Considering I worked for a Dealership (DODGE ughh) There is a outstanding recall for older Caravans that states the brake booster might fail due to whatever build quiality issues and its a Lifetime warranty Recall So I would imagine they have to do the service no matter what if your VIN has never been done. usually receptionists know nothing other than whats on their screen so get the Service manager involved then the Owner of the dealership. That should get it done for you and Now im gonna ask the same from the dealerships here hehehe

Well to make it fit with stock injectors I had to take my cut off wheel and cut some of the Square sections (where other Pathy stuff bolted on) OFF. Then it fits on perfect as for the Hood clearance. I had placed a few Washers where the hood mounts on and that seems to do the Trick as It's juuuuust is a tad to high Also im running a Turbo hood not sure if that makes any difference. But so far everythign has been very easy I just figure with that Pathy intake it should run Way coooler as its not storing heat under that massive Stock manifold plus you can actually see the parts now beneith it lol. But yeah would be nice to have a Dual Exhaust system Cause I figure then you could get a flange made for Maybe..... TWIN TURBO.. MUHAHAHAHA!!!!! hehe *dreams* only thing I see is the issue with the EGR placement but I suppose for you people who need EMISSIONS!! you coult get some tubing to accomidate it to the pathy EGR. As for mine! NO EGR!!! Exhaust goes out not IN!!! hehe So far build is going well EXCEPT!! I still can't get the drivers side valve cover off and cant see anymore bolts for the AC compressor mount so would like some info on that LOL anyone anyone.....

So when I was at the wrecker getting the upper intake manifold of a 95 Pathfinder for my newly aquired Z31 I noticed that the pathfinder has manifolds that shoot downward under the body instead of around back of the firewall like the Z31. Is the bolt pattern the same? Considering the engine code is VG30E Cause as I am dissasembling my Z31 and Was going to clean the engine once pulled. I noticed on the Pass. Side Exhaust manifold one bolt at very front seems to be missing or broken off inside *Ugggh* So since I now am going to pull engine to Clean the entire messy little beast I figured why not simplify the manifold and have it run down under body instead of back towards firewall... Not looking forward to Drilling and Tapping that front manifold bolt if its broke!! With any Luck there will be enough to grip on some Vise grips and heat it up and give her a twist lol.... *Sigh* Oh well Engine bay and Engine will at least be as clean as the rest of the car LOL

I was wondering dose the L28 280ZX N/A 5 speed bolt right up or I do have a VG30DETT transmission as well dose it share the VG30E bolt pattern? Trying to find the turbo manifold and turbo and the other junk I need for turbo. But Transmission as well. Some guy offered a good sum of Money for the VG30DETT tranny so thinking I'll sell that and get my VG30E some new stuff.. UPDATE!!! Hidden in all the compartments I found a New timing belt, some new ignition stuffs, as I stated the Valve cover gaskets, more random seal goodies all OEM nissan box's and bags hahah Just went to the wrecker and Got a 95 Pathfinder manifold and after some grinding got it to fit perrrfect ontop the engine so going with that and also a KA24DE Throttle body so she should be breathing a bit better =-) pics of the so far build Tonight.. *walks to shop*

So after searching all the small towns in and around Alberta I found a place called Wabamun!! what the hell is Wabamun... who cares Cause it was the resting place of a American Guaged 90% Rust free 1984 Z31 all Black with T-Tops and Power eveything all for $800 Bucks!.... The Goods: The only rust I could find was on the drivers side B Pilar and its just started. The frame the body, and all shock towers are in Excellent if not peeerrrrfect shape. Seems liek it has some Arizona Dust on it maybe LOL.. The Bads: Hmm Auto.. *Sigh yet again cant find a manual for the life of me lol* The slight bit of rust I must tackle tomorrow on the pilar hmmm The odd dropping Idle The ripping out of the AC unit LOL *less weight more gogo!* Non Turbo *Future life will be Turbo hehehe* All the Damn dust in the engine bay Geeze!! what was this thing a Dust Bandit!! Other than that she's friggin perfect Even came with 4.4L of oil, New Valve cover Gaskets soem other gaskets and 90% Tread basic tires LOL Pretty cool find indeed and to think I was going to Edmonton to find a 240sx LOL heheh Soon to be updated with pics of this Dust Bandit.. uh oh she's already got her name!! Old and Dusty!! just the way I like em!!

Yeah I have a Lead on a $1000 Engine just North of me. Guy imports from Japan so yeah hard to know actual KM's/Miles on it looks clean but thats what engine shampoo is for lol. Also have a Lead on a $100 PULSAR!! 1989 my first freaking car I ever owned baby woohoo. She said the fuel line popped off and she thinks it will be tons of $$$ to repair. I was like "where are you located? when could i come pick it up *reattaches hose* and drive away LOL So I'll have my beater to drive cheap on gas while I let my 280z Sit and I think over the next couple weeks. Guys brother has another Z32 with with JimWolf upgrade so he wants me to repair his over fueling O2 sensors lol. But yeah I think I would be building this one to Semi Beast Form lol like newer Front mount intercooler porting intakes probably increase TB size and finding some other aftermarket intake plenum if they exist.. Has to be a way to clean up that hulking intake lol

