    GT-4

I have the "CHINESE" version of GT-4 prologue which is kind of a preview/taste test. It has about 50 or so cars that I had to unlock. This Prius was like the last challenge car to unlock and let me tell you it was by far the hardest on to unlock. Not only did you have to win the 30 second race but you had to do it WITH OUT USING TOO MUCH GAS/ELECTRIC POWER!!!!!!! took me about 4-5 races to figure this out as everything is in CHINEESE!!! and it was very difficult, pass the cars in each turn and try to coast so the power / energy bar doesn't drop off to much... ARG! Why oh why is this part of the best racing game ever....I mean, i understand it takes all kinds, but who in the hell races a hybrid (non z) and tries to do it with the least amount of fuel???? BAH
  3. use sheet metal, way cheaper and gives you some experience at fab work. I used a skill saw w/ an abrasive blade and a sawzall to make the cuts needed. grinder to make adjustments. There are lot's of posts with pics on here including mine. Got to pete paraska's site and check out his design. That is what I did and it is stout. The only thing i did different than some of the others was that I cut out the floor and ran the frame rails first, then I tied the new floors to it, instead of having one big floor panel. Not a big deal, but you have optoins... If you have the tools i mentioned or can get ahold of them and a welder, then you can do your floors for about $50 or so...When I built mine i got a 24' length of 2"x3" square tube for $45 and a 4'X8' sheet of 18 ga sheet for like 35 or so. That is enough for 2 sets of frame rails and enough sheet to do all kinds of extra stuff. Steel is a bit more that it was 6-8 months ago, but still cheaper than buying a 'kit'
  4. There are TWO S30's FS here in Tulsa, which isn't too far away...here is the add... For Sale>> Two ‘73 240Zs , One manual, one auto. Some work needed on both. New parts include timing chain, poly bushings and shocks. Also have an extra steering rack and engine head. Both cars and parts. Need to sell NOW. $800 OBO < Contact >> Sam 918/671-3142 See that need to sell now??? Bet you can work something out with him. If you want I might be able to swing by and take a look, but you should talk to him first and see if you are interested. PM me if this leads somewhere... PS, this add is in the local ZZCA chapter f/ Okla. You can see the rest of the news letter here... http://www.okzcc.org/znavigator/ZNAV_Oct04.pdf
  5. Pretty much what I've done, but I put it all in one big box and set it on the TOP shelf in the garage...
  6. When i replaced my floors and added sub-frame conns, i pulled the wheels off and placed the Jack Stands under the front and rear x members so I had room to work. I didn't have anything else in the car, interior etc, but had no problems the the frame sagging. I have some pics posted somewhere, do a search on my posts and you will see...

Dunno if this has bee posted or not but had to share, Loads of beautiful pics, you are robbing yourself if you don't look at each and every one!!!!!! 5 HUGE pages... http://delobbo.com/gran_turismo_4_4.html
  8. Even though my Explorer Sport is rated to pull 3500 lbs, it's too much for the small truck. I've pulled a 21' Vhull to the lake and back a couple of times. Sure it pulls it just fine but braking is vauge, and as wheelman suggested wind and such are going to move you around ALOT. Minimum you need is a 1/2 ton truck, V6 is fine so it shoulnd be all that expensive. To be SAFE, either get an aluminum boat if your just going fishing, or get a Truck.
  9. That's what makes this site SO great! None of us is limited to our imagination because if you can think of it, someone on this board is probably doing it!!!!!!TO A Z Now if we were only in the same town, state, country, or even the same hemisphere....
  10. You either need a drill press with at table that moves in precice incriments or a Mill. other than that? You will ruin your hubs if you try to 'free hand' this type of work.
  11. Sorta used to have one in HS. My home remote worked through my back pack and we would change the cannells durring breakfast to cartoons and watch all the 'cool' kids stand up on tables and chairs so they could change it back to MTV Loads of fun!!!
  12. I was just trying to keep up with everyone whining cause they don't have AC/HEAT in their garages or lack of. I do have a garage with a Z in it and shouldn't that be enough? I was trying to say that I CAN"T get out there to work on the Z, hence no need for heat or AC. And yeah, it gets COLD here....
  13. pretty cool but what is up with him in the shopping cart?? In what scenario is the main 'fighting' charictar going to be pushed by the bad guys in a shopping cart only to get launched out so he can roll into his fighting stance? Just wondering
  14. Great idea! You could be really bold and make a Z pattern them them...
  15. I don't really like it too much. For me it's a bit too modern for the Z but that's just me.
  16. I don't even have a reason to have heat out side the house!
  17. A guy on the local forum called this "Surgical", which very accuratly reflects this guys skilz... http://www.noflatbatteries.com/videos/ChrisEvans.wmv
  18. Get rid of ALL the stock wires and make your own or use the painless kit...It a lot less..well pain...
  19. It has been discussed, search for BUICK 215 V8 or some version of that. Basically for the weight and parts options of this motor, it wasn't worth it unless you just wanted to be different...
  20. I have been thinking about how to set my car appart from all the rest and I think I may have come up with it! Of course I won't keep it a secret because in reality it may never happen but alas here goes... When I saw this thread on the early 70's camaro taillights... http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=283192#283192 ...it king of solidified an image I had of making a Z that looked and felt like most of us, or maybe just me, thought it could have been build originally. Give is some muscle era flare but remain suble and true to the stye of the time. Alot of the parts Ive got don't really fit into this catagory, the Phantom series guages, MOMO steetring wheel, and wheels, Auto power roll bar....but that is fairly easily remidied. I am picturing a Z with some cool OLDS or Chevy rally wheels, (Namely these w/ centers painted to match the car and a datsun logo in the center. You can get these in all kinds of size and offsets now...) A paint scheme that is more traditional but has some muscle like a black bumble be stripe out back over the stock color of choice. Stock bumper may be ok but a black simple lower airdam would be a must, maybe two big ROUND fox lights in the grill area like a 69 mach one. These are just some thoughts I have, what do you all think? Do you have any additions or suggestions? Again, I kind of want people to think, hmm, i don't remember THAT version of the Z... You know, like it was actually offered, not too over the top, and definatly 70's style to go with the lines of the z. Chrome is ok but not too much, I think the wheels may be enough. Also need suggestions for emblems...
  21. DAMN I LOVE THIS SITE! THanks John, will kee that in mind if i get far along enough in my project to build a bar!
  22. agreed. Capital punishment for infomation abusers, might curb that some
