  1. I see people try getting rid of those all the time for CHEAP!!!!! I think if someone offered me 14x6.5" for free....I still wouldn't take them. Personally, too small for me.

  3. I've been looking into that the past couple months as well and no one seems to mention differences at all on any forum. Unfortunate thing is that most 280zx turbo's I see that are being sold are automatics also.
  4. I can vouch for that comment. I was just over at his place last night picking up goodies Definitely the loudest and coolest car I've ever seen up close and personal.
  5. Try G-Dimensions. They built my brother's s13 sr20det for him.
  6. I've used the SPA dual digital gauges before, they rock! The only con is you have to get the angle right or you won't be able to see the digital digits. Same as sun glare, you won't be able to see them unless they're in a pod or in a dash such as the Z's.
  7. Or an alternative: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101446&highlight=replacement+key
  8. This thread is worthless without videos!!! Great job!
  9. I picked up this car back in January or February and it's been sitting since. I've been gathering parts for it and taking off parts, but that's all I've gotten to. Just wanted to share what I got myself into :chair: Minor surface area around the fenders, suspension parts, dog legs, and battery tray. Will be buying a sand blaster soon and sand blasting those spots to kill off the rust. The only rust that has gone through is the rear hatch near the latch which I took a picture of. Ignore all the web, I locked up Spiderman in my car for a few weeks. Just waiting for my radiator and fuel tank, they're at a radiator shop in Mentone being cleaned. Radiator had minor rust inside and fuel tank actually looks great, I figured I'd take it off and have it cleaned anyway just for good measure.
  10. I agree about the post thing as well. As for the deleting old fs posts after it's sold, shouldn't it stay for future reference if someone wanted to dig the past of a seller or a car for instance? Usually when someone builds a car and sells it, some information is lost because the new owners don't usually know all that has been done to the vehicle.
  11. What I did with mine recently was, loosen the clamp around the filler hose with the straps off. I left some of the fuel lines connected. I took off the rear passenger wheel and kicked and stomped the crap out of the fuel tank until it loosened off the filler neck. I'm a small guy so I had to improvise. Fyi, I had two safety jack stands, two emergency jacks, and a 2 ton jack holding the rear up when I was doing that. I didn't want the car falling on my legs.
  12. Red top sr20det is an s13 engine, but can be wired into an s14. Try freshalloy or zilvia for those engines or call around locally; those engine importing shops should have what you're looking for.
  13. From my knowledge, all usdm s13s had the same calipers.
  14. This has helped me too for future reference if I ever go efi. Thanks a lot guys!
  15. Wow, sweet swap. Even better when it's in the tone tone coupe! After owning 6 s13s, I still haven't found myself a nice clean two tone coupe to buy. Post up some vids one of these days. Also, how much work is involved making the stock gauge cluster work or did you custom the gauge cluster with aftermarket units?

I just bought a set from Ben last week. Has not arrived yet so I can't give much info, otherwise excited.
  17. I've been thinking about my stock antenna issue lately too. Good thing you asked, I will keep an eye on this thread.
  18. You should just give me the seller's number and I'll buy it.
  19. Anyone has a useable stock 240z radiator they want to get rid of? Around southern california offers only please. PM me.
  20. Check fluids and compression check. You probably need a new headgasket now.
  21. Those guys don't really know how hot turbos get it seems...I'm sure they know by now : D

  23. I would probably try your local machine shop. Maybe you can try asking Orange County Choppers where they get all their metals cleaned up at. I've seen a few shows where they had them sent out locally to have metal parts and stuff chromed out or cleaned.