Well see I'm not sared of doing the work I love to sit there till 3 in the morning fixing crap Specially a Nice Z like the Z32's. I figure I would just buy a clunker Car to drive till I finished the 300ZXtt repairs so... I mean the main thing is yeah what is it Rod or Main bearing right if its main bearing its better then? come on you guys are you saying the 300zxtt is a pile or what lol. I mean I Love my 280z's dont get me wrong lol. I mean I already looked into running engines online anywhere from $1300 to $2000. so in the end I guess I could save up $1500 or so and get a Decent 50k running Swapper right and then have tons of extra parts from the "Spun bearing engine" right... Ah So wanting this Car to. I mean if its 2900 + 1500 for new/used engine then im only paying 4400$ for a good condition DETT right.. sooo..... thats what they normally go for about or even upwards of 10,900 for modified right.. although Ill keep this one forever lol.. TELL ME GENTS TELL ME. If you were me and you had my 280zxt (modified 300zxt ECU) would you trade it for the 300zxtt Spun bearing possibly. He says now he went to like Brake Stop!!! wtf is brake stop!!! last I hear brake shops arent great for diagnosing engine issues.. maybe its something stupid liek a Waterpump or Cam bearings lol alternator bearing hahahah.. im gonna see the car tonight Ill post pics and try to get a you tube Vid or something from my phone OKIES!!!

Well I happen to have the 5speed transmission out in the shed so if I was going to pull the engine I would just put the 5speed in when reinstalling lol

Ok guys brother wants my 1981.5 T-Tops 280zxt (with my light mods) And total price of his 300zxTT is $2900.00 OBO So I said I'd part with my 280zxt for minimum $1500.00 Cause it needs some bushings and blah blah the normal here and theres lol. His Z32 he suspects has a Spun bearing so here is the Z32 Should I trade or not? Now I am a Fairly decent Mechanic/inovator lol after all im in school for the damn trade. I have worked on my older nissans all my live but this is a whole new can of worms so! What do you guys think Head in there and get greasy for this Z or wait wait wait For another lol She's calling me... she gave me that evil Deamon eye! what do I do Boyz!

Is this my Eagle Talon TSI all over again! hehe oh! also Do any older model 1987 or 1988 300zxt Parts interchange? Rods ect ect anything better?

yeah with alignment they should not do: #1. alignment in the first place with worn tires #2. Worn parts why bother doing alignment #3. should be able to get closer than .5 difference on Camber. Whats your Caster with the kit you have. Caster pulls to least positive and Camber with pull but not as much. But if your worn good on insides then any lumps in the road with cause car to continueously track into the ruts. Loose steering gear in Rack will do it. So will tight steering gear. My Lower balljoints (yeah I know lol there are only lower) were toast that caused some weaving but not to much. Its my tierod ends that are bastardly but even with those toast and new lower balljoints I still drive straight after I aligned my car. Dont let those LAZY BASTARDS say they cant get it good enough thats just lazyness trust me I do alignments all day and if it aint in the GREEN it aint leaving the Shop.

He says bearing and from what I can tell you should be able to drop oil Pan then unbolt U guess the lower retaining bracket and then the two rod bolts to free thebearings. I would just replace them all while I was in there. Anyone had the lower half off with relative ease?

Spun bearing? Gonna pick up this beaut for $2900.00 interior exterior super mint all stock so untouched yay! But it apparently has a Spun bearing. I havent heared it yet but whats repair options? alldata is down. Im a apprentice mechanic I kow I can do the job but is there a way to maybe drop cradle or get to the underneith and replace rod bearing without pulling the engine? havent worked on the Z32's yet so wondering...

My Z's have beat out ex girlfriends.. so hehe I love em more than life itself. The one Im sending to Z Heaven now is my 81 280zx I had for 10 years Still ran fine but it lived during my poorer days so I couldnt really finish the body. Now time, weather, gravity, and earths pollution has made it almost Earthen again =-) And thus a NewZ is born. My 1981.5 Ttop Turbo 280zx (Z31 SPec *ecu swap*)

if its that noticible, is there any wear on the tire showing up. Sounds like a toe issue. but wouldnt know unless i put it up on the hoist and checked alignment.

I had the fan running the other day LOL.. And Its not -35oC all the time in Canada you know! We do hit +40oC LOL specially in summer and especially here in Calgary its the TEXAS of Canada lol dont you know Cowboys are from Canada =-) haha But im from Sunny/Rainy Vancouver BC. the Coast so what would I know right! =-)

I'll have to agree with sound. I love the rumble and then Scream of a good L28 they seem to just go and go. Love mine especially after the Z31 ECU swap. My 280zxt has never sounded better! in the future I'll deffinately go 3.1L L31t =-) I think around 400hp's is good enough, dont wanna get to squirley!! lol I might like it to much LOL:burnout: Plus I cant affor tires every weekend LOL:mrgreen:

hmm but oil on threads not on inside of the plugs.. you might be surprised.. somtimes oil will weap out valve cover un noticed as when its hot its really thin then it wont show a mark.. otherwise I would presume pistons seals but if comp is good and electrodes arent black to then thats a odd one.

My route so far has been Replace old 30 year old wiring.. LOL couple reasons. one its 30 two Electromagnetic fields actually move the wires through repelling actions when theres power on and off causing the Copper to be "WORKED" ie bent back and forth slightly until its breaks or frays. Best bet. Resistance test hot and cold so with light on for a bit then off.. At higher heat the wires should read a bit more resistance, cold whatever it reads. but if frayed you might be able to get reisstance jumps like Infinate or higher as the wire seperates and reconnects due to heating up and cooling down.. Again best bet REWIRE. might be a slight inconvenience but hell it will last another 30 years
