  1. Also with a PVC on one valve cover and a breather on the other, you wont have any oil dripping problem from the breather.
  2. To install the T56 transmission to a T5 bell housing you will need the adapter on the site below. But if you want the T56 to be straight, you will have to drill new holes in this adapter to make it straight. This adapter is for a Camaro that needs the angle for the trany. Hope this makes sence. http://drivetrain.com/gmt56inst.html
  3. The top one is '93, the bottom one is '94 to '97. The second one is the sought after one, because of the better torque rating, and better final gear.
  4. The Edelbrock Performer RPM Pro-Flo EFI comes with everything Fast Frog has, intake, fuel pump, all sensors, computer, harness, distributor conversion kit, everything to make it work. I got it from Summit, it's selling now for $1925.99. Can't beat it!! With my 327, and twist flow heads, I'm making 434hp, 493 ft lbs tq.
  5. It's nice to know that the stock 6 speed is taking all that hp and torque.
  6. I welded a sump to the bottom of my tank, removed the spare tire tub, and moved the tank to the center. I just have to make some new strap mounts, and extend the fuel hose to the tank.
  7. This site may help: http://www.mortec.com/
  8. B&G sent my engine builder a Speed Demon to test, before they came out. They were having a problem with them from the begining. My engine builder said that they were crap, and not to buy them. He still says the Holley is the best carb out there.
  9. I welded the cage myself. As for the door bars, they are supposed to be either sholder or elbow level(can't remember)coming off the hoop, then down to the floor by your feet. Well, there is no room between the seat and the door for the bar to pass at the standard hight. So you would have to bend the bar to clear the seat. This is with a stock Z seat, I don't know about other seats. As for the frame connectors, there is no kit for the Z, you have to make your own.
  10. I have the S&W 8 point cage in my car:...http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz4.html. As you can see I set back the harness bar back about 3" so I could put my seats back all the way. I didn't use the door bars because they would need to be bent to clear the doors, and then you would still have to add a hinge setup to get in. The stock panels will fit.
  11. Go aftermarket! I have a Pro-Flo Edelbrock with sequential, multipoint fuel injection. It comes with everything you need. I dynoed my 327 with this EFI and Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, and it made 435hp, 493 ft lbs tq!!
  12. Why don't you try calling B&G's tech line, maybe they can figure it out.
  13. Mark this site has them!...http://www.artmorrison.com/
  14. Instead of lining up the ballancer to 0, line it up to 12 - 15 degrees (or whatever you want your initial timing setting to be)then instal your distributor. This way your timing should be nearly perfect when you fire the engine.
  15. According to my calculations you now have $22,000!The sky is the limit, go build an awsome Z! Why did you sell it, after you finally got it running right?
  16. Did you guys buy your flywheel directly from Centerforce, of through Summit, or Jeg's?
  17. Check out "Dyno Results" about my little 327 EFI.
  18. Mike, what is DEI tape? and where do you get it?
  19. Tom, as far as I know, If you install a V8 in a ZX with the engine right over the stock engine mounts, the back of the engine will be right up to the firewall. So if you want a JTR set back you will have to move the firewall back also. If you did this I don't know where your shifter will come out.
  20. Welcome Andrew! As for your question, do you think maybe it's creeping up your filler tube? (dipstick)...not you, the one on your car
  21. Apparently a T56 will fit in a 280 tunnel without pounding, so a T5 will fit with no problem, it's smaller.
  22. I got my reverse headers from http://www.zigsstreetrods.com but I'm not sure if they will fit an LT1. I did have to dimple the passenger frame a little, and I will be putting in another u-joint in the steering shaft to clear the driver side header.
  23. Thanks Z-Dreamer, I was going to go progressive springs all around too. When I bought my coilovers for the front from Ground Control, I talked to the guy for a bit, and he said not too. That they didn't work well because the way he discribed it,... soft, hard ,soft, hard, hard. What he meant was you'll be driving along, and it feels nice and cushy, and you hit a dip or bump, and bam the springs get rock hard, and shutters through the car.He said to use regular rated springs. With 295-15-50s on 10" rims I think I narrowed the 12 bolt to 45".I using rear disc from a 79 Trans Am. Front disc are stock Datsun rotors custom mated to chevy drum hubs, and Toyota 4 piston calipers. One day I try to get more pics on there. I'm planning to put on a short video of my engine on the Dyno!(EFI 327- 435hp, 493 ft lbs tq)
  24. Myron, I have the Trick Flow twisted wedge heads. According to the add they boosted a 350, 70 hp. I'm definitely gaining power from them, but I think the majority of my power and torque is coming from my Pro-Flo EFI.
