  1. I like the mounts! Very simple, and strong looking. Are you going to use rubber isolators, or solid mount?
  2. Congrats!! I like point #6 You'd be suprised how much this helps. You tend to lose track of things very quickly if you don't keep up.
  3. Hey JP, here is one in the Atlanta area: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/pts/85912376.html
  4. Found this http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/93958957.html but it's a large journal
  5. Congrats! I know you have been trying a long time
  6. Yes an LT1 t56 will bolt right on with the stock bellhousing, but you have to buy the special flywheel, and clutch set up. Back in 2000 when I did it, the total for both was around $700
  7. What Wags said, it may be cheaper to go with a kit http://www.weirhotrodproducts.com/ then to go with an aftermarket flywheel, and clutch.
  8. JP, I still have my battery tray I carefully took out, you can have it if you want.
  9. WOW!!! Looks good Mike, can't wait to see it.
  10. You need one of these: Read this article. http://www.jagsthatrun.com/V8-chapters/V8-tpi-Speed-Sensors.pdf
  11. Alright! way to go! Are you taking it to SEZs? If you have a roller cam, you don't have to do the 2500rpm break in, but do keep the rpms up a little while at first. If you have hyd, or solid lifters, you need to keep it at 2500 for around 15 to 20 minutes.
  12. ...not to mention you won't have any ride, until you find a nice V8 car, if you sell both of yours. I doubt you will find someone to swap a V8 car for yours, we know better.
  13. Welcome! and watch your back over there, you know how they love contractors. Did you search in the " drivetrain" section? I don't think anyone is using the stock clutch master with a hyd TO. I think they use a 3/4" master. I think some people tried the mechanical linkage setup , but not sure if it worked.
  14. I don't think the Taurus fan would make a good pusher fan, it has a built in shroud, that would cover up your rad intake, and i don't think it's reversible. I remember Pete saying that his Mustang fan doesn't have the shroud, and is just as powerfull as the Taurus, not sure if you can reverse it though.
  15. Cool, and simple idea! But , I can see the cops put a stop to doing that on the street as soon as someone gets hurt.

  17. Any idea what the spring rate is? You need at least around 250#, also are your struts new?
  18. If you have the JTR book it tells you how to do it. You have a '72 240, you will need the inners of a 280. JTR will explain.
  19. Welcome! Here is the link to the JTR manual, Buy one! http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html
