  1. I have been searching for a thread where someone installed aluminum gas filler caps with balltype detents similar to the nascar type. I must not be using the right keywords because i keep coming up blank. Same thing for web searches. Anyone know the correct name for this type of fuel door? Thanks!
  2. Dan, what is up with the dice?
  3. Yea I saw those last night. I don't know much about intercoolers, but they seemed nice.
  4. Tell him what you are thinking, if the parts are ordered and he put out to get them then it would be wrong to stiff, but if he can stop the order, or if you paid for them then no problem. Just let him know. I seriously doubt that he will get his tools, have them setup, and get your engine done in a week..oh yeah the court order as well? Never gonna happen...maybe a month, not a week. So in a sense is he really being honest with you? Optimism is ok, but reality is better. Good luck either way.
  5. So I bought my Blast Cabinet, it is pretty cool except that the instructions blow. There are 4 nozzles and the instructions say choose the appropriate tip. So I am thinking the smaller the hole the higher psi for really caked on rust. I just have to start swapping them out to see which is best. Then the hose that goes from the media tube to the gun is super stiff and it makes it hard to manuver and tires the hand. I need to install a softer tube...no comments... Finally the cab is just a little short so I have to hunch just enough to grt at the back. It is pretty cool to be able to clean my suspension parts though. I need to hook up a dust collector to improve visability. I saw it at Harbor freight on sale for 200 from 300, but when I went back it was not on sale anymore. The so called manager said there was nothing he could do and walked away from me so I followed him. It was aboy 5 minutes to closing on a Friday and it was busy. I told him I was going to buy the cabinet and he had a choice. i would pay the 300 but I needed him to put it in my truck because I had a bad back...or I would pay 200 and come back the next day with a buddy to pick it up...*blank expression* "OK 200 it is"
  6. Try again...it just worked for me...however it is my webpage so maybe....hmm..
  7. Portable Air Tank, and an Impact Wrench...if available...rat-a tat-tat.

  9. Pretty cool...however now I garuntee he's getting his window busted. The only real option for NYC is to leave your car open, have nothing in it like a stereo, speakes, loose change or a month old piece of pizza crust. Even then they may still steal the paint right off the car!!!
  10. Yea I just got an email from Dave, he said he would be out of town for a bit but gave me a time to try him back. I am pumped, I think the set-up will be sweet.
  11. Thanks man appreciate the reply. Thanks to the rest of you guys as well. I checked the bearings and found that I needed new ones anyway, so i just left 'em on.
  12. Does anyone know if the re-drilled stubs you get back from Ross have new bearings pressed on? I am sending mine in today with the bearings still attached and wondered if I should get a new set or not. Unfortunately, Ross is out of town, and his site only says that the old bearings will be pressed off, and says nothing about re-installing after drilling. Thanks! Rufus
  13. Took mine out tonight. 15 minutes total for each side. Ground down the flats ot the nut, spun right off, flipped the assembly over on the bench threaded the nut back on, two whacks and she was out. The reading i did previous to the job was very helpful!!
  14. They are super sweet. The only thing I dont like..and it is a really big don't like is the ginormus AUTOMETER billboard that is on each guage. I bought them..i don't need to be reminded everytime i look at one to remember who made them. Similar to cellphones that have their name across the screen at all times....BS...
  15. Well I am trying to order a set. Dave says they will be ready in a couple of weeks. Hope to hear back from him to see what the final cost will be etc...
  16. They definately look like the Victoria British ones to me.
  17. Thanks Mark. I actually saw hat one but your post with the link to the pics does not work. Do you have a working link to the pics you posted?

    Tires

    From the album: Evil

  19. I agree JW is very sharp, and that aside he has stated to me that with 10" coil overs the largest tire and or rim that can be used is 9.5" wide. The reason i am pressing this is I am getting ready to set up the suspension, then buy wheels and tires. However I saw a sweet deal on ebay for some used tires which seem very new. 335/35 R17 and 265/40 R17. The starting bid is $100 and no one has ponied up yet. I know the cons of used tires however for the price i coild at least get her on the ground. Its gonna be a bit before she rolls under her own power anyway. I may buy them just for the rears. Anyone know what the widest rim a 9.6" tire can go on? 9.6"?
