    My boss has this in his Cobra kit car. Slap shift up to 3rd then into D for 4th and OD. Pretty cool!! I am pretty sure it was a kit he had a tranny shop install for him.

    Racer X, In this thread you suggested using a shrinker to create a lip for my 1/4's. Do you think I could use THIS instead? Or do you think the roll would come out wrong because of the current shape of the lip? Thanks, Rufus

    The fool I am i didn't realize that there is a Harbor Freight about 15 minutes from my house!! I went there and saw a large cabinet with a light, originally 299.00 on sale for 199.00 I am tempted!!!

    I am getting ready to purchase a set from zbarn (if they return my email) and from reading through old posts it seems that the cost of new bearings and seals is high. To the question...MML has billet hubs that come with bearings and seals, so at $415 does anyone think that the extra cost is worth it? I figure I can get OEM hubs bearings and seals for about $200 - $250. Am I in the ballpark or way off? Thanks for the help!

    I did some sarching on this ahwile back. It seems that all the other stuff involved in the swap make it expensive. The price you quoted seems comarable to the ones i saw when I was looking. Is it a JDM import?

    Thats what I was thinking. Tim - do you reuse the media? Use it on a clean spot, sweep up and toss back in the hopper? This is the other side of it... Idon't have too much of a problem with space so I am leaning toward a cabinet model. For some reason I did not see the cabinet type on their website, just the other kind...better look again. Thanks guys!

    I need to blast my suspension parts. Anyone have an opinion if one of the cheap home blasters is worth the money? Perhaps it is better to just have someone do it for me since I will not have much use for it? The HF units don't seem to have a cabinet so the media would spew everywhere. PINTA? :|

    EKU, Where in Richmond do you live? Are you a student there? I grew up in Richmond and my grandmother lives on Eastway. Do you know where Moberly is? Side pipes will be a complete custom job, completely do-able if you have fab skills, or deep pockets! FWIW I bought my Z for $800 with a V8 already in it. Just got lucky. Of course I have dropped 7k into it and it is currently in pieces! Good luck. Rufus

    I have two old style hydraulic bumper jacks that go up to about 4.5' I put one on each side of the car about midway, crossed my fingers, and started lifting, it was no problem. In fact, I plan on installing my complete suspension before letting her down.

    Red, Awesome write up!! Thanks much!! I got a little trigger happy with the "T's" in my post. My diff and axles are out of a 84-89 300ZXT. Thanks again for the info, I guess I will be sending my stubs to Ross and adding the adapters to my order. Post here again when your swap is done, although I have already bookmarked your site. Rufus

    When I bought my R200 LSD I also got axles w/ cv's. I am getting ready to install and I also plan on going 5 lug. My question is, do I need an adapter to go from the back of my stub axle to the newer cv axle?     Tony...How did you make out?I would definately take Georgia Flash up on his very kind offer. Even if re-tapping works, an unmolested part is always best.
