  1. Seen one in person. Its not very cool at all. I think its very ugly. To each their own is the problem. white interior gets dirty to easy anyhow.
  2. Bead unseated? That bead has never been seated. Who put the tires on? I can't image a tire store would touch that.
  3. That's awesome! Sorry I wasn't on or anything. I coulda met you!

Epically wrong. Nellis is a fighter base. My mom was stationed there. To many larger planes, nellis NEVER had that many. They have many f22s and f15s and f16s.
  5. Wheres the videos? I miss the videos! LOL
  6. I honestly would have ran him over. When people do that on the road it is wreck less and you never know, he could have had a weapon. He was acting very threatening. I would have hit him just hard enough to stop him but not kill him. Then stopped and called 911 to explain. I you really never know, he could have just come straight out and shot you. Get my point? That is actually a scary situation to be in. I like how the guy kept his cool.
  7. I knew it was heavy, not that heavy. LOL I knew it was taller, that was my question is just how much taller. I don't think having it sticking out of the hood would be good at all. Maybe with a dry sump? Springs would have to be something crazy and you would have to spend a ton of some tires for that thing. Hey, it was an idea.
  8. I have done a little measuring of my dads 24v Cummins from his 03 ram 3500. I was wondering if anybody has ever heard of one of these in a z? I think they are to deep. I will be picking up a 91 12v Cummins cheap (hopefully, seem to be having a few snags atm). I would love to put one of these in a z. I think it will fit width and length wise but not depth. Any opinions or insight?
  9. Most people have a poor conception of a blow off valve. The idea is not to look like a Bad a** with your loud bov saying you have a turbo. I know the idea is to have it setup proper where it just bleeds enough pressure to not pop your piping off or anything that way the residual pressure during shifting gets rid of the 'turbo lag'.
  10. LOL. The reason I posted the dually comment was, my dad did it in his 03 ram 3500 cummins. Sideways for a good long time, controlled to. Wonder where I get my influence from?
  11. I agree with this. I always have the idea in my head that less weight is easier and cheaper than the more power side. I also like the idea of 400hp in 2200lbs. I have seen a few done up 2+2's that I really liked. Every car always comes down to the wheels for me. If the wheels don't look good the entire car is shot. LOL. Steelies count for the look good side though. Sleeper look.
  12. Your mind state is not built for what this site is made for. If you have the money and will power you can do anything. This site is all about high performance cars. If you had that mindset then you wouldn't have said such a thing. Sure you can drift an S30. Why not? Its already been done. What makes it that you "can't"? I don't see any reason why I cant? I could drift a long bed 4 door dually truck if I wanted to. I could probably even drift a SUV, it would have to be lowered and obviously highly modified but I could still see it happening. Just trying to make a point, that statement just seemed so opinionated. Basically I am saying prove it, I can prove that you CAN drift an S30. I have a picture of one drifting saved somewhere anyway.
  13. That's plain messed up! I am getting a cummins dually for a DD since my z is not getting done very fast. My dad drives a cummins dually as well. LMAO! Stacks are for semis not pickup truck though.
  14. Hopefully I didn't miss this and it was already asked or said. What wheels are those? I REALLY like them. Oh and just so you know. Your car is enough of the cool factor to at least make it on my desktop.
  15. Why a 2+2? 2+2 is heavier if you are doing auto cross and drifting. I also think they are ~ 6 inches longer. Not I don't think the bracing is any better than a couple. The rails do not extend all the way to the rear. The best mod to get would be Bad Dog frame rails if you are looking for that. They weld directly over the top of the stock ones and connect the sub frames. They are popular to hold the torque of a V8. I think because a 240sx is so popular it would be much cooler to drift an S30. I have heard it is harder to keep sideways. Maybe because of suspension differences? The wheelbase (on a coupe S30) is shorter than a 240sx.
  16. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?app=core&module=search I promise this has been covered.
  17. Finally some progress. Not many pictures. L28 is out of the 280z. Last things to get off are the rear stub axles and mustache bar out, a few other things then the old 280z is going to scrap. Oh, I forgot to add I got a 10 gallon plastic Harwood fuel cell for 50 bucks. Need to figure out mounting and get some foam. I am going to be drilling the spot welds out on the 280z trans mount and the old 240z stuff and gonna try to plug weld them back on. Need to get those Cellows or whatever they are called. Yea, call me stupid fine. HEHE. It should work from what I measured. You just need the 280z trans x member instead of the 240z. Which I have, I don't have a 240z one. But the 240z trans ears are gone. A couple pictures
  18. I guess it is time to get a new long block? Man, that really sucks. If you need help sourcing one I know of an L28et that was offered to me for $300. It is in Indiana, like 15 minutes from me. I got a feeling it will be to hard to get to you though.
  19. I thought it was electronics you let the smoke out of and they didn't work? Apparently this goes for engines too. Well, that sucks but its replaceable!
  20. While browsing craigs list I came across something I thought was strange. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/pts/1763045980.html To strange to be true I thought. I sent the guy a text, the 87 z31 with and L28 is real. It just needs a distributor. I wish it didn't need one and was running because if I could manage to get the money together I would buy it for the sake of being different with it. It's already wired and ready to go. I have pictures that I will edit into this post in just a little bit. I turned him towards hybridz so hopefully he will show up here and bestow some of his clear knowledge of a Z car to us. His shop is called fast forward. He was located in Virginia Beach, no in Connersville, Indiana.
  21. your car looks great! Floors don't look to horrid but the stance with that air dam looks good.
  22. If you haven't got one yet let me know. Cheap. Say, 10 plus shipping?
  23. Are you putting a 280z bumper back on?
  24. Isn't the wheel alone worth something like 10k to some people?
