  1. I've got about 4 miles on that same tire. Can't give much of a review, but I wish I had paid that.
  2. Here are a couple: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=87758 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122669
  3. I remember a thread specifically about TC rod failure with poly bushings on the s130. I'll see if I can dig it up.
  4. If you're just looking to pull the shocks and springs, look here: http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/suspension/frontstruts/index.html and here: http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/suspension/rearstruts/index.html
  5. cygnusx1 - Do you have any photos of how you mounted those seats? I've got a set of 80s-ish Recaros that I pulled out of a 240Z. The mounting bracket on the driver's seat won't clear the hump in the floor/trans tunnel in my 75 280Z.
  6. Didn't make it into the garage last night. A family member wound up in the hospital. Hopefully I'll be able to get out there this week.
  7. Your insurance company may be a very valuable resource here. I had good results with having State Farm pay my claim and then they handled the subrogation. A couple of months later I got a check back for my deductible. It would have been a nightmare for me to handle myself. The other driver was in his employer's delivery truck and didn't speak enough English to tell me who to call for insurance information. State Farm took the police report and handled everything.
  8. A bandsaw immediately came to mind, but I don't have one. I think a hacksaw will be a good substitute. Is it necessary to re-form the taper once it's cut? Certainly looks nice, but is there any disadvantage to just cutting it down?
  9. I'm thinking a cutoff wheel could build too much heat and make a mess. John - those are great results. Hacksaw it is.
  10. I know this is a dumb question, but I'm drawing a blank here. I need to trim my Energy Suspension bump stops by about 3/4". Obviously a razor would do the trick, but Me + Razor + Poly = Something Ugly. Any suggestions for getting clean results?
  11. I wound up bending the 20" hard line down slightly to ease the transition into the wheel well. It's not an ideal solution, but it works for now. For the parking brake cables, remove the hangers and swap them so that the cables cross. Hook them up to the calipers after everything else is assembled. Mine looked like they may rub on the half shafts but so far it hasn't been a problem. I'll try to take some pictures tonight.
  12. Thanks guys. The information I got on HybridZ was invaluable. The few miles I've put on the new parts tell me that the combo is working well.
  13. No, that was over way faster
  14. I got my Z back on the ground this afternoon. It's been too long. So far the ride is great and I just have a couple of issues to work out. Sorry for the bad pic, I was in a hurry and just snapped a couple. 15. Thanks Bill - I'll pass the word along. Our old domain name was taken by some Chinese squatter. http://www.cowtownzclub.com/ is up an running. http://www.cowtownz.org/ should also be redirecting there.
  16. I was bummed to hear that the 'vert got banged up but it sounds like it will make a good recovery. The 280z28 was a topic of some conversation at CowtownZ last night. You might see a PM from a guy who had some specific questions about your swap.
  17. That's Earl in my avatar. He's a character. We rescued him a few years ago and have been doing a lot with Weimaraner Rescue since then. Proabaly had 5 or 6 foster-weims in the house.
  18. Welcome to Texas! You missed one doc: S'gweet
  19. Nope - won't fit 240 hubs either. I did a test fit for Wilwoods on a car with 240 hubs. Same problem.
  20. Great pull! You've got good reason to be excited.
  21. There are no better shots of the Z, but there are some of a Miata that looks suspiciously like it's no longer miata powered.
  22. link doesn't work. edit - now it does.
  23. Dave said that he didn't have the photos around when he saw Mr K so he never got the chance to ask. It would have been really nice to get the opportunity to put some of this nonsense to bed.
  24. Bill, I'll see Dave this evening. I'll be sure to ask. dsommer, Check. Mike is on his way. Have fun
