  1. James, out of curiousity... what does the porsche-LT1 conversion cost? I went to renegadehybrids.com and didn't see a price anywhere.
  2. That's pretty well put Kevin. One thing you didn't mention is that debt CANNOT be paid off. Let's say they make $100. They loan $10 to 10 people at x interest, the trick here is that you can only pay them back in their currency! Someone is gonna lose out... and it ain't gonna be the bankers. It used to be legal to repay debts with market goods. For those who haven't been paying attention to the economy, it's time to wake up and smell the horse apples. It's past time for the next crash, will you be prepared?
  3. I'm aware of one other. So the real problem was the bellhousing and not the transmission itself huh?
  4. As a matter of fact, I do. It often hurts, but I do it anyway.
  5. Very nice! How much did you have to modify the firewall?
  6. That's the giant sucking sound...
  7. I can't believe you technical wizards missed the most obvious solution. Draining the blinker fluid was a good start but the best thing to do is drop from 60Lbs of air in the tires to only 40Lbs. each! Can't believe none of y'all thought of that...
  8. You're sending the essay to another country?! Other countries could be brought up to our standard if the people were given the freedom to keep what they earned. Without that freedom it ain't gonna happen. It doesn't matter whether it's the government/mafia etc. taking it, the result is the same.
  9. I believe Heavy Z hit the nail on the head. Free trade would work great if it was a level playing field but it's not! Unfortunately the U.S. government cannot enforce freedom. Not here or anywhere else. The people are the keepers of freedom.
  10. Yeah, I've got one you can have. I was hoping to make it to Ennis tonight but it ain't looking good! Will be up there real soon though.
  11. I agree with Forrest here. While I think I understand both sides I still would like to hear how anyone has the right to force someone to sell their stuff (intellectual and physical) for x and not for what they feel like. RPMS, I agree but think it's not quite an apt comparison. Pretty much everybody is aware that vehicles are getting more complicated and harder to work on, if you bought a vehicle and got it home and then found out that it would only run on special fuel that only the dealer had and they hadn't told you but let you operate on the assumption that it ran on gas/diesel that would be unfair. I do not own a newer vehicle ('92 F350 diesel is the newest) and that's because I'm voting with my feet! I'm aware that I do not have the capability to work on new stuff and I think it's all overpriced so I don't buy it. Look at what happened with 9/11 and car prices, when enough people quit buying the dealers made some better deals until they started again. It can happen again... (hopefully not with something like 9/11 of course) Customlock, please explain how the principal of private property no longer applies now that we're not in the dark ages. It's not like they are controlling oxygen... there's plenty of ways to get by without a new car at least for a time. If people do that for a while they'll change things. Respectfully, Gabriel
  12. I know Auxilary has already seen this but for the rest of you...
  13. Terry, was aware of what you had done but hadn't seen that particular pic. Jumbo, some good shots. Thanks to both of you. Really I'm not planning on any particular setup right now. I think I have my current JTR SBC setup sold and will need something eventually but I'm slowly doing body work right now.
  14. First off, I'll say this is strictly curiousity on my part. There seems to be two problems with Alsils' mount: the steering rod (if you still have stock Z steering) as the mount was designed around a ford steering rack and the (stock) hood clearance especially with the gt-40 intake. If I'm wrong on either of these points please correct me. Curious to know who has made their own mounts and what your basic setup is.
  15. The GN in his name refers to Grand National. Buick. I've seen several for sale on this site. Go for it!
  16. The Answers, according to whom you ask: 1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb? 2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code. 3. Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp! 4. Rottweiler: Make me. 5. Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark. 6. Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please, please! 7. German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation. 8. Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture. 9. Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb? 10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark. 11. Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb. 12. Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there..... 13. Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares? 14. Corgi: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle... 15. Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
  17. No. It's a good price for just about any welder that's all there though.
  18. I just picked up a buffer on sale for $20, with that and some wax it did a great job. Mine didn't need wetsanding but you might be surprised how much good you can do without it.
  19. Certainly appreciate reading that. Would be curious to know the mileage the LT1/T56 crowd gets.
  20. When I took the test I was thinking "what the heck kinda questions are these?" Now I think it's actually a clever marketing survey.
  21. I got 36,268 English pounds! http://www.wewantyoursoul.com/index.php
  22. Why would that offend us? Well, let's hear the stats!
  23. I really appreciate your sense of humor and I'm sure you know I'm kidding. I also saw it a long time ago but I didn't take its' advice either.
  24. This ones for you man. http://www.1112.net/lastpage.html
