  1. Props to you, thats a rediculously large amount of work. I have done glass work before and its not always fun. Evan
  2. http://www.donjer.com Pricing is on the site actually. You have to look for it. If you request a brochure it has a small swatch of what the stuff looks/feels like. Very nice IMO, nicer than most stock flocking. I got the swatch today. Evan
  3. First thing that comes to mind is bad grounds. Check ALL your grounding points. Also, the headlight switch does NOT control relays or anything. The wiring runs right through it. Check for continuity. Evan
  4. Old thread I know, but SPAL makes a power window kit that works. I had one in my z.
  5. Make sure that stuff is UV resistant! Sun does wonders to products. Evan
  6. Yeah, I have all the pricing at home. Ill post it up. This stuff is not very expensive IMO. They offer a nylon, which would seem to be better for cars. Evan
  7. The amp punches are the sizes that are popular for building vac. tube based power amps. You have to have round holes to mount tube sockets in. Same stuff though. Home depot carries greenlee. Evan
  8. I have an espilir GT500 catback on my car. Its just a matter of building everything from the flange forward. I have a 3" downpipe right now but the fitment could be better and it hangs a bit too low. Ill post pics when I get it changed. Thanks! - Evan
  9. Just did a bit of research, the flocking of choice is the nylon stuff from http://www.donjer.com I am going to do some small trim in this stuff to try it out. Evan
  10. Oh, make sure the flocking is UV resistant so it won't fade over a couple of years and look bad!
  11. You motivated me to buy everything I needed to redo my DP all the way to my catback Thanks! Evan
  12. Flocking comes in a huge variety of colors. I have never flocked but its a popular car audio installer technique. Don't know about texture variation. IMO too much flocking looks very generic. It looks great as a highlighting feature but not as a main attraction. That interior above looks clean, but very plain and boring. You can't compare the amount of work flocking vs. fabric, flocking is SO much easier. Evan
  13. NO, I totally agree! Thanks for the tip! They are also great sources for used parts Evan
  14. My advice, this being your first swap, is to make it as stock as you can. makes getting bugs ironed out 100x easier. My first real turbo swap was an L28t with SDS etc... it took ALONG time because I was so green. I should have stuck it in there stock and called it good. Evan
  15. That won't be too loud... well I take that back I had a full 3" on my L motor with basically the same muffler. It was loud but not unbearable. Looks great, I was looking at piping because I need to do the same for my 240sx. Kudos to you! Nice job!
  16. There is a welding supply shop near work that I found, I may drop in to ask them for a reccomendation. Midwest hybrids looks like a cool place. I really don't have that much use for a "shop" since I do pretty much 100% of my labor. Evan
  17. Rock on buddy, glad you found it. Apexi says keep knock under 40 points and your good Good luck!! Evan
  18. You can use a large rubber mallet or dead blow hammer to make short work of it. Evan
  19. I am sure there is someone here who can do it, I was just hoping to find a reccommended source (like Dale Forrester). Thanks for the tip, I don't mind dropping it in freeport. I have no idea who midwest hybrids is, I have only lived here for about 7 months. Ill google them. Thanks - Evan
  20. Dave, its clear you suck. Just kidding. Yes FC-edit will log knock. Go under the map watch area and select basic knock (or its it advanced? I can't remember) and it should work fine. I log knock on a regular basis. Evan
  21. Power FC measures knock "counts" as far as I understand. My values come up and there is no conversion that I know of. Its common knowledge from what I have read to keep knock counts under 40 or so with the power FC. Evan
  22. No clue, but want to subscribe. Price is way right, thats for sure.
  23. At one point I did a pair of door panels by cutting up some panels from another car. I used the armrest etc... bolted it all together then glassed it. Works well, and you don't have to sweat making both sides identical. This is only feasable if you can get donor panels cheap! Evan
  24. that logo in the center is the key me thinks. Looks much like the three bars in the SSR logo IMO.
  25. Stony please keep us updated. That exhaust builder kit looks like a great deal for the price! I am going to be doing a new DP for my 240sx here shortly before snow flies. My old one hangs too low, prob. get ripped off by snow mounds. Evan
