  1. That old Lincoln welder is a great machine if it is one of the 4 cylinder models. It is the same machine that is the standard for the constuction industry today. I welded a lot of carbon and stainless steel pipe with one. It is not a high freq unit for aluminum but will weld almost anything else. Welding takes practice and pactience. Some people seem to get it right away others have to work at it. Get a welding hood that is confortable to use. I put one of the auto lenses in one of my hoods and it is ok for around the house but would not like it when welding pipe. Welding open but welds the lense would be flashing on and off all of the time. I also saw this problem in my MIG welder when I got behind the torche. Get some metal and practice and have fun and be safe.
  2. I have all of what you are looking for, the brackets are aluminum, I got them from one of the members that was machining them, used but were not used much ZX calipers, and new ZX rotors. I was going to do the conversion on my Z but the Z is sold. I will let the all of it go for $250 + shipping. I want someone to take all of it and will not sell parts of it. I would not be able to ship them for about 2 weeks.
  3. I have a 6 to 1 with 2.5" out size. The bottom tube has a flat section. $50 plus shipping from 85326. Send me your email and I will send a picture,

    280zx turbo

To tell the truth I really do not know. I was going to use the engine for a carb blow trough and was not looking at all of the FI stuff. I can send pics of what I have. Sold my Z so am selling all of the extras.

    280zx turbo

I do not have all that you want. I do have a turbo motor it has the intake, exhaust, turbo, wiring harness and computer. It is missing the MAF, sensors and fuel rail. The only thing that I know is wrong is one of the trans mount bolts has the first few threads stripped. Come and get it for $400 including the engine stand. It has a P90A head. I can send pics if you are interested.
  6. I have a set of 45mm sk racing $800 plus shipping. Comes with a 4x4" air box. Will send pictures if you are interested.
  7. As said above Supertrapp is the way to go. They are tune able so by adding or removing disks you can control the db and back pressure. I bought one off of Ebay a while back.
  8. Fiberglass rope or matt. Soak it in resin and lay into where you need the added strength.
  9. Look at my post in http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/59401-280z-t-top-conversion/page__p__544293__hl__convertible__fromsearch__1#entry544293 This is for a convertible but will work on a coupe.
  10. It is in Buckeye, first walmart on the south side of I-10 comming in from Calif, 25 miles west of phoenix.
  11. I will not break up what I have. I have a turbo engine, F54 block, P90A head, wiring harness, computer, intake and exhaust mainifold and trubo. Engine has both the crank sensor and turbo distributor. It is missing the fuel rail and MAF. All for $400. I bought the engine for a blow though project that never happened. Can send pictures if you want to see. Come pick it up and the engine stand goes with it.
  12. Do a search there are several posts on them. I was planning on using an M62 on my car off of an SLK230. From my calcs it would put out about 10 psi on the 280 engine. I sold my car so it is now sitting on the shelf.

I have one for $400, P90A Head and F54 Block. It appears to be in great shape. I bought for a superchager project that I quit due to a bad back. I have sold the Z so no longer needed. It is missing the MAF and fuel rail. I have the turbo and mainifold, intake manifold, wiring harness and computer. It is sitting on an engine stand in the garage ready to go. Located west of Phoenix AZ.
  14. I found the valve but never bought it. Now that my Z is sold I am going to be selling all of my supercharger stuff in the next few weeks.
  15. It almost sounds like the timing is 180 out. Was the car running when it was parked? If the car has been sitting for a long time check the inside of the distributor cap for moisture. If all else fails and the car was running when parked put a tow strap on it and try starting it by poping the clutch in 2 or 3rd gear. It also could be bad gas. Drain the tank and flush out all of the fuel in the lines and carbs. My Z sat for almost a year and the went bad.
  16. 40mm is 1.57" so get some 1-1/2" Copper pipe, flare the ends and build the mounting plates. 1-1/2" conduit would also work and would be cheaper. Use a tool like this to make the flares http://cgi.ebay.com/ridgid-41345-E-63-1-1-2-Hammer-Type-Flaring-Tool-/290555555451?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a675ee7b
  17. I have a M62 Eaton supercharger off of a 230SLK that I will let go for $100 plus shipping. It has a electric clutch on the pulley so supercharger on demand.
  18. Well the convertible is gone to it's new owner. Now the decission on what to get next. I really do not want another project to work on so will most likely look for more of a road car. Sort of like the Z32 but never have driven one. The 350z is not my type of car so might have to look at other sports car makes. But first will put a bunch of parts left over from my 260 for sale in about a month.
  19. Blacking out the lights is a DOT no no and can result in a ticket in all 50 states. DOT requires reflectors on both ends of the car and Datsun used the trun signal lense as the reflector. If you park on the side of the road and are hit at night it could be your fault. If you look at all of the new cars you will see a small reflector the front and rear of the cars.
  20. Get ride wings and make them shift the car with mechanical linkage. When is see a vitage race on TV with Jim Clark and see them sliding through the corners, that was the great days of F1. It would be a better race even if the speeds were slower if most of the technology was removed from the cars.
  21. This will work on your set up. It is a 4x4 box section. I replaced the small covers on the float bowls with a tapped plate to connect the copper tube to. I was planning on using the pressure loss trought the intercoller for the differential pressure. It is really just a box section with plate welded on both ends and angle tacked on the top and bottom. There is a guy who is selling the new SK racing carbs that was selling HSK boxes.
  22. Do a search there is a lot of information on the subject. First what carb or carbs are you planning on running. From my research the pressure in the float bowl needs to be higher than the throat of the carb. HSK makes a plenum with a baffel for side draft triple carbs.
  23. I have a turbo motor,f54 block P90A Head. I have the wire harness, turbo, exhaust manifold, CAS, distributor, and intake manifold. The computer is some where around the garage. I was going to use it on my supercharger project but have lost interest.
  24. There was an article in one of the car mags on the 911 Porsche on its spoiler. It was had faster lap times around the track without the spoiler. This was due to higher straight away speeds. Spoilers look neat on a car, I am not into the wing thing, but will reduce straight away speed and gas mileage
  25. Heck I fixed my gas tank leak on my 260 without jacking it up at all. I dropped the down in the enclosed car trailer. My leak was on the small vent hose off of top of the tank. If you tank is leaking on the right rear , gas cap side, I would bet that that is what is leaking.
