  1. Tony, This is directed at you, and you only. You are a real ******* when it comes to posting. I mean, where do you get off yelling at people? You have been here for a while, yes, you may have driven all kinds of cars. I know how to properly pass. I never said you tailgate somebody. I especially never said you should pull into oncoming traffic to see if you are clear. This is EXACTLY what I was saying you would want to avoid doing. You have no concrete facts, you keep stating your opinion I "cannot drive". I am honestly sick and tired of your posts that are not even contributing. They are just bashing another member. You never try to put insight on the subject. Instead you force your ideas on people, at the same time just bashing the others ideas. If anybody has a problem with the fact that I called Tony an *******, you can clearly see above that he was calling me an ass, so I see nothing wrong with it. I really liked this forum when I got here. It has been very helpful. I think that the way information is being gathered, has failed. Everybody is so up tight. Just because you have a large post count does not make you always correct. Tony is a fantastic example of the fact that he is afraid of being wrong. He can't simply accept the fact that I have brought up a valid point. I think I am done with this thread now. I have nothing else to say, I look forward to seeing this in the shed or hard deleted in about 30 or less minutes.
  2. Thank you Mongo for having an understanding of my reasoning here. I honestly think they are arguing for the sack of arguing. They are right and we are wrong, in their heads at least. I don't understand why some people have such a hard time accepting that somebody brought up good reasoning. While they have given nothing to firmly support their claim. As for only passing on a 2 lane road. We can try turning across traffic when there is another car turning across your direction of traffic in front of you, probably a bit difficult. Also, mail carriers do not pass people. Typically they are not driving very fast in their vehicles. I think with the direction this thread has gone it needs to be moved to a more suitable tech forum. To go along with a move I think the threads title should be changed to why RHD or LHD. Maybe we can get a good clean discussion about the advantages/disadvantages to a RHD car to be driven on the street. It seems the thread has gone towards an argument of that sort anyhow. The only problem is there is only data supporting one side. I would honestly like some facts of why a RHD car is not a safety risk. Maybe why it is a better car? I don't think you will come up with very many, if any, reason.
  3. So, your not worried about your safety so that gives you the right to put others in danger? So you are telling me you have no morals? If you cannot see the oncoming traffic from behind a truck, semi, or even another car, without pulling out into oncoming traffic, THIS IS DANGEROUS. I really do not see where your idea of how that is no unsafe is coming from? I am asking for supporting details that back up your side of the argument. Besides "I just don't really see it being a safety issue." My reasoning is, you are on the far side of the vehicle. If you are on the inside of the vehicle (side closest to the center line) then you can move the vehicle that gives you enough vision to know if oncoming traffic is coming without actually being in a collision path with the on coming traffic. If you are on the outside edge of the car (closets the the rumble strips) then you will have to move all the way into a collision path with on coming traffic to see if there is in fact on coming traffic. That makes this a safety issue. Now, I did say it was sorta neat, RHD and all. I see your are stating your opinion on liking a 2+2 and all. I respect that.
  4. Ok, scenario, you are on a 2 lane road, behind a large truck, lets not even say a semi. The truck is traveling a lower rate of speed than you would like to. So, you would like to pass the truck. You cannot see the on coming traffic and you cannot get far enough over to see around the truck without putting you and your car in danger of on coming traffic. That is how it is dangerous. I don't see what is so damned hard to understand about that? Its dangerous to pass anyway, there is an increased risk passing on a two lane road in a right hand steer car. I have driven rhd cars. I have driven them on roads they are meant to be driven on. There is nothing different about driving them. The shifter is on the opposite sides and the signals and wipers are flipped. Also most newer Japanese cars have super cool buttons that fold in the mirrors. My purpose to my post was my OPINION on a RHD car. I said I thought it would be neat to own one. I do not like the body look of the 2+2, that is why I (note I) would not own a 2+2, RHD or LHD. I also would not spend any more money on a RHD car than I would a LHD car in equal condition. Once again, this is my opinion. Now, it is a fact that it will indeed be more difficult to see around vehicles, to check for one coming traffic on 2 lane roads, to make a pass. Do you argue against this or have details to support opposition to this statement?
