....but I also love the LSX....confused!!
  4. If it's a wish, don't let anything stand in your way. Make it happen some day
  5. Haha it's funny you mentioned Back to the Future because I think the same thing. McFly's truck was wicked! My Z is my only car BUT! I used to have a Mk3 Supra =] Toyota's and Datsuns haha
  6. I was actually thinking of your Z the other day and have shown it to all my car buddies as inspiration for my '75 project. Flat black is an amazing choice and looks downright mean
  7. It was uncalled for in the first place. Again, unless someone is asking for honest feedback, don't bag on their car. Simple.
  8. He didn't offer any type of advice though. "I don't like it....but if you don't fix it the next owner will." Wtf? Everyone has their own opinions on what looks good. Perhaps he digs the yellow. I think it's badass imo. Basically what I'm trying to say is that there is a lot of things that I don't like on Z's....doesn't mean I'm going to flame each one. I don't remember him asking for opinions either. Just my 2 cents.
  9. Haha I've had the same thing happen to me in my Z. While I can relate to your sentiment about Honda's and the typical stereotype behind them, I do believe that Hybridz is a site where all car makes are respected. Just fyi
  10. Honestly, I don't know. I just bought the car the other day and it's in terrible need of a tuneup. It has an ancient looking cat on there, needs new plugs wires, and probably the fuel filters changed. Once I get that done, I can let you know It wouldn't be anything low end wise as the 6-1 is helpful in the upper RPMS. For street I'd go with the 3-2-1.
  11. Great ideas from the other guys on here. Nice to see someone else from Temecula
  12. Here's my '75. Stock except 6-1 headers and my '78. Stock
  13. Looks good! I like the black hood on yellow. Already lookin' mean I just bought another Z a couple days ago and will be doing the same thing. L28et swap but minus the coilovers Good luck and keep us updated!
  14. Hey all. I just picked up this Z tonight. I got a smokin' deal on her and am quite pleased with my purchase. I can't drive it till next week when it's registered though Anyways, it's a '75 so I'm good for not having to deal with emissions and whatnot. It's stock for the most part but it does have a MSA body kit which I don't really want. If anyone local wants to make an offer and pick it up, shoot me a pm. Here's the goods: Interior: New upholstered seats, new premium carpet kit in the box, new steering wheel, new half dash cap, MSA armrest w/cupholder, new window felt and regulators and a couple of 5 1/2's in the back. Engine: Rebuilt ZX engine, newer hoses, plugs etc. 6-1 ceramic headers Suspension: Tokico springs, not sure on the struts, new tie rod bushings. I need to check the other bushings but it feels great! Nice and tight Exterior: It needs attention. There is almost no rust in the entire car. Floor pans, rockers, frame rails all straight. It's a great car. Needs a tuneup since it's sputters under heavy throttle but the old cat isn't helping matters either. I"ll be updating as I go.
  15. If you end up changing your mind on the year issue, let me know. I have a '78. Runs great, looks good exterior and interior wise, basically stock, and is almost entirely 98%, rust free.
  16. If you end up changing your mind on the year issue, let me know. I have a '78. Runs great, basically stock, and is almost entirely 98%, rust free.
  17. You can always have a extra resonator put in, say the middle of the car, and that will quiet it down a bit from what I hear. I have twice pipes so I don't know what this "quiet" word means all too well
  18. But then you'd have to worry about getting attacked by bears and wild moose! Haha
  19. 1978 280z with 205/70/14 and twice pipes-27 on the freeway keeping it at 70 with the stock 5 speed. Around town....15-20. Depends on how I drive it
  20. Haha, that really sucks. i probably would have done the same thing though.
  21. I think that the stenciling is pretty awesome. Where can I learn to do that??
