  2. Well, that ignition advance is about half of what it should be. Being that retarded will certainly cut down the power!! You want around 36 degrees at 3500 rpm.
  3. Well, you should come to Oregon in the winter, when it's in the 50s and almost no altitude. This will help your numbers!! There is no doubt that hot, thin air will zap a ton of HP. Is it always that hot early in the morning? I'd dyno it then!!

I'm going to start installing the dash & climate controls into the 280Z-06 and was wondering if there is a setup and/or place that sells bulkhead fittings to use at the firewall to allow the use of 90 degree fittings to route the lines more cleanly. Any ideas or input are appreciated.

  7. Oh, then there is something seriously off. Did you run the A/F ratio sniffer on the exhaust? I'd assume you have something off with ignition, mixture or cam timing? Definitely down 100 HP!! Hope you figure it out!! (the parking brake was off, right)

  9. Thanks for the compliments guys!! Getting down to the detail stuff I want to do right, as we all know what happens when you get a car running and you "back burner" the small stuff that you'll "get around to later". The custom dash with the Z06 gauge cluster and center console will be unique, for sure. Well, it looks like there are a few people interested in this piece. The cost effective way is to do them in stainless and I think I'll have half a dozen made up, since I've got a few of you wanting them. Probably have them done sometime near the end of next week. Stay tuned.

  14. Yep. I was going to have a custom set of headers made for the VG30 turbo in my 510 and was quoted $800 for stainless. I'm sure some before & after dyno numbers would seal the deal for many.
  15. So, just to make things clear, you referenced JTR twice, but I believe you meant JCI, since JTR doesn't make the LSx mounts.
  16. So, you are saying that it now backs out 1", right? That isn't a problem and I'd call it good!
  17. The cable & ends are just the Lockar setup. I ground off both stock balls on the pivot bracket and went to a fastener stir to get the rod that goes from the pedal to the pivot bracket, as I didn't have a clean, OEM ball & socket piece.
