  1. I have one in pretty good, but not concourse condition. Will send pics if you aren't looking for a NOS in box one.
  2. If I can find a stroker (think I'm getting close), my E88 will be available in a few weeks, I will keep you in mind.
  3. Glad I didn't miss out sign me up for 1 black M hoodie. 1 asphalt M short-sleeve T 89705 Thanks
  4. Thanks 240z72. Yeah, and for the record, I have my T5 (and the driveshaft to make it work), and my subie Torsen R180 ready to go, and am happy with my current tripple Mikuni 44s. I wouldn't say no though to a distributor, lightened flywheel and/or 1 row balancer tossed into any deal. I want to wrap this up ASAP as the paint guy is getting tired of my car waiting for the driveline before he puts it in primer
  5. Happy Birthday to the best .org around!
  6. Hey Z fans, Anybody giving up on the L and trading up to an RB or a V8? I am looking to buy a 3.0 or 3.1 stroker engine. Yes I know that the performance isn't that much better than a built L28, but after driving a 3.1 (the sale fell through), I don't want to settle for less. At any rate, I want to get a streetable engine that can be run on 91 octane without too rough an idle. The local stroker was being offered for just $900, but I won't be that optimistic and could pay a bit more. Still, I can't afford something like the second-hand Rebello that was being offered last week (nor am I looking for 13:1 compression or making real power only between 5000-8000). All I want is a decently built stroker for a daily driver, I hope that somebody out there has one let me know what you've got, and what you would be willing to let it go for!
  7. How much did it cost to get the lips polished? I was too impatient to get mine to wait the months it would take to get it done at the factory. I also wish there were more tires for a 16" wheel, I have 16x9 F and 16x9.5 R wats and could only find decent tires (BFG SportComp) in 225/50 and 245/50 They look awesome in the rear, but a little too stretched up front. What are you doing for tires?
  8. Hahaha, why anyone would spend $18k to do this to a Z and produce 230ish RWHP boggles the mind especially when with that kind of money Dave Rebello could build you a 3.2 that would trounce it (or you could take your pick of V8 conversions). Oh well, to each their own, after all, on HybridZ there is no "best way"
  9. Thank you to Todd for setting me up with a nice repeat customer discount
  10. Finally found a good price on a Subaru R180, so now I need the stub axles to go with it. I can't quite afford to pay more for the two pieces of metal than I did for the whole differential shipped. So, whoever is reading this, what kind of deal can you make me? New or used, doesn't matter if the price is decent. I would even be willing to take a "good customer discount" on new ones straight from Todd himself at Wolf Creek for the $200 work of jets I bought this summer I just need the parts and $500 is too much!!
  11. I am hijacking this thread because I want the same thing. I would even pay $400 new if you are readin this Todd and I did already buy $200 worth of miki I jets from you this summer!
  12. Thank you everyone for all the advice I found some good sources. Got a lock on 9.5s for the rear. Now the BIG QUESTION do I go with 8.5 or 9 up front? I'll be running 225/50 16 F and 245:50 16 R (cause other sizes are really not available). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to wrap this up TODAY
  13. Wow, 14x13 o_o what do the fenders look like?
  14. Hey Takayuki, that looks great, they may even have what I need in stock. How much did shipping cost you?
  15. Come on Tony D, I KNOW you must have a few dozen Wats in your vast hoard Sell me some haha. OK, but I will contact Kiyo, and if I only have to put half down now, I will have more than enough left over to buy some Rotas and then just earn the rest in the meantime. Brian, you wouldn't happen to be selling the 16x9s when your 16x10 come in would you? I'd make you a good deal on them then I could run two wats, and two rotas while waiting and pray that nobody notices haha.
  16. I have searched the internet and this forum and found no clues as to where I MIGHT find some Black (polished or unpolished lip would work) 16x9 and 16x9.5 Watanabe RS wheels. References on this forum to a "Takumi Project" have links to a long dead website. I contacted the guy selling Wats on eBay only to be told it will take 6 Months to get the 9.5s I am getting a full trim-off repaint and ZG flare install next month. I have my coilovers and adjustable struts ready. I DON'T want to spend five months with an otherwise great looking car and the american racing 14x7s that it came on Does ANYONE know where I could source a set of Watanabes in the above mentioned sizes in <2 months for <$3000 new (or even <$2000 great condition used)? Do I just have to give up, settle for Rota RKRs and enjoy a better 17" tire selection? Any tips are appreciated! Thanks!
  17. I read getting rid of the flat spot on quick acceleration as an improvement and there really isn't a drawback to running the return line through there, is there? If it can't hurt, and might help, then do it, right?
  18. Sorry to resurrect a thread from the dead, but Wow!! so THAT is what those are! I didn't know, so I plugged them up... so let me get this straight. ALL I need to do is run my fuel line past the last banjo bolt, then loop it down, go in one hole, out the other repeat twice more and get back to the fuel return line? is it really so simple? And it will really improve my 44 PHH performance without any drawbacks? This seems too good to be true!! (so please tell me if it is )
  19. Come on people, you know you want to pay half price for 90% as good

  23. Some of us are getting in a group buy for driveshafts, and I believe they can make them to spec in steel or aluminum, the price isn't bad at all for a new, quality part. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/118249-1pc-steel-or-aluminum-drivelines-w-rep-ujoints/
  24. I had my heart set on Watanabes, but have to admit that they are pricey, and that these would fool almost anyone from 10 feet away. What kind of group buy price could you get?
  25. The ethanol in modern gas can cause a layer of water to separate out, or so I'm told. I use a fuel stabilized whenever I know I will let my Z sit for more than a month. If you want to play it really safe, you can drain the tank, or if there isn't much in there you can try diluting it with some fresh high-octane. As for Mikunis, I'm sorting through my own tuning issues at the moment. Finally broke down and bought an autometer wideband air fuel and the bung to install it. Going in tomorrow. I talked to Todd at Wolfcreek Racing who probably knows Mikunis better than anyone this side of Japan, he sent me a series of jets to tune with till I hit the sweet spot. At the end of the week I can let you have what I don't end up needing for a discount. Let me know if you are interested and I'll message you by the end of the week and let you know what I have available.
