  1. Oops guess I should have clicked on the link and not just look at the pictures
  2. My friend had that same thing happen to his 93 mx-3 V6. It was about a yr after we put the pp and clutch in. And you can take it out and put it in without removing the transmission or atleast it was that way in his fwd car.
  3. 20k and not even an engine. Wow!! I guess the person who made up the saying there is an idiot born everyday must have had this guy in mind
  4. Man oh man thats funny what a dumb ass, but right after he crashes no one runs over to help they just stand there and laugh wtf? On the slow replay you can see the airbags going off and the airbag powder going everywhere .
  5. Here are a few installation links I've found. http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/Calipers/zbrakeupgrade.htm http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/Calipers/toyotaCalipers.html http://www.nitrophotos.com/240z/reardisk.html That is just a few I've found. If this hasn't answered your questions you can pm me. Good Luck
  6. Last time I went to houston raceway been a yr or two I had to wear a helmet in my 13 second car and in a convertible that was running 15's. I believe from track to track some rules vary alittle bit. So on the safe side if you plan to be in the 13's you might want to bring a helmet or you might get stuck with the crappy loaner ones.
  7. I have a 72 240z with no right fender and hood. I am going to replace the hood with a carbon fiber one, but I am wondering if I should get fiberglass fenders with the headlight extensions. Or should I just find a halfway decent steel panel at a junk yard and fix it up. If I bought one side I would replace the other side as well. I'm willing to cough up the money but I am unsure of any long term problems I might have with the fiberglass. I am also worried on how the fiberglass fenders will look next to the steel doors once painted. My car will be a daily driven 240z with an occasional solo II event or drag event thrown in. TIA
  8. Thanks for the video. LMAO when the truck hit the telephone pole What the heck did the guy in eclipse say Is that your piston?
  9. WOW!!!! Umm yeah. Defiantly a R-rated safety video. Or by the new movie standards PG
  10. I am about to purcharse a 74' 260z 2+2 manual. I asked the owner about the rearend he said it is a r-180 3.7 and that the ratio only came in the 260z 2+2. Right now the speedo is broken so I can't really confirm this intill I get it home and put my gps in it, but was wondering if someone new for a fact if this is correct or not. Everything I've found on the web has said it is either a 3.364 manual, or a 3.545 auto. I think that the 2+2 might have come with the 3.545 but i'm not fur sure. Thanks for your time. Ted Schmidt 2000 miata w/stuff 1974 260z soon to be in my garage up on jack stands

Bored wasting time and saw this thread. How could u forget "The Wraith" An 70's-80's movie. It had a dodge ? prototype in it. And most defiantely dr2000 it has unnecessary blood, violence, nudity, no plot what so ever. What else can u ask for

My friend recently bought one of these. Nothing like the srt-4 but not too bad. He put on a $20 MBC we made from home depot. Turned up boost to 12-13psi and he ran a 14.3 at the track. We did nothing else not even and intake. So defiantly room to grow. But it still is a protege. I drove a 96 with the 1.5l auto for about 2 months back in high school. 0-60 in like 11sec. 1/4 21sec. The only cars I could beat were the soccer moms next to me in their sport utility and only if they didn't know I was racing
  15. As of three days ago Paris WHO? Basically she is Mr. Hilton (owner of the hotels) daughter. There are two daughters one georgeous the other very attractive. The georgeous one did a video with a guy and somehow it got to the web. Its about 2min 50sec long and is crap. She is pretty hot but yeah she was way way out of it. Plus night vision was used and there eyes are freaky black. And as RPMS pointed out she did not give concent to have this tape used in this way. So it is indeed a form of rape. I WANT AN ENZO!!!!