  5. Non of the skyline parts will fit the z without modification. I'll tell ya what though, you coming to the US? Where at? I will take the engine/transmission off your hands for twice the price you paid for the car. Sounds fair? I would like the ECU and wiring as well.
  6. I just want to ad that I would LOVE to put the 5.4 from the GT with a dry sump system in a z. Twin Turbo it and you wouldn't need anything more, but probably less power.
  7. Thanks for the second picture! Great thing to have saved in case I need something down the road!
  8. There aren't many around because there isn't much of a purpose for them. I mean, I would buy a coupe if I got one cheap, it would be neat to own. Just, a 2+2 that is beat up and not in very good condition isn't really worth much. It just makes it dangerous to pass and harder to drive in the US. Neat find non the less.
  9. Wind Shield in, Intake piping done. Heater hoses on, vacuum leaks capped/plugged. Need to fill it up with coolant antifreeze mix. I need to get a fan. I got my poly mount for the diff today. I need to put that in. I am going to get brake calipers tomorrow. I need to get my bearing seals the rest of the way in there. I have Friday off so I will most likely be getting majority of the work done Friday night. Exhaust is still going to be a huge deal to get done. I really hope I can drive it by my birthday.
  10. I am 17 also. My z is almost on the road! Z's are for lame people. Especially stock ones.
  11. THANK YOU! I was just about to post that they came with steel wheels off the line. This was under the assumption that whoever was purchasing the car would be their own aftermarket 'racing' wheels on the car.
  12. WOW! Yea, these buggers must like fire.... I must say, I don't think I would have ever learned as much as I have or been able to get it done with the quickness that I have without Hybridz.org.
  13. Guy posted a thread that said they were looking for 2 modified and clean S30's locally for a music video. Search the thread?
  14. Sadly to admit. First I found I wasn't getting spark after I started the car the first time. It had started I assure you. I had a small fire issue, gasoline sprayed from a cracked injection hose, backfire, fire. Put it out, in doing so I fried the coil. Replaced that, but wired it backwards. I went searching for issues. I found my EFI relay bad, I replaced that, so the ECU was then getting power. I had wired the coil backwards though, so the injectors weren't getting pulse signal. The sign that the EFI relay was bad is that the Fuel pump was no kicking on, it did after replacement. So after I got the coil wired the right direction, it runs. The little condenser is still missing, still bothers me a bit. I will live. I need to get an electric fan, brake calipers, waiting on my differential (GM trans) mount, finish putting the rear end together. A few plugs on the coolant lines. I should then be able to get this beast on the road. Lots of small details. I just finished my custom throttle cable say 5 minutes ago.
  15. Oh yea, it runs! Just FYI, I said it was a little hot at the end. I was referring to what I thought was steam coming from the coolant lines. The car doesn't have coolant in it yet. I have to plug a few lines and things. Just a test run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkglFO4sUas
  16. That rally car is ever so bad ass. You didn't happen to see what size the tires are?
  17. I would like to tell you. You don't have the AFM hooked up, the car wont run without the AFM...
  18. Pictures. Pictures would be extremely helpful. If I remember correctly then there is a screw at the very front of the mirror that clamps it in place (kinda on the like side edge of the mirror base). Then there is a metal plate underneath that with 2 screws that the mirror is attached to. Lots are different, old car, something could be modified, you never know.
  19. Yea, I was saying that because he will be road racing the z. I heard the TH400 is a power robber actually. Cleve, LOVE they was you are removing the bondo. I had a hood that was showing cracks in the bondo and you could see the dimples on the underside of the hood. Rather than hammer, I just jumped on it. Rather effective.
  20. Ha, yes, I see zero reason to tolerate ignorance. Simply not looking at the date of a post before making a stupid response bumping a year plus old thread. He took the time to use the shift key and make his response legible. He also seems to have found the search button, because hell, how would he find a year old thread? Then again, by the random first post, I would like to think Google found it for him.
  21. Did he add anything or was that just a fail right there?
  22. You mean people still use Firefox? No, totally kidding, Firefox takes up way to much room. Chrome is much better, I use Firefox. Why? I am really not sure.
  23. I am willing to help you with an OBX swap if you are worried about it. It was really simple. I thought it would be more difficult. The posts got me kinda confused. I think they lack as many pictures as a write up NEEDS to be successful. Not that its not a fantastic write up.
