  1. Fair enough. Edited that part out. I honestly wasn't trying to be a ****** bag so you are right.
  2. Stop now and take a moment to review your posts. I would advise searching before posting what you just posted. These topics have been covered time and time again. Here at HybridZ.org information can be found by keyword searching through the website. There are specific technical based forums to find information on specific swaps and components though the vehicle. The LSx swaps, AC setups, and power steering conversions are all covered previously in these boards and you will find an abundance of useful, as well as not so useful information. Good luck and welcome to Hybridz.org, ModernS30 =)
  3. There is a local guy that has some like small chromoly tubing bent and tig welded and cleaned up, then clear coated. Its like a loop together as a rear bumper on his 78. He is in the IZCC. I love the way the bumper looks, its just awesome.
  4. Ousted, yours in the BRE style air dam. MSA sells them.
  5. Uhm, thanks for reading a post just a few above mine. Tennesseejed, "You are 19 and going to college. Your disposable income over the next few years is likely going to be ZERO." No need to draw attention to myself. Many people have seen my build thread. I could honestly give half a flying Fig Newton about attention.
  6. Just so everybody knows. I am 18, in high school, shortly going to be in college. I work a part time job, I have built my S30 from the ground up. I have a 3.6 in school, not very much money, and I still managed. It takes time but with the passion and will power it will work out. I challenge the needing lots of money to build a car. It's call ingenuity. Don't just pay somebody for something when they say that is what they want. Can't find it at the price you want to pay? Make it for less. At least that works for me.
  7. I was actually looking at that with the Chevy tip because of some things talked about in the 400HP N/A thread. I had some nut job idea on what they were for, but nothing near what it really is for!
  8. Yea. That Christmas Tree thing is a good way to get plowed. Light watching is dangerous, that is why they are making lights so you can't see them from the side now. I have seen semi's barrel through because they can't stop, or slide through in the rain/snow. Great idea IMHO for sure.
  9. I spy a made tyte yo S13 at 1:04 in the video.. =P Silvia front clip and all.
  10. Hope the plan isn't a stock fender z with stock suspension. Your going to have mucho rub issues. Even flares with stock suspension without a wide body I see a 10" wide wheel having rubbing issues. Maybe at a 0 offset with coil overs it would clear the springs and flairs.
  11. They are stock 280zx wheels. I think you could pay somebody lots of money to reproduce them larger but I am unaware of anybody who currently does so.
  12. Was that not french they were speaking?
  13. That sounds awesome. Will they be offered as a package deal with the HID kits maybe? I have yet to purchase an HID kit as I have been going more for performance modifications first.
  14. Yea, a little scary to me too. Can always modify the pan, or make a skid plate.
  15. Almost looks like a ZX lip or something. I do like it, very different from the common MSA stuff.
  16. The 260z's were sorta bastard cars is why people say not to have them. Nothing wrong with them. Just another nissan.
  17. Amen to that. Had did you handle the ice in Bloomington? People were totally tripping here.
  18. This comment here just made me smile. I used to like the MSA kits until I realized how ricetastically ugly they were. Get something like a type 1 air dam and either just save the rear end or get a 240z rear bumper.
  19. Just buy the MSI PCBv3.0 from DIYAT. They will build the board for you, get the relay board and the harness and read the DIY write up and study the Mega Manual. It will control your spark, there is no reason to run the factory ignition on a stand alone computer system. You clearly have some reading to do before you go into this. I am just now getting into the adventure myself and with help from this site, DIYAT and a few people (well mainly one person) I have gotten to the point where I should be able to hook the system up with ease. You can get a base map from many people online including on here and it will be plug in and drive. Although you probably still want to tune for your driving style and specific elevation area.
  20. Its a special order unit, but before taxes the one I would get from autozone would cost me 37 dollars Reman.
  21. I stuck with the L6 because it was what I had for now. I can get a few good deals on some parts and its a good way for me to get the feel of driving a higher powered S30. I don't know where it will go but I may decide upon an LSx/T56 swap in the future. The power, price, weight, and availability are all there. They make for one great platform. Where as the L28 in itself has a poor flowing head. It can make easy power in the under 400 range, but, and this goes really with most engines, venturing past 400 can get quite expensive.