  16. Hey guys thanks for all your input. VinhZXT I understand that I won't need the cv shafts but I think I might as well since I"m rebuilding the rear end anyway. My power goal is 300-350hp. And running in the 12's. I have read that the u-joint shafts don't like this power and I've got a few 280zxt in the junkyards where I live, so I'm just going to grap a pair. Thanks again Ted Schmidt
  17. I guess i'm just way off here let me see if I get this. So on the front of the differential there is a Companion flange that has a "pinion nut" on it. This flange connects the driveshaft to the differential. So what I need to do is switch my flange off of my r-200 onto the 3.7lsd. This way the 3.7lsd diff will connect to my driveshaft. Now back to the axles. I have the u-joint axles. Do I or do I not need to replace my axles. If I do replace them I should also get the flanges that hold the axles to the diff. Do I also need the flange the holds the axle to the hub. Thanks again for all your help and patience. Ted Schmidt
  18. Sorry about that I just looked at my haynes manual I understood what u meant K i will get axles and the flange that connect the axles to the differential. On the r-180 they are called yokes and on the r-200 they are called flanges. I will be getting both of these off of a 83' turbo 280zx. Wow this is alot simpler than on my previous cars I've worked on. 91 sentra, 92 jetta, 86 mr2. All had the axles hooked directly to transmission. Thanks for you help jon.
  19. So I need the yoke off of the 280zx turbo driveshaft or the 300zx driveshaft? I would guess 300zx since both the non-turbo and turbo have a r-200. And you are talking about the axle nut that holds the axle into the hub and has a pin on it correct. Or is there one on the driveshaft? Thanks for your help.
  20. Ok I am going to be swappipng the 3.7lsd into my 83' 280zx non-turbo in the next few weeks and was wondering what will I need for the swap? I am 99% sure that the axles I have are u-joint so I will need cv axles from a turbo 280zx. So besides those what will I need? Driveshaft? Special diff mount made? Also will the cv shafts fit into my rear axle stub and wheel beering assembly? (a.k.a hub) TIA
  21. So the pcv stops air from going into the intake manifold but lets it come out of the crankcase. I new it would not let air out of the intake manifold. So u would cap that manifold off and run two hoses one off of the crankcase and the other off of the valve cover breather into a t then into the exhaust manifold. Basically what bastaad525 said awhile ago Thanks for explaining it for me. So who is going to try this first Let us know your results turn out even if its a butt dyno result.
  22. This sounds interesting but I am alittle confused on that I thought the pcv valve is a one way valve designed to not let air out. If that is the case then any tube connected on it would not be able to remove any air. But if this was put on the valve cover ventilation tube then it would work. So if you installed this you would run a tube, with a one way check valve letting no air go into the valve cover, to the exhaust manifold somewhere on the downpipe. How does this sound to you guys?
  23. Well the first bid was 1,999,999.99. And funny thing the reserve still has not been met I guess if the reserve gets met then they will have to buy the car. Its not ebay's fault that everyone put in wrong numbers. Or could be an error in the programing
  24. Hey lockjaw you're running the 3.9? Iis that the one out of the n/a car. If so what kind of tires are u running at the track. I just went to the track in my car and had one wheel spin and I ran a 15.8 with a bad valve. And I'm only running 215/70 on stock rim, although I do have a very bad diff mount. I would like to stay with 3.9 when I go turbo but I need lsd so i'm getting the 3.7lsd. Also how much does ur car weigh. Mine weighed 2750 without me 1/4 tank of gas, full radio, interior etc... TIA
  25. Well I just sprayed some carb cleaner near the injector o-rings and nothing happend. So I guess they are not leaking. So it is either a bad injector or it needs to be cleaned. I have my timing advanced so i've used 93 octane the last four tank fulls so I know the injectors are as clean as they will get without getting them done at a shop. I'm going to put a turbo motor in a week or two so I will prob leave it be. Oh one thing else I noticed is my valve cover gasket is missing on the back 1/4 of the engine. I haven't lost a noticable amount of oil but still with a lack of vacuum in the valve cover it could make it run rough so I will be replacing this tom. Let me know if you any other input. TIA
