  1. Careful...you won't get much help like that.
  2. 4,162 posts on a forum named HYBRIDZ...... LS1!!
  3. It would still leak. The only way to fix it is the right way. Let us know how it comes out. P.S. Are you sure you have the right tap? It is very important!!
  4. If it turns CCW and does not back out, and you cannot get vise grips on it to apply some outward pressure, try a small flat head and gently pry the head up as you turn it CCW. Hopefully that will allow a good thread to catch. Then you can try the correct size tap to clean up the threads. If that tap does not do the trick you will need to drill the threads out and re-tap larger, obviously using a new larger screw. Good Luck! Rufus
  5. I've never seen anything like that before...how about you Dan?
  6. I just saw a Valvoline commercial that had 2 Z's in it. Looked like a Red 240 and a White chop top 280!! There was a guy, silver hair, 50 something that at least seemed like the real owner. Anybody eles seen this? Any of you California kids know him?
  7. Admitting it is the first step to recovery. I agree with DAT260... FINISH THE HULK!!!
  8. I am not one for funiture but this rocks!!
  9. $701 was for the set!! It was not the reserve however...
  10. I don't think so man. My surgery recovery took loger than i thought it would.... I am going to try for fall I started working on the custom hatch last night!!
  11. Looks great. I plan on putting a false firewall on my car as to avoid having to sand all those nooks and crannies. I figure on sheet of 20 gage cut and tacked inshould do the job. I take it you painted it yourself? Tim, What is single stage and why does prevent orange peel? If your response has the word search in it.....well lets just hope it doesn't... Rufus
  12. 1 min 11 sec left only @ $701. They look like CCW to me... He's got good feedback.... If only they were 12 inches wide!!!
  13. It depends on what is undeneath...Sometimes it pays to leave some things to the imagination.... However if the package deserves full attention the wrapping is just in the way....
  14. F#$% Yeh!!! Is that a C5 transaxle? Very cool idea what ever it is. How about a little more info? Are you doing the work yourself? Seems like a professional shop... EDIT: Just found your other post. So you bought the frame? What was it on/under?
  15. Ez, Thanks I was considering that. I just figured that there has to be someplace that is manufacturing these considering all the custom wheels that are being made. Most likely a custom wheel shop will mark up the price on a blank making the idea of milling my own less reasonable. Thanks for the feedback though.
  16. Funny that different activities affect people differently. Mine was not from typing but from manual labor when I was young, and weight lifting exercises directed at my forearms, once again when I was young. Typing never bothered me. Of course what I do with a keyboard could hardly be called typing...
  17. I fiogured as much but couldn't help getting excited at the prospect...If you do want to at some point please keep me in mind. How much for the parts you still have?
  18. Anybody know where you can purchase these? My search is coming up "blank"
  19. There is a muscle that runs perpendicular to your wrist just at the base of your palm. They cut your palm, then cut the muscle and sew you up. I could have done it with a bottle of Jack, a utility knife and my wifes sewing kit!! Your nerve is about a 1/4 inch wide and resembles a piece of cooked linguini. The doc sais mine looked like cooked linguini that someone had stood on for an hour... Luckily nerves regenerate.
  20. I was wondering if anyone has the dimensions recorded for a 280 hub. I am thinking of trying to machine my own and although I am fairly confident I could copy mine into a CAD drawing, I thought would ask first. I have done some searching and come up short but I am still looking. Thanks! Rufus
  21. Well I got to work on the car for the first time in 3 months. After my dual carpul tunnel surgery I needed a little recoup time. It was great!! I got most of the second 1/4 done. Just the lip to go. It came out pretty close to the first one and with a little body work you will not be able to tell the difference. If any of you guys suffer from hands that go to sleep I highly recommend the surgery. My hands have gone to sleep for almost 20 years and about a year ago my thumbs and 1st thru 4th finger were numb all the time. The doc said that I had the worst case he has seen in 25 years. All is well now, my hands are a little weak but strong enough to hammer on the car, and they did not get numb once!! Rufus
  22. This isn't the one you bought from Stony is it?
