  1. Jerry, the really nasty parts you should see if your local machine shop will hot tank them for you. I used to have my machine shop clean stuff for me all the time, bellhousings etc... Evan
  2. Austin, quick tip. Normal spray adhesive doesn't work well behind vinyl over a hard surface. It leaves bumps, make sure to get the correct adhesive. I know 3m makes it (I have a can, and its costly). But I am sure you can get it by the gallon too. Evan
  3. This was before I moved in, hence it not being filled to the rafters with crap.
  4. Actually it seems downright reasonable to me looking at the aftermarket offerings for the 240sx.
  5. Thanks Matt, great descriptions too. Evan
  6. Might be wise to take your car to a frame shop and see just how bad the damage is! Evan
  7. The flange with the hole almost totally defeats the purpose of having an external wastegate. I had seriously bad boost creep with that setup and won't go back to it. Evan
  8. I used a fiber gasket that had a fire ring with good success. Don't use a standard high temp paper one they blow out fairly fast. I used a copper turbo gasket off of ebay. not a huge fan but no other real choice. This was for a standard 5 bolt garrett housing. If you have a stock nissan turbo your going to have trouble finding a gasket. Evan
  9. Joel, I see you have the S-tec manifold. I have been considering one of those. what do you think of it quality/design wise since you have the lovefab too?
  10. My advice would be to clean those stickers off before they get cooked on there. Looks good.
  11. I have seen less than stellar things about K&N filters, is there a better alternative out there that offers a clamp-on style? My K&N is had it, its smashed and trashed so its time to go. Just wanted to see what the consensus was before I purchased something. Evan
  12. I would be concerned about the piston, the rods look serviceable.
  13. NHRA will not pass you with that setup. Rules explicitly describe the mounting inside of a battery box vented to the outside of the car. Just a heads up. If you do run a battery in your car, make sure it is bolted down well enough that an accident wont tear it loose. Also, an optima etc.. is a must. They would be a much safer choice. Evan
  14. Stock belt, I have seen very little evidence that they break routenely. However, I got my greddy cheap so thats what I am running. Evan
  15. You will likely do that the first time it whacks you on the head! lol Evan
  16. Often radiator shops will boil them out for you, then you coat the tank. Por 15 makes a product that the BMW vintage bike guys swear by. Evan
  17. I cant find didly about this thing, but the specs are as follows; Magnum Air Compressor/Cast Iron Advantage. Used about 6 times. Great Cond. 240v/60 hz, 6.5 Peak HP, 60 Gallon ASME approved, High Performance, Twin Cylinder, Oil Lubricated/Belt Driven, 23.00 CFM@ 40 PSI, 19.00 CFM@90 PSI, Has anyone heard of this brand? It seems like a pretty decent unit. Its local and the price is good. Thoughts? Evan
  18. Fiber wheels work fine, if you can drag the saw outside. I hated having that total mess!! The blade for that milwaukee is about $150 according to Austin above. Evan
  19. Chris, nevermind. I wish I had read closer. Blades are expensive! Evan
  20. Looks good Austin. I hate hood pins generally. I would go this route in a second. Very clean looking and functional. Evan
