  1. I totally did a sweet job packing that thing LOL. They have a strapping machine at work that they let me use so I know that thing would not fly through the side of the box haha. Good luck bud - Evan
  2. 25 is side feed. I run a fuel rail from Pallnet and venom injectors. I would not buy venom again, sketchy at best. I did it for availability. Also, don't forget when converting to a top feed aftermarket rail your stock FPR will likely not work. Evan
  3. I may still have a crane cams tach adapter if you want it LOL. I would have to look. Evan
  4. Oh, and why are you reusing your pressure plate? They are not machinable as far as I know. 300zx flywheel does not bolt up. Wrong amount of bolt holes in the crank. Evan
  5. Hit me up at my email eoie9432 AT gmail dot com I have a used rb25 flywheel that is resurfaceable. Evan
  6. I never replaced my flywheel bolts either on my L motors or my RB. No problems yet. hairline cracks sound like a possibility you should check into. Evan
  7. Nick, I put two prybars behind the pulley and pulled it somewhat gently. Pulling evenly is the trick. Once the pulley popped loose it slid right off. In the states we have a penetrating oil called Kroil or Sili-Kroil (I have this) and I can't even describe how well this stuff works. Makes life much easier. I would say its almost as good as a torch. Evan
  8. Yeah I was wondering what you meant by the CAS. I know you cannot install it wrong, just curious LOL. Best of luck man. Evan
  9. Do you think you installed the cas wrong? Or wired it up wrong? You should be able to tell whats going on by using a timing light right? Sorry if I am pointing out obvious stuff, just trying to help. Evan
  10. How about forged wheels? Dump some unsprung weight.
  11. Aluminum dash! That stocker is heavy! Depends on how crazy you wanna go on dumping weight. Fast weight savings? Dump the hood/fenders/doors/hatch LOL. Fiberglass or CF hood will save a bunch of weight too. I agree, your side mouldings look great. I normally despise them! Evan
  12. You need to search on the skyline forums to get more information on the oiling if there is not enough info over here. I don't have an oil pressure gauge. Sounds like something I should invest in. High rpm for over 5 seconds? About anybody who drags may run into the same problems. Oil restrictors and head drains seem to be the ticket. Evan
  13. Did you check if you have spark in these situations too? May be a good idea to get a spare cas since they are not the easiest to get and your SOL if you break yours. Evan
  14. No problem dude, just wanted to bust your balls! Evan
  15. Dude look at post #11 HAHA. Captain obvious swoops in for the kill. Good luck - Evan
  16. Scotty, nicoclub.com, racebread.com and racebread.com On second thought, I used a 240sx VSS in my rb25det transmission. Damn, I get so cornfused its been a year or so. You can use a stock 240sx VSS in the rb20 as well I do believe. Evan Ivan is a dork.
  17. If your using an rb25det tranny you can use a z32 speed sensor. Sounds good man! Keep up the good work. Search on the 240sx forums to find the VVT stuff. I don't remember off the top of my head. The ecu controls it, how are you controlling it with the haltech? Evan
  18. Just don't start your project short on funds! Man its so much nicer to work on something when your basically just assembling instead of digging change out of the couch when you forgot somethin lol. John has an RB in his car, and he says mount kit. Sounds like somethin you may wanna search on! Best of luck. Evan
  19. If your doing the water pump, you sure better plan on the timing belt too. Thanks for clearing up the mount thing John, I had seen his list and assumed he had that under control. I was not quite sure what was needed for the z chassis. Evan
  20. What are you goals? Are you wanting a basically stock setup? Are you willing to have downtime because of broken trannies? My car is my DD so I had to build it as reliable as i could. The rb20 trans may work fine for you. Good luck on your project! Evan
  21. Well internally the 25det trans is the same as a z32. They seem to put down 500+ through these things. The RB20 trans is very close (if not the same) to an SR trans. I don't know of HP handling but I know they break very often. Hence the z32 trans adapter plate. Evan
  22. You cannot swap a rb20 bellhousing onto a 300zx trans. However, you can use a 240sx trans. If your going to spend the money, don't bother with the rb20 tranny. Be prepared to spend the money up front else it will cost more in the end! Trust me!!! Evan
  23. My rb25 in my 95 240sx averaged right at 30mpg on the highway on the way back from last SEZ. No clue in town, I don't pay attention. My taurus company car gets 20, what would you rather drive LOL. Evan
  24. I have built several exhausts from mandrel bends. I personally think its a blast. I did an exhaust for an S30 chassis car from a header back in a couple hours. I did have a lift though. It did fit REALLY well, I love doing exhausts. Evan
