  1. Knew it had to be something like that!!!!!
  2. R.I .P. Dime m/ I'll be playing a little Far Beyond Driven today in honor.
  3. OK, I'll adjust my statement.....worst MUSIC software ever created......yes, that includes Garageband! I've set a couple of those Ipods up, and honestly, it took 3-4 times as long to set up the same amount of music as my Creative. My friend Darren took 3 evenings only 1/3 filling a 20gb Ipod through Itunes. I filled my 20gb Creative in about 1.5 hours. I dragged what I wanted in, and left it transferring for a while. Easy. No copying to your local HDD if it's from a network source, just transfers and done.
  4. After seeing all the people with problems with their Ipods, I got a Creative Zen Touch. 20gb, no hassles, don't need to mess with the worst software ever created, ITunes, either. Oh - and it cost me $159....... Oh - and it has a built in radio, recorder, holds pics, etc.......
  5. My wife's always been supportive of my "habit" and even when I've blown $1000's on my cars, she knows it always makes me happy to have something to build, plan, and eventually enjoy. After my last project that I didn't get to finish, I'm getting the itch again, and I'll be in the "buying" phase hopefully soon. And when it's done I know she'll want to find that 65-66 Vette we'll build. Red, convertible, with side-pipes. She's wanted it as long as I've known her. Only thing now, is that when we do build it instead of a 283, carb, and 4-speed, it'll have an LS2 (or LS6) and a T56!!!
  6. My wife and I met when I was 21 and she was 18. it's almost 16 years later, and we've been married 11.5 years. If you find the right person, who cares how old you are. Finding the right person is all that matters!!! Congrats!!!

    2rz / 3rz

Ha ha yea......funny thing is, I'm so impressed with the LS motor in my truck if I were to put a V8 into a Z it's probably be an LS2 + T56...... RedZ - not into Turbos. Keeping it simple is the name of the game next time I do a car. Last time I threw EVERYTHING at my car at once and had nothing but issues. I'm looking to keep it simple as far as extras, and the most bulletproof drivetrain possible with good power and efficiency......sounds like an LS2 to me!!! Problem is, with a V8 id' still get lilke 15 mpg....heavy right foot..... Really the 2rz is more of something I was curious about. It pushed my 3000+ lb Tacoma pretty damned good, and it even towed a 10ft trailer full of crap from Campbell to Washington with it and STILL got 25mpg. Not bad for a little 2.4L 4 banger! I'm still in the planning stages since I don't have the money yet, so just fishin' for info.

    2rz / 3rz

I haven't heard anything bad about the stock trannys, from what I have seen they are pretty strong. Not to 300+ HP but then again I wouldn't set it up to be more than 200 anyways. Not a big turbo fan myself. it would just just be for reliability and strength. A decent 200hp bulletproof motor like a 2rz in a decently set up car I can enjoy more than one that I'm always working on and trying to make better. I'd probably go for a 2rz just for the sake of ease, costs less $$ to get into and still puts out 153hp stock. A few mods and 170+ would be fine with me. Be faster than a stock L24 in a 240, at any rate. PLUS I wouldn't have to adjust the lash every 12k.

    2rz / 3rz

I've seen a few people mention this motor in a couple of threads, but doing a search I didn't find any threads on this specific motor. Anyone know of a 2rz or 3rz swap into a Z? They're a pretty strong motor stock, had a 2rz in my '97 Tacoma and it was decently quick and got 28-30mpg. In a 600-700lb lighter vehicle it would definately be alot faster. Just curious, suprised this ones isn't talked about much, since it would be very easy to get parts since there are so many Tacomas on the road, plus I've seen some Celicas and Tacomas with turbo's on 'em doing 12's.

