  1. Welcome to the site! 2 gauge sounds small. I used a 00 cable. Make sure where the ground is tied there is no paint, and also make sure you ground the engine to the body, no paint at that connection too.
  2. Welcome to the site! This is from a web page I found: "1977 King Cobra Mustang II package that came with a 2-bbl 8.4 compression 302 V-8 that was rated at 139 hp at 3,600 rpm and 250 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpms."
  3. First off Welcome! Did you search the forum yet? Click on "search" above and type in 280zx, there is lots of info!
  4. First off, Welcome!! Maybe someone replaced a fuel line with a non fuel rated line? The fuel will eat the rubber on those. Check your vent lines, if someone changed them I bet they are none fuel lines. Replacement vent lines are hard to find.
  5. I remember looking at a lime green '70 Hemi cuda w/ shaker hood in 1979 for $9000.00 . It was a lot then, but man wish I bought it!
  6. Do a search with " z31 v8 swap" there are a few people that have done this.
  7. 8037 are the headers that I used. They clear the angle plugs, no problem. But the drivers side hit the steering shaft at the collector. So I ended up adding a u-joint to the shaft. The passanger side came close to the frame, and I think I dimpled the frame just to make sure they didn't hit. I bought them coated at http://www.zigsstreetrods.com/zigs.html for $189. They have now gone up in price.
  8. Good luck Pete, hope you make your trip!! You need to come back to SEZ again with the new engine!
  9. Maybe a hairline crack of the inlet port on the slave cylinder
  10. Maybe this will help: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100382&highlight=z32 Here's another: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=88402&highlight=300z
  11. Now this is more like it! I like the front end.
  12. That's strange with the tach. Don't use the tach harness from the Z, run new wire for everything. Your headers are turning red, because of timing, plus your carb is too rich.

    Size Matters

See if you can fit a Spintech muffler . http://www.spintechmufflers.com/spintech/spintechindex.asp Hit "Street Performance", then "Cruiser Series". These are only 2 1/4" thick and sound great! I have them. These are not glass packs.
  14. Cool! It will be fun to watch at the next SEZs event!
  15. That was me with the McMaster-Carr seal. I added it to my fan and it sealed up around the fan and rad very nicely, more cooling power!
  16. Grind a little around the lip from the top, you should see them then.
  17. I think the drive shaft came off at the tranny, dug into the ground, which pushed the car up, and also pushed the suspention out.
  18. Lower back tattoo removal product. http://www.drtattoff.com/tattoo-skit.php
  19. OK, that's better...So you want to install an older generation SBC in a 280ZX, correct? Out of that list I would start with the 280ZX mounting kit, the radiator brackets, maybe the radiator, but look around you may find something cheaper. I would also look at the headers. That would be a good start. As far as I know there isn't a V8 kit for a 300ZX.
