  1. Mayo, those are beautiful welds, nice stack of dimes
  2. I would like to see video of an 85 mph wheel spin with only 305 lbs/tq.
  3. reminded me of the Ace & Gary ( the unambiguousely gay duo) car.
  4. Some of the" House of kolors" golds are amazing. A buddy has his 280 painted the 350z sunset gold and its gorgeous.
  5. If theres bad untreatable rust, cut it out, media blast or wire wheel any surface rust and por-15 the area prior to installing the new rails. While your at it, por the inside of the new rails too. After everythings welded uo, you could drill some access holes thru the floor pan and spray some undercoating into the rails and then snap in some rubber plugs to cap the holes.
  6. I would give Charlie a call and ask him.
  7. nice find. I'd put new premix in ( drain any old stuff first ) check for a spark, if no spark, replace the plug and recheck. If it ran well when they stopped using it,fresh gas and plug should do it.
  8. The BD rails are sized to fit over the existing rails and in alot of cases, doing so just temporarilly hides the problem. If your rails are just beat up from jacking ect... capping them is fine.
  9. AWD,FWD or RWD is purely a preference for you. None has any advantage over the other because whatever you choose, you will be competing against like cars.Thats one of the ways they divide the classes in rallycross. My personal preference would be a RWD Z done up like the baja Z's of the seventies.
  10. Pete, I dont have any plans yet but you know how that goes.
  11. With the Z coming off the road for an RB swap ( finally ) I was compelled to pick up this little jewel to keep life interesting. It was aleased car with 26k and is very clean in and out. I know its a Honda but all that goes away once you drive it. I'll miss the 320 ft/lbs torque my Z puts down but hopefully the swap will be done by next spring. Anyway, here she is.
  12. WOW...beautiful looking welds. Your fortunate to work with a company that does that caliber of work. WOW....
  13. Talked to Pete last night and the fuel problem is gone. Looks like theres a tank in my cars future too. It was killing me to be stuck at work while Pete and John were tearin up New Hampshire Motorsports ( formally NHIS ) yesterday.
  14. my condolences....have a good one.
  15. I'll post pics once its installed.
  16. Nostalgic...I could have gold plated it too for that real "professional look". This was made to go on a race car not a customers million dollar mantle. And if you knew about or had used the tool that you linked, you'd know that they leave a fogged area and require some hand brushing to match the surrounding surfaces. I did use a Walter Surfox machine, same tool , different brand. I use it more to passivate the weld than to remove color although thats a nice bonus. Pinholes?? Thats a good one. Mayo, its around 1 liter
  17. I'm working too....on my tan that is. Just hangin at the lake in Maine fishing swimming, 4 wheeling and pulling the kids on ski's. Only thing missing is my Z.
  18. thanks for burstin me bubble. I thought the S2k got around 27 mpg's...guess I gotta do some more research.
  19. Beautiful bike (except the noted plate bracket ) have fun, be careful. The whole gas mileage thing is bigger than just whatever we as individuals save.We need to lower our overall consumption as a nation. At least thats how I'm trying to justify getting an S2000 for a DD.
  20. Even tho I sumped the fuel cell, we're still getting some starvation on long sweepers. So next we ( ZYA,Gnosez and I ) are trying a surge tank mounted on the firewall over the battery tray with a second fuel pump. I just fabbed this up and Pete will install it this weekend and test it next week at NHIS. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
  21. I bought an SR20det from Racer98 ( Karim ) on this site. I know its not an RB but he can get you whatever you want.Do not expect bargain basement prices but do expect exactly what he tells you your gonna get. His proccess takes a little longer because he orders the engines from Japan and they are tested prior to shipping to him for his personal inspection before he ships to you. Communication was great, he kept me up to date on del and sent photos of the actual motor I recieved. I would buy from him again.
