  1. Hey man, seems like this is not RB Related. Mods will probabally move it to somewhere that will get more viewing. I ran spacers (although not that thick) and never had any ball joint issues. Evan
  2. has anyone ever flow tested one of the freddy intake manifolds? that is my major concern. I know its possible for rear cyl. to run lean with some of the front facers. Does anyone have the capability? I am almost willing to buy the manifold if someone can flow it for the community! Evan
  3. FYI the greddy intake manifold is a cashy piece, may make the purchase worthwhile. Evan
  4. You should probabally probe your ignitor harness to make sure your getting appropriate ground and power. Could be a chaffed wire or something causing your problems. I hate to restate the obvious, im sure you already thought of that. Evan
  5. I know you can test for injector pulse by removing the crank angle sensor and turning it by hand. I suspect the same for spark, although im not 100% on that. Obviously key on, and fuel pump fuse pulled so you dont fill your cyl. full of fuel! Evan
  6. you did check and you have no spark? Are you using a series one or two motor? Evan
  7. Seems like a pretty darn good deal to me IMO. Not that I could afford it! Evan
  8. You can also use a z31 turbo trans. Evan Nice car btw, I saw the pics on the rb forums elsewhere.
  9. If anyone needs it, I have two stock RB a/c compressors and mounting brackets. Take it easy - Evan If you go to http://www.nicoclub.com you might find a bit of a/c information on the forums.
  10. My 240sx does not show that behavior. Just thought I would add this since I am using all the stock harnesses for the 240sx on the alternator. Sounds like a good suggestion on the sensing wire, I had an alternator in my S30 (gm alt) and had the sensing wire in the wrong place and got wierd charging issues. Evan
  11. that motor comes stock with a front sump, and you need front sump in a 240sx. So you do have the right pan. Evan
  12. I ran a boost controller with a stock ECU, so I dont agree that you can't run more boost. I ran 14. There is no fuel cut to speak of on my car, it would run so rich I would have misfire on the top end though. However, its freaking pointless, my car ran SO rich under boost that it was not making jack for power. I swapped to an apexi power FC, and on its base maps it ran much better. Idle was 100% tamer as well. You have to run some sort of management, stony is so right. You leave so much power/driveability/economy on the table with stock EFI. Evan
  13. http://www.racebread.com Still works for me when I manually enter the URL. Evan
  14. what motor and what series? Rb20? RB25 series1/2? I have a full set of series 2 rb25 coils and may have rb20 ones somewhere. Email me offline if you need em. Evan
  15. Join up at http://www.skylinesdownunder.com That is a wealth of information!! Evan
  16. Apex is going out of business? Wow. I did not know of that. Regardless, I have no problem endorsing the FC product. Sounds to me like a full standalone may be the way to go. Also, the AEM EMS is pretty nice from what I have heard (just to go along with what M3 said).
  17. Thanks for the update. Was one of the hoses off the bottom of the upper plenum? Evan
  18. Is the RB25DET power FC available in D-jetro version? I am almost positive that is how the map version is named. Also, apexi just discontinued the power FC. Seems as if something different for 07 should be coming out. Evan You may want to search the 240sxforums or nico.com for more info on that.
  19. FYI, crower will be building an RB stroker kit that will become available feb. Evan
  20. LOL, I just installed a wideband in my car so its tuning time. I am going to go tune on the dyno after I am done street tuning (curious to see where the megan I/C will choke out HP). I don't work weekend so let me know when you want to hook up. I am always down for a drive. Evan
  21. if anyone near the chicagoland area wants to see the megan one, I have one in my car. Evan
  22. I passed emissions with a 1995 240 and rb25det with boltons. Make no mistake, that is the ONLY S14 awd car in the country to my knowledge. What a feat of engineering. Geoff your my hero, did you guys pick up that tranny yet? Evan
  23. Garrett, I had that happen in my 240. It was just an accumulation of sludge etc.. that broke loose. Everything worked much better after i bled all the lines till clean fluid came out. Did you pull the boot back on your slave and check for fluid? Your level is not dropping is it? Sounds like maybe its time for some new parts! There is one other possibility (unlikely) that your pivot ball on your trans is really worn, or the clutch fork is tweaked. Evan
