  1. Well, for now it is just going to be a straight pipe but state law requires a muffler, I just want to find the right one so it sounds nice. Pictures of the exhaust installed will come when I figure out exactly how I am going to run it. I have a few issues to overcome first. Best thing about what I have there for exhaust. I paid $170.95, shipped, I paid for it Monday night, around 8:30. It was at my door by the time I came home from work today. Yes, GM style, same as the Painless Wiring weather pack connectors. Retrofitting my front headlights, marker lights, and turn signals with them. Sound be a fantastic improvement from the factory connectors. I need to order the guy out of stock because he will no longer be able to supply them after the end of December but I would love to have them for doing a stand alone engine harness. Other than that, I should have more goodies come Saturday pending availability to sign for the quite large box. (I will leave you wondering) EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention I already have the turn signal harnesses fitted with the weather packs. Not only are they functional but they look so much nicer. Bang for buck in these things for sure.
  2. Name: Kinser Hair Location: Indiana 46113 Contact: Kinser.Hair@gmail.com or PM Price: Depends on condition, not want to break bank, I know what I can get them from MSA for. Hey guys, I had purchased some tail light seals for my 240z then the deal fell through. I am looking for a set of seals now. I would really prefer something new in the package, NOS, remake, doesn't matter to much but I would accept used in good condition. I would like pictures before I buy. If you have some and would like to sell them contact me with pictures and a price SHIPPED to 46113. Thanks, Kinser
  3. ???? Once again, I work at Discount Tire, I have NEVER heard of having one. Worked at one in NM and 2 different locations in Indiana, had 3 different manager, non of them have said anything about such a thing.
  4. Looks like quite a well built trailer. I don't know if I believe that he has $2,500 in it unless the axles were new when he got them. I think $1,000 would be a fantastic deal depending on condition it is in. Wood looks great, paint looks good, has a tire rack. What more do you need?
  5. It looks like either just a extreme roll and pull or molded on in the rears and just rolled on the fronts. I am interested in the brakes on the car. Seems to be an older willwood setup I have never seen before.
  6. I fail. You are talking about a hard line aren't you? I thought you were talking about a soft fuel lines. Just look away from my stupidity and move on.
  7. Glad to see you made progress. You should get a hose cutter, they sell them at Lowes/Home Depot for like 10-20 dollars. Really handy with fuel line, make it super simple.
  8. I figured out the brake brackets. I ended up using 280zx calipers and a guy (Harry) at Car Quest and I went through the books and found a rotor that would fit. The backfire is because the exhaust is dumping out right at the transmission as well as the fact that the plugs were fouled out. When I dyno'd the 280z at Motiva with the same engine completely stock, injectors were going south, with the stock fuel pump, it was like a point to rich on the chart. I now have a Walbro fuel pump, I need to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and MS. I have not touched the timing, it shouldn't be off. I bought a few more parts, I have changed the plugs since this video. I ordered stuff to actually make my exhaust, hopefully it is ready to actually street by the 9th of December so I can go to the IZCC meet.
  9. Why? You can order aluminized mandrel bent kits off ebay for 171 shipped. It is what I am about to do, I am just glad I have some pictures of work so I can see what I may end up having.
  10. Haha, no, it is actually a Pro Skater I just never really followed him. Looks very similar to a guy I knew when I lived in Japan. Eh, would have been cool.
  11. I think I might know the dude with the long hair in the beginning skating. Any information on his name?
  12. The S30 window size is the same all the way through, only difference on a series one hatch is the vents. You should not have an issue.
  13. Just went on a shopping spree that put my bank account down. It will for the most part get the car in a more finished state. I got seat belts, I got a brand new airdam, I got turn signals, I got weather packs to fix my headlights and rewire on the new signals and fix the side marker lights. I pretty much need to get my next pay check. Take the fuel cell back out, make sure there isn't any gas that I can blow myself up with. Seal off the fuel cell area so I don't have exhaust fumes, as well as get some exhaust stuff done and registure it. Then I will be able to actually drive the dang thing.
  14. Strip it down now when you don't have the money. I know how it is to budget build, at least I have a job though. Rust is going to be there, its going to be annoying too. Looks like a fun project.
  15. Incorrect, you are not allowed to advert. things for sale without being a donating member. Nobody said you could not respond to wanted ads, also nobody said some one could not contact you about an item you have that they may be interested in purchascing.
  16. Bahaha, that Burban looks like it has been having fun.... Car looks really nice man, floors look good and everything. I would try to seal up open holes (Carb and breathers) on the engine and pressure wash the engine bay, looks super dirty.
  17. Cut out the factory seat mounts and use some channel with holes or the box steel with the holes in it, bolt it directly to the floor. I have a similar style seat but a different brand, I am mounting it without sliders but not directly on the floor. If you plan a cage, directly on the floor will allow better head clearance.
  18. Funny, same here, I was going to ask why you would pay for a VCR and valve caps? Nothing today, YET! Pulling an all nighter to get this baby road worthy more quickly. Going to be in Nashville over the next few days after today so I am required to accomplish something.
  19. The swap is expensive and extremely challenging compared to an L28et with MS.
  20. srs buznass the interwebz be. You guys need to lighten up. I swear, what was your issues? You can get new seals from just a universal box at autozone/advance/car quest. You don't need to special order anything.
  21. Good luck with a V8 z and better than 13-15mpg. My L28 didn't get but 17 or so on a good day I would get 20mpg. If you are talking about where there are 4 nuts on one side then four nuts and bolts on the other side. That is a pita. Get a chisel, maybe even an air one, and hammer it into the cracks there after the bolts are removed. If it leaves burs just file them down. I recommend cleaning up the centers with a wire wheel to get corrosion off then a good coating of grease to keep them from rusting to bad. The spindle pin will be the fun part. Good luck.
