  1. I actualy test car seats for flammability. If someone wanted to donate one I could tell you wether it passes the motor vehicle flammability requirements or not.
  2. Very cool!!! I am wanting one myself...post some pics of your first welding attempts..I am interested to see what they may look like. Thanks!
  3. I'll jump in on the 2 yesar old thread as well... Take it from a guy that married a girl exactly like the one described.... "craves attention... is not happy unless she is the center of attention...." move on and find a girl who respects your feelings and knows how to act in a public place... the "girls just wanna have fun" thing is a bunch of horse hockey Some girls know the meaning of respect and some don't it is very easy to pick them out...once you have been with one awhile that is...
  4. John Candy as you may know was a huge nose candy guy. Because he was in front of the camera and could not afford his nose to run he bagan sticking it up his *** One day he filled the "gass" tank up with too much high octane....
  5. Yes Tim there was a car..... a nice header too!!!!
  6. Jizzunk!!...NFG...waste of money...etc etc etc.... Discussed over and over.... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=95640&highlight=phantom+grip http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=97012&highlight=phantom+grip
  7. I need a drivers side window. I also need a rear cross member, but I think the 75 280 and 74 260 are different. Anybody have info?
  8. Brings a new meaning to "Drunk off my ***!!"
  9. Maybe I should have not been so vague in my post sorry... There are three main things that I do not like about my HF unit. 1. The headband will not stay tight. It pops to the next adjustment when I try to put it on tight like I like it ! 2. When it is even mildly cool say 50 degrees F, the auto darkening gets noticbly slower. Below 30 degrees and it is almost useless....itscold up here 75% of the time. And the third one was something that PoP mentioned...the plastic covers. When I first got the helmut it was cold and the area between the actual lens and the plastic would fog up...so bad that I had to remove the cover to weld. As a result the plastic darkening actual lens collected metl marks becauseof splatter .... I was (and am) not the greatest welder My buddies (nice) helmut has a non-removeable glass cover and I did not think I could put anything eles over it....what are cheater lenses? I guess I should mention one other thing. I prefer to buy tools that will last a long time. However, at the time I needed a helmut (love that spelling) and could not afford the one I wanted. The HF was affordable at the moment and allowed me to begin welding on my car. Although it did not last a year and was ready for retirement within 6 months of fairly normal use. The HF unit as PoP mentioned is most likely worth th 69 bucks...I actually got mine for 59 on sale.... Rufus
  10. Waiting on a money order. I am 99% sure they are sold....sorry
  11. This should be the title of the article... I love taking things out of context!!!
  12. Trust me guys the HF helment BLOWS!!! I wasted my money on one and wish I hadn't. I will be looking into John's link.
  13. That blows!! Sorry to hear about it. Mike is this the car you did all the suspension work on? That is one heck of a roll cage. Cage isn't even a good enough term...more like web!!
  14. Bartman, You are correct. That is the side I started on and I got more proficient as I went on. However I intentionally made it approx. 1.5" longer than what I need. I plan on drawing a perfect arc after I make my wheel/tire choice them slicing off the out of round part w/ the plasma cutter I am buying for work...*cough*.... Good eye!!!
  15. Ferd, 20 gage sheet metal. I also use 16 on some spots. Thanks for the compliments!
  16. I know!! I actually have a buddy that does bodywork. I plan on dropping him a couple bucks to help me with the sanding. Z-Tard, After I made the drivers side I made some templates and the passengers side went together with less welding, and it looks pretty much identicle. The minor differences should be able to befixed with the glass.
  17. A while ago I posted some pics of the 1/4's I am building. I forgot to post pics of how the lip came out. Hit the link in my sig and check out the link at the bottom of the page.
  18. Here is the gif I would like to use
  19. Quite a compliment Thanks! I can't wait to start up again. I was smart enough to schedule down time during the coldest part of the winter.
  20. Thank you for your help dan When I was first trying to hotlink to my animated GIF avatar hosted by my ISP I would get the error listed above. Recently however I can get the Hybrid site to find the file but now the error is thet the size is either over the 2k limit or that the res cannot be over 80 x 80 pixels.. That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 80 by 80 pixels. This is the error I get when I link to a jpeg I also get errors like this: Warning: fsockopen(): php_network_getaddresses: gethostbyname failed in includesfunctions_file.php on line 30 Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to http://users.adelphia.net:80 in includesfunctions_file.php on line 30 or like this: Warning: feof(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in includesfunctions_upload.php on line 120 Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in includesfunctions_upload.php on line 122 This is the error when I try to link to a gif This error goes over and over repeating the two lines until i exit the window Finally this is the error I get when trying to link to the image located on this server in the album section: Error - cannot find an image at the specified URL. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL. I know all of these links are good because I cane get them to link in the post sections...just not as my avatar. This is the hybrid album pic This is the one on my site I pulled the gif off my ISP's server to check it and since I am at work I cannot upload it to show you the error I get when I link to that file. Basically it tells me it is not an accepted format. Thanks again for the help!
