  2. http://www.sdsefi.com/techegt.htm
  3. Nice! I too am surprised even the WRC is not aired here in the states. I have sources to view it but dang! So many people are missing out! Have you watched the new 2008 WRX STi debut in the WRC Greece event?!
  4. wow! thats looks amazing man! Excellent work so far!
  5. Looks like the TRD Supra Hybrid includes : Now thats cool! I want to see pics of that!
  6. Well.. to be honest the welds look cold.. and dirty Did you wire brush the area and clean it off with acetone or soap and water before welding?! Also when you weld do you watch the puddle and keep a nice steady flow? Im just worried about penetration.. It doesnt matter how ugly a weld is as long as its penetrated and STRONG!
  7. I would send an email to Pete (Pallnet) and talk to him if you have a chance! He can give you wonderful advice and information quickly and efficiently! Im running 11mm 440cc Supra injectors with Megasquirt and a Holset turbo.. running 18psi and I am not maxing out my duty cycle. They say 440cc injectors should be good for up to 400hp... but others may say less. 550cc injectors are plenty for what your looking for. Especially if you have methanol injection... I believe big_phil is using 720cc injectors I think.. you'll never need that much... but always safe to know you could use it .. someday. Not in a L28 though unless your Monzter or Jeff or TimZ
  8. I finally got a Z32 adapter and am awaiting a Z32 n/a transmission from Hoke. Im gettn excited! Phil ive had a clutch and transmission failure last month. I 've been having alllloottt of problems lately with the Z. Makes me want to buy a 2jZ and re-wire the entire car and be done with it
  9. I hate when people say they HAVE one or had one.. and completly butcher the year and model. Like I once owned a 1965 Datsun 280z! it was a blast! I love the stock V8! ugh.. some people
  10. LoL to be honest photography never really interested me that much. The environment just made sense to me i guess.
  11. JSM.. look closely at the pictures.. notice in the first picture the "tan" light is along the wall in the backround?! Looks like the pictures were takin around sunset or with a low sun environment. The white light is the flash, the tan or yellow light is the sun shining on the part
  12. I've sold numerous turbo's on ebay.. some finished at $80 some finished at $322.. it really depends on the time you post it, who see's the auction and how bad they want it at the time. Thats crazy
  13. That blue Z is very pretty.. but PLEASE but on some lowering springs or coil overs?! the gap is insane!
  14. Intercooler... it always works.. its cheaper.. there is no pump to go bad. Meth costs money every time you fill up. why bother?
  15. Strip everything out of the car, make the car as light as you can, swap in a Honda Civic motor and be careful on the gas lol.
  16. I've learned that increasing fuel decreases the overall temperature of the engine and the EGT decreases. I've played around alot in old Cessna's with a mixture knob and played around with the mixture at various altitudes and tried to tune for the ideal EGT. When the EGT is high, I add more fuel and the EGT and engine head temp begin to drop. The only way the EGT's can increase by en richening the mixture would involve retarding the timing so the excess fuel ignites in the exhaust which would increase the EGT.
  17. I did not swap the pedal box, but I did swap the pedal and the pedal only. I don't know if it's because I have a 280z or what, but getting the bolt from the far drivers fender, into the pedal box, through the pedal and then tighten the bolt down took me hours and hours.
  18. When I bought my MSA Urethane air dam a few years back.. the air dam was FOLDED and ROLLED into a tiny ass box! I laid out the urethane air dam in the sun for a few hours and it went right back to shape! It was amazing!
  19. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-exhaust-manifold-L24-Z-car-air-inj_W0QQitemZ230197342850QQcmdZViewItem Can anyone explain what this tube is? and why do the individual tubes go into the cylinder head so far?
  20. LoL.. pictures?! louvers could be for any car.. Mustang, a 280ZX.. or whatever classic cars have louvers. Take a look at my car if you drive by, or my pictures to see if the louvers look the same on my 280z.
  21. ohhh yeh! we could do a plastic plenum.. like the LS series intake manifolds! ohhhhh baby
  22. Looks like Tony D covered what I was talking about on post #249. I read his after I posted mine. sorry!
  23. JonGu is correct.. STS uses an external pump which pulls oil (adapter to thread onto the oil filter) and pumps it to the turbo and dumps the return oil into the valve cover. A hole has to be drilled into the valve cover to dump the oil I was looking into making my own "rear mount turbo" a few years ago and found that the oil pump STS offers is around ~$350 *Note that there is a pressure switch (protective cover not installed) whose function is to trigger a piezo electric buzzer in the event that oil pressure increases and is not being returned to the engine.*
