I don't think it was a tt. I can't here the z at all. The videos is shot in the z so you think you would at lest here the engine rev a little. I would think that at tt would be a closer race.

Look at the 42 minute mark and you will see some Z's.

The turbo might help. I think it would depend on your driving conditions. I used to have a mid 90 tercel and I found that when driving 75-80+ it actually got bad gas mileage. When I kept it around 65 or less It got a lot better mileage. I think that it didn't have the power to keep going at those speeds in traffic and it was an auto. I know this isn't very scientific but hope it helps. This kinda goes with a question I ve had for a while. Can a turbo be used for better mileage?

I would try looking at skylines down under. There is a US section and there is alot of info about importing. From what I've read you pretty much can't import a j-spec car legally unless it pass dot standards or meets an age requirement. The company that was doing them had to crash several skylines to show dot they had made the necessary changes. Problem is Dot considered this intellectual property of Motox (or whatever their name was) and want release it to anyone. The company has been shut down and the guy who was doing it is now in jail. Now there is what they call grey cars. Basically you have your car shipped to the states or Canada and then just bring it to the DMV and if the person there doesnt no any better you get your car registered. Then you would be locally legal but not federally. Meaning If you were stopped by the police or anything all of your paperwork would be legit. But if DOT found you they could take your car. This is what I found so far and probably not 100% accurate but I think pretty close. Good luck

I think further down it says that it is an 2000 highly tuned S4. I think they came with turbo v6 then.

Has anyone ever tried to take a z and turn it into a 2000gt ? I couldn't imagine it would be any harder than the Ferrari kits.

My friend seen something gorier this weekend. Some girl was going to work at 3p.m. and I guess she fell a sleep and hit a guard rail in front of his apartment. It was at an exit so it was shaped like a wedge. The engine apparently took out the lower post and the top part shot out the back window about 15ft. In the process taking of her head and part of her torso. He said a helicopter was there in about five minutes. A guy got out walked up seen the head and walked back to the helicopter and turned it off and grabbed some kine of body part box and put it in it. This happened in Sicily. He said the funny thing (if there is such a thing in this type of situation) was that traffic was stopped and people were walking up to look at the car. Not knowing what had happen to the girl and they would walk up thinking know one was in the car and then freak out when they seen what was left. I guess it only funny If you know Italians and how animated they are. Plus the fact that most of them aren't desensitised to violence like most Americans.

They call them cinquecento's. Means five hundred. As in 500cc.I even seen some 125's. Alot of the guys on base buy them an trick-em out. None quiet to that level. The nice go for about 5k and up.

Maybe we should start by having cars nominated by other members. Then the admins can contact those people and gauge there interest and weather or not they would be a good person to represent hybrid z. Once you get a group of cars the decide what the owner wants to do. Drag , Auto-x whatever. Then have a pole to select the winner. Just start with one first to see how it works out. Then maybe have one in each region. Maybe the first one isn't a ground up build but helping a fellow HybridZ'er finish his or her car and at the same time represent hybridz. I hope I am not pointing the discussion in another direction, but maybe it can be about members coming together and helping each other out and building a stronger community and some bad ass cars.

I was going to purchase a 05 MCS this Friday for my daily driver. Then all of the sudden my wife says our you sure about the mini? How about a bmw 3 series? Now saying this to a normal person wouldn't be that big of a deal but to a person who is always looking at card no matter what I currently own this is trouble. So here are my choices. Bastaad If you sale your car before you leave are you going to try and buy a new one before you leave or Wait till you get to VA?. One thing to keep in mind is that if you sale it and wait to buy a new one in VA you might have a problem getting a new loan because you want have any significant time in at your new job. Just something to think about.

The SRT4 is definitely a better bang for your buck if you don't mind it being fwd. My question is can you take say $1500-2000 and fix majority of the issues that you had with the GTO? There not much you can do about the weight but what about the suspension and the shifter? This might require new wheels) With the brakes it would be over $2k This is the same question I had when talk of the GT500 was going on. You can't really compare a stock GTO to a mildly modded SRT4 because your going to want to try and improve any car you have. I guess you would have to talk to a couple of people who have GTO's and have done similar mods to see If it made any difference. I had the same car but in silver when I went back in September. There was a Lemans series race when we went so we didn't get to race. We did get to drive some pretty awesome go Karts there. It was cool to just sit at one of the gas stations and watch all the cool cars drive by. Maybe next time I will actually drive on it.

I was just wondering what everyone opinion was on spacers and adapters. Another forum I got seems to only have bad things to say about them. The site doesnt seem to have near the technical knowledge has this one so I figured I ask it here.
