Well, I am signing off for a week and a half to visit the mountains of CA. Our itinererary will be Reno,Sequoia,Yosemite, and back up to Lake Tahoe over a 12 day period. I KNOW I am going to miss driving my Z especially on some of those wild roads up in the mountains. I will be driving...drum roll please....a Hyundai Accent rental beater while the Z sleeps back on the East Coast. I should be able to give a detailed review of the Accent when I return. Everyone hold their breath right? LOL. We will have a laptop and digital camera, so if I get connected, I'll pop in and say hi and drop a few photos. Later!! VACATION TIME!!!

Might be a bit late but. I run factory AC and a fairly large intercooler, and an engine oil cooler up front. From the front INTERCOOLER>OIL COOLER>AC CONDENSER>RADIATOR>16" E-FAN It actually runs cool when I'm not on it hard. Never overheated yet.

I believe that with the right tools and skills in place, it can be done. I don't see why not? And changing motors is not the ONLY solution to making more power.

About a month ago my L28ET motor cracked it's crank damper on the keyway. It was due to the bolt loosening up. I had my old L28 laying there so I borrowed the L28 crank damper and installed it. The L28 damper is about 3/4" smaller in diameter and lighter than the L28ET one. Should I be shopping for a new L28ET damper or will the L28 sufficiently dampen vibration for an L28ET street motor (5700 rpm redline). I know Nissan made the L28ET damper larger for a reason but I know they also designed pretty large safety factors into most of their stuff. Anyone with this experience? BTW, I noticed no difference in the way the motor ran after swapping the pulleys.

why not just weld/tap bosses on the intake runners?

Stock FPR is really a LRFPR. It lowers the fuel pressure during vacuum to maintain a constant pressure differential at all engine loads. I guess it was just easier for the original programmers to calculate injector open time using a constant delta fuel pressure for all non boost conditions.
