  1. Well if you have $50 I'll go swap my 370cc injectors I have lying around into my car and then go dyno it for yeah  Actually I was just thinking about this. One way I came up with is to lean the mid range up is by loosening the flap in the afm a tooth or two and then lowering the base fuel pressure. Basically make the curve more linear or more fuel in the upper rpm's only and then lower the fuel pressure to get the a/f ratio back down where I want it. What do you think about this bastaad525?
  2. At first I looked at the first pick and was like thats another cool cobra kit, I wonder what car they put it on then... I scrolled down and saw the second one. I shouldn't have scrolled down.
  3. No I am pretty sure nothing is crusty. Since the car was running b4 I blew whatever I blew. Thanks Anyways. Ted Schmidt
  4. I was having some problems starting my car so I decided to bypass my msd 6al and connect the stock wires back to the ignition coil. Well I forgot to turn off the key and for some reason I got alot of sparks when I tried to connect the wires and some popping noise coming from inside the car. Well now I can turn the lights on and thats it. I can't roll up windows or down. The fuel pump doesn't prime. Car won't start and etc... I've checked all the fuses and they are good. So i'm lead to believe it is a main relay. Unfortantely it is raining right now so I can' go out there and play with the electrical system so any help is appreciated. TIA Ted Schmidt
  5. I played this game about a yr ago and then promptly deleted it. I for the life of me can't remember the name of it. It played kindof like master of orion but instead of being in control of multiply ships you controlled one ship, your family's ship. Your main goal was to trade goods with other star systems so that you could upgrade your ship. You also needed too conquer the other star systems. Please it has been bugging me for the last few days. TIA
  6. Yes the ngk are the best. Do a search on the spark plugs and you will find what heap range you need for your application and whole lot more info that you should now. But the short answer is a heat range of 6 and a gap from 0.03" to 0.035".
  7. Sounds like spark. Either you have the gap too big, your spark plug is melted, or you don't have enough power going to the spark plug. Reason you can rev to 5k at 20% throttle is because there is not as much pressure inside the combustion chamber. G/L
  8. Looks like i'm off to the hospital also. My sister just went into labor and i'm the d-driver. Atleast now when the cop pulls me over I have an excuse for speeding
  9. Nice ride. The exhaust defiantely does not fit the car. But thats the point
  10. HOLY CRAP!!! $2000.00 Hang a sec I need to go make a grilled cheese sandwhich and modify it with my soldering iron
  11. BRING IT ON I have $5 on old blue
  12. Your right bastaad525. I am planning to put an intercooler on and rebuild the head when I put the engine into the other car. I will also install my 370cc injectors and a walbro fuel pump. So I should have an extra 20-30hp from going from 11psi to 14-15psi. Actually the time i'm most proud of is the 60ft. Its my first sub 2.0 with street tires So no more work on the zx I must only work on z Lots of rust removal, metal work, and other oh so fun jobs.
  13. Thanks. I can't believe how fast it is. Yeah those are my only mods. I was running 11psi, 27º timing, 32 psi fuel at idle with vacuum connected, .045 spark plug gap, and the exhaust was cut-off right after the stock downpipe. I am running 225/60r15 bfgoodrich g-force sports on the stock turbo rims. Don't forget that the car is completly stripped. The only things left to remove are the bumpers and then replacing stuff with lighter things.
  14. Well I just got back from Houston Raceway and to say the least i'm quite pleased. My last best time was a: 60ft 2.056 1/4 13.603 mph 101.2 "UPDATE!!!. MY NEW BEST TIME!!! " I have removed 50lbs (it weighed in at 2574 without me in it and 2730 with me in it), cut off exhaust, and put boost up too 11psi (no pinging ). This time my best was a .... My mph was 103.13. I finally got my 60' time where I wanted it. I had to learn how to slip the clutch just right. So far I have put a total of $1600.00 into this setup including the car. Within the next week I will be removing engine getting it ready to be put in my 240z. I can not wait for it to be in the lighter car, and with more power. 12's here I come
  15. OMG!!! Throttle sticking my ass More like lets race my friend who's behind me and show him my mad skills as I take this corner real fast.

  17. Wrong. 81-83 na 5 spd is different than the 83 turbo 5spd. 81-82 turbos only came with an automatic. http://www.geocities.com/z_design_studio/transmission.html
  18. lol Somebody had too much time on there hands. I love the scream in the back ground Makes it so much more dramatic.
  19. If it is the stock "pop of valve" then it's actually an Emergency Relief Valve or ERV. It should be located towards the back of the engine bay on top of the intake manifold. All this does is it releases boost pressure after a certain boost pressure. A real BOV goes b4 the throttle body. If this is the case then all you need to do is get a 1" compression plug from your local hardware store, remove the old ERV, and plug the hole with the plug. Then you need to go and buy a real BOV because your turbo does not like 12.5 psi reverberations. Hope this helps.
  20. It really depends on your setup and your power band. Also if you can get the lsd 3.7 then that will prob be your best bet just because of traction and its right in the middle.
  21. Hey bastaad525 what are the dimensions on the intercooler. I am looking to get about 250-260hp and 310lb. I think your intercooler would work especially since it has metal end tanks instead of plastic like the porsche. But yeah installing it would be fun What shapes of 2.25" ss piping is it. Straight? 90 degree? 45 degree? Also how much piping do you have. Enough for a complete setup? half? 1/4? TIA
  22. I was looking not sure if I have the money for an intercooler. I saw this one on ebay and was wondering is it any good. I am mosly worried about the size and efficiency of it. TIA http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7929823832&category=33742&sspagename=WDVW
  23. It is either the brake booster vacuum line or your brake booster itself leaking. While you are at it make sure your one-way check valve is working correctly. Check these three things out b4 you try anything else.
