  1. Is the engine light on in the trans am? You need to address those first. If the engine light is not on, then it's either fuel, or spark. Is the fuel pump working? Pull a plug while turning over, is there spark? I had an 86 Berreta that the ignition module fried, but there was no error message, I had to find it myself.

  7. A lock shop can make keys for you.
  8. I believe when you have both the brake switch, and 4 way assemblies you car is concidered a Federal Model ( maybe from California?). The brake light wire is not sticking out of the brake switch assembly, it connects to it from your harness. I don't see why you can't re-route your brake lines like a non Federal Model.
  9. Welcome! Your car looks great!
  10. You should have a brake switch assembly near the frame under your m/c. This has a an electric lead for your brake warning light. But what Datsun327 is showing is a 4 way valve, I believe he has both.
  11. It's called a 4 way valve assembly. Not sure why you need it, my 240Z doesn't have one. Is this car a 2+2?
  12. Yeah what John, and Drax said, It's the same thing, different sticker. What's the big deal? It will work in your 240Z and do the same thing!
  13. Oh my god, your not talking about Hitlery are you ?!

  15. Scottie, a residual valve is not another term for a proportioning valve, it's more like a check valve. With a proportioning valve, pressure is reduced going to, lets say the rear brakes. With a residual valve, full pressure goes to the back brakes, but reduces pressure going back to the m/c. That link I gave, the residual valves are the small red, blue cylinders.
  16. No, the m/c doesn't have to be highest, but you will need a Residual Valve in the line to the back brakes if they are drums, I don't think you need them for rear discs. Not sure on the line-loc, but maybe a Residual Valve in that line would work. http://www.zigsstreetrods.com/zigs.html click on "brake systems"
