Hi, I am Kinser Hair, I am 18 years old as of a week today. I am currently a senior in High School participating in some Ivy Tech Community College courses. I plan to go to IUPUI to major in Mechanical Engineering, as well as Minor in Motor Sports Engineering. I currently work at Discount Tire Co. in Plainfield, Indiana. I got into z's when I was 15 because I was all about drifting, I wanted a cheap RWD car, was looking for a Nissan. My mom came across a 76 280z for 500 bucks. I found this site, ditched the drifting, fell in love. I am Kinser Hair and I am a Z-oholic.

Can I haz car? I am not quite sure what you are talking about. I would go about doing the suspension swap well documented. I would like that at least. Some guys on here wouldn't I don't think though. Do the swap, let us know how it goes, things that make it challenging.

A car is worth different to everybody. Your value of the car is what it is worth to you. Somebody may see it the same as you, others may put higher value (highly unlikely) and others will put lower values. You have to remember, the I guess, emotional 'worth' of your work put in the car isn't there for somebody else. Subtract 50% of the money you have in the car. That is a likely selling price.

No idea, the specific brand? I used generic brake cleaner to clean all of my parts.

ZX/Maxima swap: The rear wheel drive Maxima (79-83?) had a rear disk brake bracket which could be used on the rear of a first gen Z and would allow the 82-83 280ZX rear rotor and caliper to bolt directly on. This was a very popular setup, but the caliper brackets have become increasingly hard to find. I just wanted to make an update. This Information is in accurate. With 82-83 280zx caliper and rotors and 79-83 Maxima brackets there is a quarter inch of the pad that does not contact the rotor. I tried 240sx calipers to fix the issue but they will not work. On another note. With these brackets, 85 300zx rotors with z32 tt calipers will fit. You will run into wheel clearance issues as the calipers stick out to far and will contact the spokes of the wheels. I could see using a different type of wheel or wheels spacers fixing this issue.

It sounds like your on the gas hard when you are turning. My stock 240sx with an Open diff will get sideways in the rain. It takes nothing to break the tires loose. Lets try not getting into boost while turning?

I thought about it. The end.... Yesterday I got the drive shaft in transmission filled up, and the LSD filled up.

Looks pretty spiffy. I would think it would help. More of a ram air effect as well as colder air.

That is an MSD blaster 2 coil. What is wrong with a distributor? Around here they run open wheel dirt cars that make 800+whp with a magneto. I don't see what is wrong with a dizzy?

I see so many legal issues here. They just said they don't care if somebody uses their logo? That anybody can copyright? This is very disapointing. I would be contacting corperate offices. Hell, go to the media, online news or something. They would love a reason to bash anything. Give them one. Call back, request the records of the conversations so you have voice data. Give the emails and the recordings to the news. When I requested the records of phone conversations and sent emails to people at Advance Auto I ended up getting my money fully refunded. They were refusing to refund my money for a mistake they had made. I wasn't having it. I think you should show that you care. More people need to take action when big corperations such as Sears try to screw us little guys. Stick it to the man for all practical purposes.

You have been here for a while, yes, you may have driven all kinds of cars. I know how to properly pass. I never said you tailgate somebody. I especially never said you should pull into oncoming traffic to see if you are clear. This is EXACTLY what I was saying you would want to avoid doing. You have no concrete facts, you keep stating your opinion I "cannot drive". I am honestly sick and tired of your posts that are not even contributing. They are just bashing another member. You never try to put insight on the subject. Instead you force your ideas on people, at the same time just bashing the others ideas. If anybody has a problem with the fact that I called Tony an *******, you can clearly see above that he was calling me an ass, so I see nothing wrong with it. I really liked this forum when I got here. It has been very helpful. I think that the way information is being gathered, has failed. Everybody is so up tight. Just because you have a large post count does not make you always correct. Tony is a fantastic example of the fact that he is afraid of being wrong. He can't simply accept the fact that I have brought up a valid point. I think I am done with this thread now. I have nothing else to say, I look forward to seeing this in the shed or hard deleted in about 30 or less minutes.
