By no means is that what I was doing. I was just asking for an answer to that question. You gave me the answer, your last comment was unneeded. I already had custom brackets CNC cut for disks on the rear of my car. Like I said, you gave me an answer, its seems like a solid answer with good reason.

I should have just kept old rust bucket and just did enough to make the car safe to drive and done that! LOL. I cannot do that to my clean 240z shell. It would be unfair.

Well, one of them isn't actually bolted on yet. I can't find the hardware for the hinges. I guess I have to drive with the drivers door off? Maybe I can just weld the door on, paint the car orange, put a Japanese flag on top, Name it Generar ree and put 01 on the side?

I have one question. Something constantly sought after are 5 lug swaps and brake upgrades. Why when building these control arms does everybody limit themselves to other factory parts? If you are building custom control arms? Why Not do it all the way around and adapt something like 240sx parts or even Skyline GT-R parts? Or who knows? Maybe something non-Nissan that can be made to work and adapt a 5 lug for great wheel options as well as larger brakes without the hassle of other custom brackets and the hassle of sourcing parts. This is just a thought, I think you are really limiting yourself utilizing the factory Datsun Knuckle and strut tube setup.

I love the wheels! Fantastic looking car. I wish my 240sx was that clean. Mine was originally that color. Now its mixed up with different parts and all the body panels are not on straight and its all jacked up. What brand/model are the wheels? They almost look like MOMO Legra's.

Sigh... You guys push away to much. I understand the guy posted a pretty badly worded, probably already answered question, but you need to slow down and read. He did not eliminate his waste gate, chill out. He found that the waste gate was stuck open a bit. He simply closed it, being all hostile to every person the board isn't getting hybridz.org anywhere. Instead of downing everything he does, maybe point him in the right direction? Once one person jumps on everybody starts dogging and its a whole bunch of stupidity all around.

Rear hubs you are supposed to use a slide hammer. As for re drilling I am not sure. I wouldn't do it personally seems to be a very bad idea. To get my rear stub axles out I used a sledge hammer and a punch that fit the end of it. Be careful not to hit the threads and mess them up! Other than that it worked out. They aren't fun to deal with.

Buy a Fiberglass or carbon one from Beta Motorsports. They wont rust out on you ever again!

I still really want to see some real carbon fenders with buckets. I think fenders, while large, should be super simple. It isn't a very thick part. It really only consists of one main part. Oh, as for the bare carbon. I think it is ricey and tacky. Especially if you are talking fenders, buckets, hood, hatch, doors and all. If you don't then wrap the car in a matching vinyl, it won't look good. It will just look like a bunch of mix matched parts. May as well just paint the car.

I had the blinker issue and it was caused by a PO hack job spice, if you get wires crossed on a signal or even your side marker (what was going wrong with mine) then it will no flash right. My side marker had been cut and just twisted together and electrical taped. This caused the thing to just stay solid sometimes. Only if the 2 connections were touching. Other than that it looks as if you have your issue figured out. Now PICS OF THE DASH!

This guy man. I love it. No matter what he is driving he can drive. No matter what anybody says about him being over rated. He is a fantastic driver and I couldn't even dream about ever driving like that. EDIT: Just wanted to add, me wants supercharges 1st gen MR2

I fought with doors as well. Somebody should make a new door mechanism for these old things. They are outdated garbage. Window = hard to roll up and down and doesn't wanna go right. GRRR

WooHoo. One of the doors is all taken apart so I can put it into the other shell. I am just waiting on the paint to dry on the other shell. Then it will go on the car. Small steps for now so I don't have to spend really any money. Getting the small stuff done so that I can just finish this baby up and go!

I think he is running the short block from the auto 280zx he bought in the car for now. As he is building the forged short block.