OOps!!! Wrong forum, someone delete this!!!!
  12. It's $2.31 at the Arco about a mile from me. I'm glad it's not $3.50 anymore....in my truck with the 34 gallon tank that's a S$$Tload of money......glad I have a short commute..... I'd like to see it under $2.00 around here soon......I was paying $1.35 for gas last summer in Hillsboro OR......
  13. HOLY CRAP That's actually pretty damned good, much better than the guy's website......with the problems with the early Mustang's chassis / suspension, I can see why he would do that, bet the car drives and moves better than it ever did stock. Anyway, it takes some serious mechanical skill to swap in the FWD setup in, so not knocking that....I just see a Hybrid as IMPROVING the vehicle. I guess some would call that an improvement, so I shouldn't knock it too much......but still, bleaaaacccchh....
  14. Someone buy this thing and slap the old 6 back into it!!! It'll still get 25mpg AND be able to get out of it's own way..... What a waste of engineering skills. I wonder what kind of heated emails he's getting from Mopar fans!!! Hell, I'm thinking about emailing him......
  15. That's the way I've always done it. Think it's worked every time for me too. Of course my pilot bearings haven't been that munched when i've tried to take 'em out. If they're really thin I would assume that it wouldn't work. I'd use the dremel trick, or the tap, that's a damned good idea!!!
  16. Yea, Pioneer square is a great place to check out bands, or any other kind of club - there are 9 there, all within a few blocks, and only 2 are rock clubs. The Central is a pretty cool place, played there a couple of times, lots of history from AIC to Mother Love Bone - check out the walls. There's always seeing a Seahawks game too, it's not far from Pioneer Square. Also the Space Needle downtown. The weather sucks a lot of the time, yea, but sometimes ya get lucky and it's semi-clear! For contrast Portland would be a crapshoot, it's never just cloudy or sunny, so going down to hang in OR might be cool, it's a beautiful area. Even under clouds!!
  17. You're right, the Mustang headers won't work, they will hit the firewall on both sides. You have to use Block-huggers, which seem to fit nicely. Besides that, you can have custom long-tube headers made to fit also.
  18. That's why I moved to WA. I was tired of dealing with the millions of people, the traffic, and just not being able to get ahead. There are many good places left in this country you can make a decent living and afford a good place to live. CA is not one of them anymore; at least anywhere near the Bay Area or L.A / San Diego. Yakima is nice, was there once, a lot like Boise, you're right.
  19. Is it me or does the thought of spending $20k on something that can be taken out by a pothole seem crazy??? I could build 2 Z's for 20K. With Centerlines (17's) and killer tires. I can see 20's on a Suburban or big truck. not on a car. one curb, one pothole, time to spend $3-4000 for a replacement.
  20. You gotta be kidding me. That's just amazing. I guess that makes it easy to weed out the unqualified
  21. What I'd like to know is why there are so many people who don't use punctuation now. Half of the ads and posts I read online lately have been without punctuation, and with ridiculous spelling errors. It just makes whoever posted it look stupid. Most of the time I won't even bother with stuff I might have normally either been interested in or wanting to buy, just because of the post. My wife made a good point - if they can't use punctuation or spell correctly, how can they post in the first place?
  22. Wait, so is it a comedy or a spoof movie or something? I mean, with a name like "Snakes On A Plane" I figured it might have been. I'll probably rent it. $9 is too much for something I'm not really sure about seeing. Now CLERKS II I'll go pay to see again!!!!
  23. Damn, every time I see an RX7 with an LSx motor I just drool. Maybe I should do that swap........ *thinking*
  24. Yea I LOVE the look of the G35 Coupe. MUCH better design than the Z33 in my opinion. I know the differences are only skin deep, so I would go for the G35 in a heartbeat if I had 30-40k laying around. A friend of mine has a blue '05 and tossed me the keys right before a show a few weeks ago - I was like "swwwwweeeeeeeeeettttt" before I woke up and realized I wouldn't want to mess up his car, and handed the keys back. He's 6' tall and just coudln't fit in the Z33, so he tried the G35 and it fit him perfect. Even at 6'3" I can fit in it without feeling sqaushed - no more than an S30! So stop my blathering... Do I wish I owned a G35 coupe? YES. Will I ever own one? Probably not. I'm still making payments on my $30k truck......
  25. Damn, are those 24's? on a Mustang? That just looks STUPID. Barely fits the wheelwells. I bet he can't turn more than 1 turn before he rubs going into parking lots..... Hopefully he's got a super-stiff suspension or those 24's will be history.....
